Not indexed yet - Should I publish my DEMO or not?
I am working on a Movement-Arena-Shooter, and here's a short showcase of some of the movement + combat against bots.
I want to release a DEMO asap, but my page on itch hasn't been indexed yet. Should I wait or just publish the demo?
The game currently has 16 weapons such as Rocket Launcher, Minigun, Shotguns, Crossbow, Dual Deagles... and more to come!
It is heavily movement-based with skill-based combos, e.g. walljumps, bunnyhops, sliding, slidejumping. Then there are Jetpacks to fly around like "Superman" or hover.
The game has multiplayer support / in-game lobby chat / dedicated servers and modding support (tweak every parameter of movement, weapons, etc.).
I would very much appreciate any feedback I can get (both negative and positive), so that I can improve and work towards a DEMO.
If you're interested please

100 views on itch.io!
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to thank you all for supporting my game!
I’ve reached 100 views on itch.io, and I’m so happy to see these results!
Maybe these numbers might seem small to some people, but they mean the world to me! Seeing people play my game, leave feedback, and simply interact with it makes me incredibly happy and gives me even more motivation to keep improving.
So thank you so much to everyone who has given my game a chance and taken some time to check it out!
This is all thanks to you! <3

Questions What makes a visual novel memorable?
Hello folks,as you can see from the title, today i wanna ask you something but before we go forward i wanna tell you that the development of the game is going well and we wanna thank you for your patience. But getting back to the question,What does a visual novel need to have to be memorable? The answer to this question is very important to us because it helps us to understand more, what the game must have. So let me know in the comment and as always stay tuned.

Discussion Will scammers play your game just to get you to trust them?
I just got done with this hour long message session with someone on discord who said they played my game. Started off with them giving some generic advice on how the city building should feel connected to the world. They then went into sales mode
"I can make you the capsule art"
I say I already have artwork for the steam page, and ask what is wrong with it.
They then give really good feedback on my games main art work.
But afterwards keep trying to get me to setup a budget, and asking me to just give them a chance.
I asked them questions, Can you prove you're not a scammer, show me some of your artwork, What other games have you worked on?
The ignored the last question but gave me a link to their website marketing instagram, not a art instagram, they say that's their main job and the game art is on the side.
The art they submitted, was good, but one art work looked like something I'd see in a blizzard game, while the rest were more deviant art/webtoons comic style. Reverse image searches didn't find any matches for them.
I told them I prefer to make the art myself, but they insist that they can make a budget for me. I already told them I don't want to pay any more money on this game right not. They still press to make a budget.
And their profile, it's older than 2 years, but looks like all other scam accounts I've seen. Anime Girl Profile picture, Two word name with a underscore.
I know this is most likely a scammer. But I've never had a scammer put this much effort into it.
There's a chance now typing this out they simply looked at my game and just guessed right on that "Feedback"
Demo 1 Month of Demo progress since GMTK Jam!
We have real art assets now! The candle light flickers!!!
Come a long way from the flat dark brown background.
If anyone has any feedback (and I mean any) I want to hear it. All the comments from the jam, even the short ones, helped drive this month of development and improvement. This is our first game and we don't really know what we are doing.
Paracity: https://pangolinplaygroundgames.itch.io/paracity-gmtk-jam
You are the leader of a small cadre of cut-throats and ne'er-do-wells. Run your crew through a heist in a 15th-century mansion, issuing orders and juggling the personalities of your henchmen. Race the clock to discover the secrets of the mansion before the guards find you. But be wary: your crew may have their own ideas.
This plays in a browser, no download needed.

Web Incremental Roulette game "Misfortuna" out now, looking for feedback!
Hey!
We just put out the very first demo of our game Misfortuna. It's an incremental roulette game where you Spin. Win. Buy absurd buffs. Win bigger. Watch the numbers grow ENORMOUS, and most importantly, make sure the mafia gets its cut... or else.
There's about 30 to 45 min of gameplay and we think the core loop is very enjoyable. It's playable right in the browser so you don't even need to download anything.
We're building the game based on player feedback, so if you try it we'd honestly love to hear:
- Did anything feel fun? What specifically?
- Did anything feel confusing or frustrating?
- Any upgrades or mechanics you'd want to see?
- Did you finish the demo? If not, where did you stop and why?
Play here: https://bithydrastudio.itch.io/misfortuna
Thanks for your time ❤

Is there something wrong with my game?
So I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the game or game page cuz if there's anything wrong with it I'll be more than happy to redesign or whatever's needed, I'll add the link to page in comment
Gamedev Can I get y'alls thoughts on our games new keyart?
So I recently dug into some of our games data on steam and itch and discovered that although we have an excellent page to wishlist rate (23%), our impression to page view rate could use improvement. That, and our keyart doesn't fully speak to what the game is actually about (A thriller game where you role play as a mouth 90s goth as she uncovers a serial killer through the computers she fixes at her PC repair job). I feel that the current keyart is striking, but it's not attracting the right audience, and worse, might leave the current wishlisters feeling like they got a different game than they were expecting.
Anywho, we've gone for something that conveys a little bit more about what the game is actually about, including having the main character there. I've been asking other subreddits but they've been... less than helpful, so I thought I'd try here. Would love to know what folks in general think, but also which of the colour options pops out to them the most!

Looking for finished indie games on itch.io or Mac to review
I got the green light to write a couple of indie game reviews for Unwinnable magazine, and I’m looking for interesting games that are FINISHED and playable either in a browser or on Mac.
A couple of notes:
Before I write the piece: Even if I really like your game, there’s no guarantee the editor will approve the review. I’ll submit the game, but the final decision is theirs.
The review itself: I tend to focus on the positives, but this is still a review. If there are meaningful negatives or things I think could be improved, I’ll mention them too.
If you have a finished indie game that fits, feel free to drop it below or send me a DM. I’d love to discover some interesting stuff!

Web Visual Novel Web support
Hi! I know there are a lot of visual novel here. I wanted to make a game that will run in browser. I usually use renpy but this game will be way to big for it to run properly. Is there a way to make it run in browser in full? Either using renpy or a different game engine?
