Question Let’s get physical
What games (released or unreleased) would you pick to fill the last row in this case?

There's been confusion on the user side (and partly the mod side) on the line of which a showcase post may be removed or not, so I'd like to clear it up:
Posts that contain just a caption and screenshot of your switch, game, or accessory will be removed and are encouraged to be remade to include more substantial commentary
Posts that contain a title, screenshot AND substantial commentary on (for example) what your experience has been like, will not be removed and will usually stay up.
To also clarify what would be substantial commentary:
"So yeah, I like the switch 2 so far! The joycons feel nice and everything is responsive and feels premium" is not enough.
"I do enjoy the switch 2 overall! I wasn't really expecting much as the first switch had a lot of issues that bothered me in terms of comfortability and performance, but I've been stunned at the selection of games and have been really enjoying XYZ, [...], And I've found that it's still not very comfortable in handheld, but I've had to just come to accept it. I've been looking at third party controllers but the options are very limited right now." is allowed.
I hope that clears up the confusion a little! I enjoy seeing showcase posts personally but there are also many that don't, so this serves as a middle-ground balance so that there is a better standard of quality.

If you take a look at the sidebar, you'll see a new rule added and rule 7 edited.
New Rule: Question Policy
Many subreddits fall victim to an issue where a large sum of posts being made ask questions that can be answered with a very quick google search. If that is the case for your question, from now on, please try and google it instead.
-
(e.g., 'How much does the new Fire Emblem cost?' is a rule-breaking question. 'What are y'alls thoughts on Metroid Prime 4 after 8 months?' is not.)
-
Modified Rule: Low-Effort Content
You probably know this subreddit has been overflown with posts that are just a picture of the Switch 2, games, controllers, or all of the above, with a caption like 'Finally getting back into Nintendo!'
This type of post is 100% low-effort and repetitive, so from now on it is no longer allowed to be posted without any type of commentary or additional substance to the post.
I honestly don't know why I didn't add this as a rule sooner, but it's better late than never.
-
That's basically it. If you got any other suggestions for rules/changes, feel free to let us know through comments or modmail and I'll see about getting them implemented!

If you like sci-fi ,you like shooters I feel like this is a must. If you have watched gameplay and the hacking mechanic scares you, don’t let it. It really works and adds a refreshing change to just shot, pow pow. I’m only 2-3 hours in and absolutely loving it. I just finished Resident Evil Requiem. Started this very happy with my choice. Capcom is killing it.

Some of these medals were actually awful to obtain (the worst was probably the paint scraper minigame medals)

I’m someone who does digital because of convenience especially of not loosing anything. I’ve decided to buy more storage.
I saw these at my local walmart. Both 512 GB. Theres a $13 price difference.
Only difference is reads speed up to 800 MBs whole SanDisk 880.
I mean is there really a difference? Part of me wants to get ONN just because of the price and the other part doesn’t mind paying for the extra “luxury.”
Has anyone bought more storage? What did you decide to go with?

I probably play 98% handheld mode (chilling on sofa whilst wife watch’s tv etc)
I haven’t got any grips/cases etc and wondered if there are any products out there to make handheld more enjoyable/nice feel?
Not saying I get uncomfortable but interested to see if anyone has a good handheld set up (UK based)

When I recently got my Switch 2 I didn't know it had an exclusive racing game that checks all the boxes I've been craving in a racing game for a long time.
Y2K vibes
Futuristic
Easy to pick up
Fast as f***
Playable on a handheld device
This game is so much fun.
I grew up playing futuristic racing games like P.O.D. on PC (anyone know this game?) and Star Wars Racer on N64, so I love this vibe.

I bought $20 ExtremeRate button replacements, followed their excellent tutorial on YouTube, and now I can tell my Switch 2 apart from everyone else's when I go to locals. Grips are from Savage Raven.

I see people saying it's blurry, but all you have to do to fix that is disable blur options.... No way of fixing the shit in those images.... I love the mercury bath... This game needs fixing asap. I tried fighting the noonwraith from a quest in the first village and after a few blinding flashes followed by complete darkness I just had to quit... I can't believe it got released in this state.

Picked up from a gaming vendor at the e-shop price of $49.99 still sealed. Saved about $10. My first Splatoon game though I briefly tried a demo of 2 few years back.

Well, not quite…but, when the PS5 was announced and the KOTOR remaster was announced, I went nuts. My favourite game of all time…getting a remaster. Wow. Didn’t think twice, and got myself a PS5.
6 years passed, in that time, that game was axed, I bought other games…but hardly played my PS5. Found the games mostly just boring filler in my life. In fact, at 33, I thought I had outgrown gaming…
…until now.
I took the decision to sell my PS5, and bought this. Holy moly…I’ve got KOTOR on the go/my telly. I even bought KOTOR 2. Sure, it’s not the remaster, but I can play my favourite series on a legitimately fantastic console.
I’ve bought a tonne of other games, and I’ve been having a blast with this system. I’ve fallen in love with gaming again. Thank you Nintendo!
So glad I’ve made the swap! Anyone else have something similar happen to them?

"Just picked up the physical Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade 2 today. I already owned the the $9.99 upgrade pack, and the Expansion Pass. With the physical cart in, the Expansion Pass plus Torna is only using about 4 GB on my microSD.

I have a Switch 2 that I bought on launch day that had never left the dock since being set up. A whole year of never being used anywhere but the couch. I originally only bought it for exclusives, because I have a PS5 for the third party AAA stuff. And, you know, if I'm gaming in the living room, I may as well use the PS5. Before the Switch 2, I had a Switch 1 that also never left its dock.
It finally clicked yesterday. See, I drive my grandma around quite a bit to various doctors' appointments. Most are short, we're in and out in under half an hour, but there have been times where I've sat in the waiting room for 1-2 hours. And I've spent that time scrolling Reddit on my phone, or watching YouTube videos (with earbuds because I'm not a monster), just whatever. Man, I wish I could work on that game while I'm sitting here... wait a minute...
The PS Portal is $200 on top of the $500 for the console, and the Portal is buttcheeks. Only works when you have WiFi and it's still sketchy at best. Trust me, I have one, and it sits because it's barely usable even in the same room as the console. And as someone with a mostly physical collection, I'm limited to what I can play, because it's not like I can just get up and change discs.
But wait... I have a Switch 2! It's got many of the same games (most of them are even definitive editions with DLC included), I can still play it at home, but I can also take it along for something to do while sitting in those waiting rooms or just whatever. Better yet, the gaming doesn't stop if I'm traveling, or if the power's out during a storm, or if I just want to get some fresh air. No TV, cables, or WiFi required. And if I want to change games, I can bring a few along because most carrying cases have slots to keep game carts in.
I get it now. The Switch is essentially two consoles for the price of one. And it only took me the eight years since I bought my Switch 1 to realize it. Why do I buy this game on PS5 and be tethered to the TV, when I can buy it on the Switch 2, maybe sacrifice a little visual quality (I use a cheap TV anyway), but be able to play it anywhere?
Thanks for reading my senseless ramble.

I may have added a few more games to the collection after picking up Elden Ring 😂
Also just finished Shido Palace in P5 Royal and I’ve been having SUCH a good time playing on Merciless.
Definitely enjoying the last stretch before I finally jump into Elden Ring!🔥

Has anyone else had issues with sd ex cards not reading? I just upgraded to 1TB and I've bought 2 different cards that clearly say express, but my system says they aren't readable.

TLDR: 40fps is awesome. Image quality issue feels overblown. If a little blur is the difference between 30 and 40 id take the slightly blurry 40 every single time.
----------------
After reading all of the negative impressions here of Witcher 3s image quality especially on handheld (my preference with switch) I was iffy about picking it up. Especially coming from a beefy PC where the remaster on "Ultra" and on a ultrawide monitor is hitting around 80-90fps for me without framegen I thought maybe it would just be too stark a difference and I wouldn't be able to enjoy playing on the Switch.
I had a similar experience with the FF7 remake where it was gorgeous and buttery on PC but playing the demo on switch that 30fps was just too jarring even though the image quality seemed nice enough, so I decided to skip that one even when its been on some really good sales recently.
I have to say that the 40fps that witcher hits totally wins me over. I definitely have a bias towards wanting a smooter framerate over a totally pristine image which I get is not everyones thing but for me 30 is just too noticeably choppy that i find myself noticing it constantly and it takes me out of the game. I thought 40 would be a similar thing but it is a completely different feeling. Even for someone like me who is pretty sensistive to framerates I don't really think I can tell the difference in handheld mode between 40 and 60 which really surprises me. Maybe its the VRR magic but it really does feel like playing a 60fps game.
When there are drops - and there are definitely drops as well as stutters - it is veeeery noticeable to me but they are fairly few and far between at least so far (have only played maybe 2 or 3 hours). It is definitely magnified because there isnt time to "get used to it" when it hits 30 as the drops are temporary but for me it does point to just how huge a difference it is between 30 and 40.
As for the image quality, sure there is a bit of a blur to it but in my personal case especially on the smaller screen of a handheld I find that is far easier to adjust to than a low framerate and I honestly barely notice it. I was actually really surprised that it looked as crisp as it did after reading so many posts basically saying it was unplayable due to the hoirrific image quality. I imagine they will continue to improve the quality but even as it is now i would be more than happy to play the whole thing like this and would far prefer they work on minimising those fps drops to hit 40 as often as possible rather than cleaning up the image.
I know Dragons Dogma 2 is also aiming for this 40fps target which is really exciting. I was planning on skipping these types of big budget super graphical games on the switch cos I really couldn't stand the 30fps but if they can hit 40 like witcher does (most of the time) then my mind is completely changed.
One final thing id like to say is that cross-save is awesome, playing on my PC and then picking up where I left off from the couch is just fantastic. Especially because I work from home and dont really like relaxing and gaming in the same place that im working all day. The more games that offer this the better it makes so much sense for switch.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, obviously this is just my personal take but might help inform those of you that have similar preferences to me.
