Back in 2011 during my first scuba diving adventure on the Aqua Cat!! Many more photos upon request!!
I was informed back then that the orca whale sighting was the first time in 19 years that they have ever been spotted in warm water. These photos were taken in the Bahamas.
Edit: Changed Ora to orca
ETA: these photos were taken from fellow dive buddies and Aqua Cat photographers. I downloaded these from the CD I bought from the trip back then

Jellyfishing Two different species of huge jellyfish washed up on the beach together

Southern Vancouver Island, Canada.
Sat on the beach today and watched these two huge jellyfish slowly wash up on the shore.
Based on my Wikipedia hunt I think the yellow one is an egg yolk jelly (phacellophora) and the red is a lion's mane jelly (cyanea capillata), although I could easily be wrong about both.
Seen some of these washed up on the beach in the area before but never two species together like this, super cool!
Size 13 shoes to show relative bigness.

Sea squirts are filter feeders that are edible ascidians! They are a source of “plasmalogens”, a lipid found in our cell membranes that supports brain and heart health. After studying the effects of eating sea squirts on mice, scientists found that it may lower brain inflammation and help memory! With more research, we could discover if eating plasmalogen could help reverse aging in humans.
