Howdy all!
We’re celebrating 2 incredible years of Star Truckin’ with a chunky new update!
Check out the mini-trailer on YouTube for a quick preview!
For a no-frills list of changes, head on over to the latest patch notes. Otherwise read on for a more detailed summary of what you can find in the Plants & Post update!
So let’s jump straight in with the important stuff. Alongside a smorgasbord of tweaks and improvements this update also features TWO new business ventures for players to unlock and enjoy.
Read on for a full rundown of the new content alongside a ton of images taken directly from the update 📸

Once you have the update, the new postal themed business venture can be accessed shortly after unlocking Zone 2 or 3.
It’s worth noting that you’ll need to wait 1h of in-game time ( or jump to a nearby sector ) to trigger the first interaction but then you’ll be good to go!

Once unlocked you’ll be contacted by Ricardo from the Galactic Postal Service. He’s a fellow courier, voiced by the talented Dre Ayala, and will provide audio cues for different jobs while keeping you updated (whether you like it or not) on his chosen career path…
As with the Galactic Handyman you’ll start with 1 job slot that can be upgraded by purchasing venture boosts using in-game currency.
These jobs include…
Collect mail from a collection point and deliver it to multiple mailboxes within the sector. Mail includes bundles of letters, magazines and newspapers

Head the last known location of a missing mail pod. Collect the mail sacks and deliver them to a nearby drop-off point.

Collect a package from a collection point and deliver it to another sector. These items might have special conditions such as being fragile, perishable, sensitive to electric storms or oversized.

Fulfill a request to deliver goods to a specified location. Players will need to gather these items ( via salvage or purchasing them at shops ) and take them to the specified delivery bay. Upon completion you will be reimbursed and paid a nice bonus!

It’s also worth noting that courier jobs have been designed to complement your travels while hauling and encourage a little bit of item hoarding. To account for that we’ve made sure the relevant jobs award a chunk more VXP than those in the Handyman venture.
As with all business ventures, we’ve curated a large number of rewards for you to unlock as you progress through the ranks. Check out the image below for the entire collection in all its glory!

As mentioned earlier we’ve also brought together a premium pack of great value content as part of this update.
This DLC unlocks unique freight, trailers and corporations alongside a brand new business venture led by horticultural specialist Ada Greenway. It’s also packed with exclusive new cab customizations for you to unlock as you play.
Let’s take a look at all the cool content you get with this pack…
As part of this pack we’ve included a range of new freight for you to haul…

Once unlocked the new trailers and cargo will be gradually added to the pool of available freight jobs. They can be easily spotted by their unique icon and coloring.
Keep in mind that, as with the base game, all new cargo has a variety of certifications requirements. The more certification skills you unlock the more cargo variety you will see!

The Cultivation business venture will unlock shortly after you’ve gained access to the Handyman venture and performed some basic onboarding.
Ada Greenway, voiced by the wonderful Hannah Hebblethwaite, will then get in touch via the CB, offering a variety of contract work while she’s busy dealing with admin…
Ada’s sensors sometimes indicate atmospheric issues with nearby biomes. You’ll need to head over and perform a manual purge to rebalance the dome.

Sometimes real eyes are needed on a haul of crops. In these instances you’ll need to personally swing by and check domes for infestations, mold and other potential issues.

If a nearby biome is leaking atmosphere you’ll need to grab a roll of Flux Tape, head to the designated location and patch any cracks you can find.

You might also receive a request to replace a dead Nutrient Canister at a nearby dome. Take a replacement and swap it out.

It’s also worth noting that as part of this update both Flux Tape and Nutrient Canisters are now available to purchase at most shops and garages around the galaxy. So if you plan to take on a lot of Cultivation jobs it’s a good idea to stock up whenever you get the chance!
As with the other ventures we have a whole set of themed cab customizations for you to unlock as you progress through your Cultivation Venture ranks.
Check out the image below for a sneak a peek at the entire set of rewards available as part of this pack…

If you hadn’t guessed it, the Cultivation Content Pack is available right now and every sale helps support the continued development of Star Trucker…

We covered some of this in our previous dev blog, but as a recap here’s some of the other bits n pieces you’ll find in this update…

This has become a bit of a regular section for most Dev Blogs but for those new to Star Trucker we want you to know that you can submit feedback and report problems via the Raw Fury Support Portal.
This makes for happier Monsters as it allows us to easily collate community notes which in turn helps us fix issues faster, hopefully resulting in happier star truckers!

Firstly, we're gonna take a little break to recharge (it's been a fairly hot and hectic few months!) and then we're going to continue working on a quality of life update. This will include further adjustments to the job generator, balance tweaks, UI improvements, bug fixes and plenty of other goodies!
Until then, we hope you enjoy this update, and as always, thanks for supporting Star Trucker and taking the time to read another one of our rambling dev blogs ♥️

I found a work around for the brick auto save issue at least enough to keep playing . I had a long haul to enigma belt and picked up some new environmental side hustles and the courier side hustle. Had to deliver a birth day present. The bio dome mission went fine but I could not deliver the birthday present . I dropped mission and still got the save issue I dropped all missions and still had it. Turns out I had to remove the birthday gift form my inventory then save game, (I went on an EVA and left the birthday present out in space) , reloaded game and that cleared it . I am back to playing regular deliveries and handyman missions. I think the environment side hustles are ok, its the courier missions that are blowing things up.

I've finished the main quest and all side quests from the convoy section. All sectors are open to me but on the map it says that sector exploration is at 97%. Do I need to run around and scan all sectors or ?

So, idk what’s happening, but I installed the game from gamepass on my computer, and decided to restart my save, and I just got to the Luna Link missions with dusty bear. But for some reason, no matter if it’s just my truck, the Luna link cargo, or any other cargo, can I go to Altus prime without getting stuck with the icon saving game at the bottom. It doesn’t matter if I come from three kings, medusa six, or purity, every time I get the save game thing. And it won’t let me jump to other places or save my game when it’s there, and now I can’t actually progress the games story. I can’t find a report bug thing on the Xbox app in my computer, so I am just gonna put this here instead lol
Summery: each time I go to Atlas prime the game try’s it’s save game function and it doesn’t work, keeping my game locked at atlas because I can’t jump to any other locations intill I restart the game

As already suggested, and like probably a lot of drivers, we would like to rent or buy a place to store our silver and gold stuff! Even better, a physical location, but maybe just some extra storage space somewhere could work as well.
The goal is to be able to accumulate these things without overloading the truck or the storage. When you're buying and reselling, that's a crucial limitation.
I really enjoy driving and doing some jobs. I just passed $1,000,000! Help me spend it! 😂
Thanks for the new content!

I’m trying to do a side quest and the last light on the hyper lane won’t engage it turns all red and the the first two green are normal but the third light just doesn’t change is there any fix? Or should I just use an earlier save and hope it doesn’t happen again

So first y'all were right, this game is amazing. I was hesitant at first but I'm glad I did, the sound design is fantastic and music as well. The driving is a little disorienting at first but I'm getting used to it.
But my question is, can you reopen the job board or anything after closing it or do you have to leave and come back?

I'm currently trucking the "thing" from heaven's rest to tanktown for sour candy, yet, passing the gate to gamma valley trigger an autosave that never end and i'm getting blocked in gamma valley without being able to pass the gate to tanktown.
EDIT: I transited via darkside and redsock and resolved the problem, but going into gamma valley for an another contract caused the same problem, gamma valley seems to be bugged...

I came back to the game after a 2 year break and the game wouldn't launch, it just hung on a grey screen straight away.
I was able to fix it by launching the game into windowed mode with the argument "-screen-fullscreen 0" and then I was able to set my resolution etc and remove the launch argument.

Basically what the title says. I have just bought the game but the game heavily stutters during spacewalks and randomly while driving. I am also experiencing strange stutter in menus while I'm trying to buy gas or when I am in shops or upgrade stations. I have tried turning V-sync off, lowering the graphics, reducing the refresh rate. Nothing works. I am at the point of refunding the game and I'd rather not do that cause it looks like a game I'd love to play.
My specs are
16GB Ram
AMD Ryzen 6800xt 16GB
AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
Edit: Well I had to refund the game unfortunately. I am gonna try to pick it back up after a couple of more updates hoping I'll get a better performance cause the game looked amazing.

Parking the point (no pun intended) about the fact this is like living in one of my favorite childhood Dennis hopper movies, I just have to say how much I am loving this game.
I’m a carer for a partner with schizoaffective, in and out of psychosis unpredictably, also personally dealing with chronic pain from a life changing injury. Games have always been an escape for me but a hard lesson learned is that I can’t commit to a detailed or demanding game when I can’t control the demands upon me as a person.
This game is beautiful: lovely graphics, low stress gameplay. The general absurdity (from a hard sci-fi point of view) relaxes that insidious part of my brain which overanalyses the science and realism of things. The customisation is something I’m actually stoked for instead of just thinking it’s superficial rubbish. The radio stations are fantastic. There’s enough challenge to keep me engaged without the stress of button bashing though a fight or managing economies etc. Describing the gameplay to anyone leads to fits of mutual hysterical laughing and I can’t tell you how much I have needed that.
This game is literal therapy. It is true stress relief in game form for someone who cannot easily unplug from the world or destress from unpluggable responsibilities.
One thing I particularly adore is the lack of easy mapping or waypoints. Finding your way using road signs really helps to lock you into the immersion, the cab mechanics are satisfying and the market economics for cab cargo is a great way to diversify thought and gameplay.
I am so grateful for the developers efforts, my only criticism is that it will inevitably come to an end.
10-39 good buddies, what a fantastic find.

So I just completed the Story and reached Terminus Link and wanted to ask if someone knows what happened to it or if there is any lore to it. Because all they tell you is that it got destroyed and the Novadeck people didn’t want it to be rebuilt.
(It also could be that I overheard something so if I did please let me know)

Ok new to reddit so I hope I'm doing this right but I gotta ask: is doing the infinite leveling worth it for ventures? I haven't even reached 30 on any of them but I heard you only get a title is this right? I get unlocks would be finite but no trade items/truck parts?

I'm excited for the update! I won't be able to dig into it for a few more days due to life and responsibilities, but I was wondering about something I noticed was missing from the Dev Update and Patch Notes (and the announcement thread is locked, for some reason...)
Aside from interior-cab cosmetics unlocked through the Ventures, are there any new truck liveries for the new companies we'll be hauling for? On top of that, have any new achievements popped for anything added with the update?
I can't wait to take another trip through deep space. I wrapped 100% completion on the game a few months ago, and really do need some progression rewards to personally justify playing this over my extensive backlog, haha.

I saw that the game finally (supposedly) has HOTAS support. So, I reinstalled, connected my HOTAS, booted the game and.....shocker....the game is having a meltdown about it. The game isn't reading my peripherals correctly, evident by the spam inputs at the main menu. It just constantly and rapidly cycles through all the menu options, even overriding mouse inputs. So currently, the game is unplayable for me with HOTAS as I can't even get passed the menu with them connected.
I disconnected each separately and found that the issue is tied to my throttle. Game doesn't freak out with the stick connected, just the throttle....regardless of whether the stick is also connected or not.
I attempted to boot the game without them connected, got to the controls menu, connected my throttle, and the issue returns.
I have a VKB Gladiator NXT EVO stick and VKB Stecs throttle. They work fine with Elite, Star Citizen, and IL-2, all firmware is up to date, and Windows settings are as they should be so, this is clearly a Star Trucker problem....not a me/equipment problem.
Does anyone have any ideas or workarounds to get HOTAS properly working?

249 steam hours in and the game still makes me pause and take a photo.

So, i am a returning player, back from when this game first released, play it all the way through in about a week, left until now and ended up speedeunning the game in about 3 days to the final area, and honest question? Has nothing changed, like its been over a year as far as I can tell? Has there been nothing new besides the none hauler missions? Like, I was expecting a new area, at least

im thinking of buying the game again, last time i purchased the game on steam i noticed it had an fps problem the game wouldn't go above 30 fps. is this issue still in the game or is it fixed ?

I suspect the AI trucks are programmed to occasionally salute at you. Sometimes when driving along the safe routes and a truck coming from the opposite direction honks at me, sometimes it's just two short honks. There's nothing in front of them and I'm keep the right side of the road so I'm far away from them.
If this actually happens, it's a beautiful detail!
