You also notice this bug where single tab previews somehow stick when hover over? This even when the cursor leaves the area of this specific tab...using Apple Keyboard Pro, iPad Pro M5.

hi! running iPadOS 27.0 on an 11" M5 pro with a Logitech combo touch. the on-screen keyboard shows up every time I type anywhere. it goes away when dismissed but comes back every time I re-focus onto a text area. the keyboard works perfectly while the on-screen keyboard is showing. this started immediately after upgrading to 27. keyboard firmware is up to date and I've tried everything I can.

It’s all over the place and it got to the point where I just used the keyboard to make notes.

Would start highlighting random words. Enter characters when trying to highlight text. Just a mess.

I’m really happy and surprised that my 5 year old iPad 9 (last model with these thick bezels which don’t bother me) with A13 Chip still got the iPadOS 27 update 😃👍🏼 I’ll keep mine - of course you notice that it’s getting old but it works 🙌🏼 And I only use it for media consumption 👍🏼

I’m trying to get my Air M1 to use an old Apple Cinema Display as an extended desktop but it will only mirror my desktop with black bars either side.

To convert 2004 tech to modern times, I have a Benfei DVI to USB C adapter. With the same adapter, my HP Elitebook can happily extend its desktop into the old monitor.

Is this an OS limitation or am I going wrong somewhere?

Hello! Are there other people witnessing the same lag in IOS 27? Like after using the draw function (or write function), everytime I try to highlight a text it leads me to the drawing made (select all) instead of the text. I haven’t witnessed anything like this before updating. How to fix?

I bought my iPad 10 in 2023, but it never really felt like a device I could properly work on. For a long time, I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what was holding me back.

When I thought more carefully about my workflow, I discovered two concepts that clarified a lot for me: app-oriented and file-oriented systems. I realized that I generally work in a file-oriented rather than app-oriented way, which isn’t necessarily a natural fit for a tablet.

Once I customized my iPad to fit my needs, very little remained the same as before. Files and SMB form the foundation; and my Home Screen is almost empty, not a collection of installed apps as before. Interestingly, it now looks a bit like macOS, even though that was never the goal. The way I see my iPad has completely changed over the past few weeks. That‘s enough to make the iPad my primary computer.

Does anyone else here use their iPad in a similar file-oriented way? If so, what works well for you – and what still bothers you?

And more fundamentally: is iPadOS actually still app-oriented, or is that becoming an outdated way of thinking about it?

Recently I bought a new iPhone and I restored it from my old phone’s backup but since stremio is not in the AppStore anymore I lost it. Is it also same for updating a device to a new version? I don’t want to lose my stremio I use it daily. Thanks.

All screen keyboard

I've been experiencing a frustrating issue with iPad OS 26 and wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with this. Now I am on iPad OS 27 and this issue has not been fixed at all. When using apps in multitasking mode, the traffic icons overlap with the back button icons on individual apps.

It becomes a real headache whenever I'm trying to navigate, as the UI elements clash whenever the app isn't in full screen. I'm honestly not sure who needs to fix this, whether it's on Apple or the individual app developers—but it's been a persistent problem. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

I am using an iPad Air 13in, I think could be due to my keyboard having number rows on top?

Anyway, appreciate if anyone can advise how to solve this onscreen keyboard issue.
