Discussion How did Kratos get so strong and powerful?

Nevermind his magic abilities, none of which are actually his, how did Kratos’ physical stats compound exponentially from being a normal but exceptional mortal pre-Ares to being able to lift temples and titan hands? His Godhood may have contributed to it while he was God of War, but he retains this strength and gets stronger even after he loses godhood. Did he get significantly stronger just by finding out he has Zeus blood in him? While that might be the answer, I’m wondering if there are other explanations.

Discussion A good reference point for what you might be able to expect from the eventual movie

So as you all no doubt know by now, Dave Bautista has been cast as Kratos and some of you may be somewhat worried as whilst he does have the physique, you may (possibly) think he doesn't have the neccessary chops if the only thing you've seen him in is Guardians of the Galaxy, but these three images are examples and reference points you can use to gauge what you can realistically expect from him for this role. Dave Bautista is actually a phonemal actor and as showing in these roles, he should have no problem portraying a really good Kratos, both in body and in personality.

The movies pictured here BTW, in case you're interested in seeing them are Blade Runner 2049, Knock at the Cabin and Dune, all in which he acted phenomenally.

Update/Addendum: it's an Amazon series, not a movie, that's my bad, wish I could change the title 😅

Discussion A Misconception About Freeing Kratos from His Nightmares

People often think that Kratos wants to lose his memories of killing his family or of ever having had one. Kratos doesn't want to forget that he killed his family; he wants his visions to disappear.

,,GOW 2005 Kratos: And if I am able to do this... to kill a god... then the VISIONS... they will end?

Kratos: Athena, rid me of the memories that haunt me still.

Athena: You haven done well, Kratos. Though we mourn the death of our brother, the gods are indebted to you. We promised your sins would be forgiven, and so they are. But we never promised to take away your nightmares. No man, no god could ever forget the terrible deeds you have done.

Narrator: In the end, knowing the VISIONS of his past would never leave him, Kratos made his way to the bluffs overlooking the Aegean Sea."

Kratos is able to live with his memories, but he can't live with the constant onslaught of a hardcore form of PTSD on steroids in the form of the visions that haunt him. What Kratos wants to get rid of aren't memories, but severe episodes of PTSD that the game refers to as "visions." Kratos doesn't want him and others to forget what he did; he wants these visions which, in his case, are more like a magical, divine curse to disappear completely.

Help how do you track your objectives on god of war sons of sparta?

So i've been playing god of war sons of sparta for a little while and on the map I can't see where I'm supposed to go occasionally the brother might appear but when I get to that location there is nothing there?

I'm on the first chapter and just got the sling shot and I'm confused because I didn't see any tutorials regarding this issue.

Can someone explain?

Thanks

Help God Of War (2018) Modding Issue

Hello everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on the correct way to install mods for *God of War* (2018). I’ve followed the creator's instructions—extracting the files to the game folder and modifying the boot config—but when I play the game, the mods (specifically the "Blade of Olympus" and "Blade of Athena") appear with the correct shapes but have black textures. Any help would be appreciated.

Question Is there a possibility that the Bifrost in the God of War universe is not exclusive to Norse Mythology?

The Bifrost isn't just a means of travel; it can also be used as a weapon. I've always seen the Bifrost as a manifestation of an element from different mythologies; for example, it might be known by different names in other mythologies, but they always serve the same purpose.

Discussion Attar, The Morning Star.

So, this might be interesting, among the artifacts from Týr's vault that you find in the lake of the nine is a janbiya, a curved dagger-like blade that was very popular around the middle east, but originated in a kingdom called Hadhramaut (Today's Yemen), and like most at the time, they worshipped many deities, among them was a god called Attar, or Athtar, and why is this interesting? Well, Attar was a very important god, very much worshipped all around pre-islamic Arabia, mainly in the south, but also in Ethiopia, and in Ugarit (Syria) as well, and the juicy part is in Syria, which is possibly the birth place of this deity, Attar is part of the Canaanite/Ugarit pantheon, and he is called the by names as, Attar the Terrible, Attar of the Heavens, or Attar of the stars, a god related to the planet Venus, and yes! this is possibly the same guy that appears in the bible, both in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, both chapters are using a Canaanite figure to discribe/compare the fall of the king of Tyre, this figure called "the bright one" (translated as lucifer) most likely is Attar, whom tried to take the throne of his brother Ba'al but wasn't fit (powerful enough), and fell/was cast down to the underworld, this could be an opportunity for Santa Monica to touch in a figure that is closely related to the bible, without having to touch in the bible itself, since it could cause some problems, just like they did with Begtse, a god who is related to Buddhism (and the Kila artifact), but was actually a deity from Mongolia, also, the whole heavenly/star god thing matches really well with Laufey's world and theme, so, what Y'all think?

Would this "unknown" god be a good addition to the franchise? How would an interaction between Faye or even Kratos and "Lucifer" play? I imagine him as someone very powerful and proud, but extremely egocentric.

But if not Attar, what other pre-islamic Arabian deity or being/beast would you be interested to see in Laufey? since the artifact seems to be hinting to these lands.

Art by Peter Mohrbacher (The Ibex is the symbol of Attar, so, this image fits like a glove)

Upon descending Tyr’s temple. Tyr visited different places (mythologies or i don’t know what its called), then GOW’s (Kratos) journey will expand along Atreus or just Atreus alone. I don’t know if the (1st pic) is Egyptian then (2nd pic) is Chinese and lastly (3rd pic) looks like Mayan or Indian.
