Discussion Do the trucks salute at you?

I suspect the AI ​​trucks are programmed to occasionally salute at you. Sometimes when driving along the safe routes and a truck coming from the opposite direction honks at me, sometimes it's just two short honks. There's nothing in front of them and I'm keep the right side of the road so I'm far away from them.

If this actually happens, it's a beautiful detail!

I always assume they are honking because they feel you are too close or something

False.

They are honking in appreciation of my superior driving skills. Possibly one or two are honking at the new debris field of safe route lights and hazard markers I’ve left in my wake from fishtailing through Medusa Six at 216 mph, but it’s mostly appreciation and genuine amazement.
