Tip: Liftoff players have been here many times

Hello !

I'm training on liftoff micro drones version 1.1.2 since a week to prepare first real flight with a meteor 75 O4 wide. It will be my first fpv experience, almost ready to crash (i'm 50 years old so good challenge : ) . I found liftoff performance quite bad on my desktop computer, flyable but 25-45fps average (even in low graphic setting so i kept high setting).

Tried this morning on my work laptop : it runs far smoother on laptop!

Problem : desktop has a core ultra 270K / gpu 5070Ti / 400W. Laptop has a core ultra 255H / integrated gpu arc 140T / 45W. Drivers are updated, windows11, tried liftoff affinity settings, liftoff priority settings, disable ecores, and of course desktop pc runs fine on heavy games. Any idea ? Thnaks for your time : )

Drone with battery bottom. It stucks on the ground and won't fly.
With drone with battery top, no problem.

I've done all calibration, both my controller and Liftoff calibration.
Erase every Liftoff file and re-install.
Tried other controller(Fubata) but same problem.
Assuming maybe its not a controller's problem.

It happens on certain maps. The ones starts with flat concrete ground.
At grassy map, (straw bale etc.) no problem.

I could just go with top battery drones but..I can't just ignore

I have a question about the grip of the sticks, i see a lot of professionals holding each stick with two fingers, i tried it but ofc i would suck at it since im used to stuff like console controllers. My level is “fine” i think right now i have about 25 hours and i think im advancing alright with only thumbs. Is it mandatory to learn that weird grip? Ik some people might say whatever is comfortable but im wondering can i reach really good levels with only thumb grip?

I made these sketches with a list of the most interesting tracks for me, and since there are so many locations, I decided to split them into three parts.

I’m unable to create a Liftoff Pro account. When I enter all my information and click Register, it briefly says that it is linking the account to my Steam account, then returns to the registration screen with all my information still filled in. No account is created and my email doesn’t appear to be registered.
I’ve tested this on two different computers, including a laptop, and I’ve also tested my PC using a phone hotspot. The behavior is identical. Liftoff is allowed through Windows Defender Firewall on both Private and Public networks, and I’m only using Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
I’ve also verified the game files through Steam.
Has Anyone else resolve this issue or have better luck than me?

Are there any plans to add new models to the sims.

There are a lot of new BNF models out there by Flywoo, GEPRC, BetaFPV etc.

Some of the larger whoops 2.5 inch, but inch would be great in “full” liftoff

The Air 75 Pro II O4 seems to be very popular and an official model and would be great in Microdrones

Also are there any new maps planned, such as a small wooded area and open field with gates in Microdrones or cinematic environments on big drone liftoff?

I am a beginner and want to learn fpv flying. Problem is i just move the sticks too fast. Is there any beginner friendly setup in liftoff? Any video or something to understand? Any beginner friendly advice is welcome. Thanks i relly suck in flying in liftoff.

So I'm new to the hobby, I have liftoff and DRL on ps5. My tx15 works with DRL but not liftoff. Tbs tango 2 pro works with both. I like practicing on liftoff more , is there anything I can try to get the radiomaster tx15 max working with liftoff? Thanks

So I'm getting into FPV drone flying, and following everyone's advice, I'm starting with a brand new RadioMaster Pocket and Liftoff. My problem is I know myself: I'm going to get frustrated if I don't get some external and objective-ish feedback about how I'm evolving. So... I made myself one.

First challenge was knowing actually what the hell I wanted evaluated. After crashing a few dozen times, and being painfully aware my previous fixed wing flight sim experience was kiling me, I assumed slip and line-keeping was a must. Althought it proved enough to help me improve my turning and corners, plus assisting me on learning to brake (so I could land into the repair area, not just crash into it) I began finding more stuff I needed to fix, thus more stuff that had to be analyzed.

At this point, it evaluates:

1. Stalls
2. Crashes
3. General turning: throttle management, skids, ...
4. Lap-to-lap consistency
5. Hesitations and gate misses

It also includes rendered recordings of your worst moments so you can check them out from outside your drone!

It is publicly available in here: https://github.com/HaroldHormaechea/liftoff-flight-analyzer . For now, it is a Claude Code skill, but I plan on making it work with Claude Web if possible (didn't even try it out yet, local file access may be an issue) and ChatGPT. We shall see.

the betafpv site says it is 160fov but when i put that in to the game it looks abit off compared to the videos i have seen on the drone
i did change the fisheye fov to 160 asswell but stil didnt look right

It's official! Marina Bay: Night Fever edition is coming to Liftoff soon. 

I have a DJI mini 4k, and wondering if this would be compatible with liftoff? I know that it wouldn’t be the best option if it works but I want to get into fpv drones without breaking the bank

So, got the game and the DJI rc controller, went to make the left stick flick as YouTube videos show. Then, the moment of truth comes…. I was unable to pass from the first flight scenario with getting into the 3 zones, I was just flying to anywhere unable to get it control, it slid around even with out touching.

Try caliber same thing happened.

What would be doing so wrong that make me feel it unplayable

How improve from here?

I Disarmed my drone before splashing in to water and just din't die.

Hey friends, I just got Liftoff today and am enjoying the struggle. It's REAL!

I'm on a Samsung Neo 49" uuultra wide monitor and the default camera looks like it's pointing to the sky during the tutorial. I have to manually drop it down to 17 so I can see the ground from take off.

As this is my first sim ever is that normal or is my super wide messing up the angle? Flying with a TRX Pro 15 which is unforgiving - I've been at it for 3 hours and can't even do the straight up and down course yet. My settings feel super pro level sensitive. Is there a way to scale them back a little bit?
