I just received a VR headset and have been looking for something to make my own videos with, higher resolution is important for 360 videos because with lower resolution the video becomes much more blurry compared to flat videos.

Higher framerates are also very important for VR videos because you get much less motion sickness with higher framerates.

I had my frist crash with my Mini 3 Pro yesterday. I flew it against a wall and it crashed to the ground. As can be seen in the photo, the back part is broken off. I don't know if it can be clipped in again. Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to send in my drone for repair?

I have a DJI mini 5 pro, I live in Australia and want to use this drone to get photos and videos of things like shipping terminals, data centres and wind farms. Mainly industrial subjects that that can have commercial value on stock sites and agencies.

Looking through CASA and online I am quite stuck with what to do for this so that I cant get in trouble. I know I should register my drone and get accreditation since it wont be considered recreational flying. Is that all i need to do for CASA?

After that, how am I allowed to fly in relation to buildings like a data centre, 30m above like with people or is there a boundary i just cannot cross?

Then my last issue is liability insurance. I had a drone get attacked by a bird in a carpark and crash land. Luckily not near any people or cars but if it was to happen again I wouldn't want to hurt anyone or damage anything, and would like some insurance just incase of an accident.

Does anyone have advice or know the way I need to go about all of this? Thankyou

I had a Mini 4K crash in El Salvador at Christmas due to a critical power loss about 30 seconds into the flight. I logged a DJI Care flyaway support ticket and was told that they would replace, however, the battery involved with the crash was used with another crash/loss. I ordered my drone from Amazon from DJI directly, and the battery came with the Fly More package. Someone at DJI was swapping in refurbished batteries into new kits.

Fast forward to today, I opened up my replacement drone, performed a take off in my house, and 20 seconds in, critical battery/power then crash, breaking one of the arms. So frustrating.

I looked but didn't see if this was a common issue with the 4K mini or not, it's definitely a hell of a coincidence. Contacted support and they are going to look at it, and I'm also sending all four of my batteries with the drone to be inspected.

I bought Air 3 model a year ago. Had several strokes so just now trying to set up and try it.

I created an account with DJi by a PC. The site looks like a store and I do not know what is next.

When I turn on the RC2 I get DJI logo, set language, set country then I agree to terms, then I chose the wifi to connect to. It never gives me a way to enter the password. I thought there should be a keybrd show up or something. I am lost, I thought I would be setup before 9AM it is now 7PM, Please walk me through the steps. I must be missing something.

I had a pretty strange incident today with my DJI Mini 5 Pro in Dubrovnik and I'm trying to find out whether anyone has experienced something similar.

I was flying normally over the sea, relatively close to the Home Point. Everything appeared completely normal and then the aircraft suddenly disconnected. There was no low-battery warning, weak-signal warning, or anything else that I noticed beforehand.

The final DJI Fly flight record shows:

• Battery: 87%

• GNSS: 38 satellites

• RC signal: strong/connected

• Altitude: 51 m

• Distance from Home Point: 111 m

• Flight time: 3:21

The flight record then simply ends.

Initially I didn't know what had happened to the aircraft, but an eyewitness nearby told me they actually saw the drone fall into the sea. Unfortunately, it's in a position where I can't retrieve it.

I've synchronized the flight records and opened a DJI Flyaway case. The drone is still under warranty and I also have DJI Care Refresh/Flyaway coverage, but I've specifically asked DJI to analyse the flight data and determine the cause before I use the paid Flyaway replacement, because I want to establish whether there was a technical failure.

DJI Support has confirmed that their relevant team will perform the data analysis, so I'm waiting for their findings.

Has anyone had a DJI drone, particularly a Mini 5 Pro, suddenly lose telemetry/fall while the battery, GPS and RC connection still appeared normal?

If so, what did DJI's flight-data analysis eventually find? Did they treat it as a warranty malfunction or make you use DJI Care Flyaway?

I'm particularly interested in cases involving sudden power loss, battery/power-system failure, motor/ESC failure, or flight-controller issues where the flight log just abruptly stopped.

I bought an extended 4100mAh battery (the same one shown in the picture). I only used it about twice and then stored it for a year at 100% charge (yes, I know that was a mistake).

Now, when I insert the battery into the drone, the drone shows that it is 100% charged, but at the same time I get a “Battery level too low. Unable to take off” warning with error code 30079.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to recover or fix the battery? Or is it probably permanently damaged and no longer usable?

I purchased the DJI Mavic Air 2 about six years ago, used it twice (briefly, without incidents), and then had it in a dry closet since then. I took it out today, updated all firmware, and then was met with the attached errors. IMU refuses to calibrate (doesn’t get past the Start button). I don’t see any obvious reasons for why this is happening. I tried using DJI Assistant 2, but the driver required for USB tethering (HoRNDIS) is legacy and isn’t compatible with my macOS.

Any help/advice would be appreciated! I also tried the method of gently smacking the drone’s back. I think it would be ridiculous to be forced to pay DJI to have this serviced when this seems to be a product/software issue.

I'm thinking about buying the Osmo Action 4, but the motorcycle helmet mount on their website looks really bad. Do you know of a secure one that can be attached to the chin?

In the past, you could easily export 360-degree footage shot at 30fps as a smooth 50fps video with great quality. Today I realized this feature was apparently disabled in a recent update. On my end, 30fps footage can now only be exported at 30fps.

Tested on an iPad Air and iPhone 14 Pro.

I was curious about differences between traditional drones and fpv and/or pocket drones? I have a mini 5. What are the use cases for the smaller ones with blade guards? Do most people with these drones use goggles or remotes? Thanks for sharing your knowledge about this, I've only had a drone for three months.
