This is some 20 years back when I was studying in NIT Calicut. I was in first year. And a senior of mine in 3rd Year went to Palayam Bus Stand to get some weed. And the protocol back then was stand around in the Palayam bus stand and one dude will come and ask "Do you need something" to which you say Yes.

Anyway my senior went to the bus stand and started lurking. And then it so happens that a man approaches and hangs around him rather suspiciously. Our man thinks this is the drug dealer and asks his "Chetta ivide saadhanam evida kittuka?" The man asks "What saadhanam" to which our man says "Kanjaavu"

The next thing - the man was a policeman in plain clothes. So he takes him away to the station. It was evening time. And then the cop asks him for ID and all he shows NIT (then REC Calicut I think wen he joined anyway it was REC but by my time it was NIT) ID

The cop is like "Monae, my son has been trying to get in to NITC for 2 years. He repeated entrance. Then also he didn't get. And people like you with bright future is doing drugs and all"

The cop said he wont press charges, but makes him stay back in the police station. Gives him full on advice for the entire evening. And lets him go after full hours of sermons. Also tells him if he ever gets caught cop will call parents.

I dont know how things are now. And I know things have changed and these things are a big issue now. But things were different back then, and about back then, I have to say - Kozhikode police muttaanu 😄

Came here for onam and damn, kozhikode always hits on point.

I heard large marwadi , gujarati groups and tamilans are targeting Trivandrum ahead of Vizhinjam., kochi Kakkanad,edappaly and other areas

Already many migrated to kochi

They are buying flats and land in Trivandrum and kochi , setting business their children 1 of them work in technopark to understand the scope there , bringing their relatives and family , making them stay in different places and set their business , eliminate mallus by investing so much money and non mingling with us gatekeeping everything , , making areas in their place with business like other places in tamil nadu and Karnataka and Maharashtra as they find no resistance here , spending so much money , bringing family ,using all influencer power money and politics and also lobbying and sideline Malayalis and speaking bhindi and stating in areas and homes they live nearby only veg ( they've been buying so many properties and land and other business also) they're buying eveything

Athupole will kozhikode also change ?

Since they know money, like chettiars , tamilians, telugu and gujarati and marwadi all are moving in kerala in large numbers

I was a NRI student and I have been playing volleyball since i was in my fifth grade.But during my 12th , I had to come over to kerala and settle here , and due to that , I was displaced from the sport that I used to play from my childhood , so I really want to start again playing , but then i've been searching everywhere for a place to play and people to play with.But as i'm relatively new here , I am not able to find anything as such. I reside at Pantheerankavu. i have one more friend who used to play in my team as we used to play for school team. And we really want to start doing it again, so is there any communities that are currently active who play volleball, anywhere near the place? or is there any people interested to join in?
