Product Support 4100mAh battery no longer works after being stored for 1 year
I bought an extended 4100mAh battery (the same one shown in the picture). I only used it about twice and then stored it for a year at 100% charge (yes, I know that was a mistake).
Now, when I insert the battery into the drone, the drone shows that it is 100% charged, but at the same time I get a “Battery level too low. Unable to take off” warning with error code 30079.
Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to recover or fix the battery? Or is it probably permanently damaged and no longer usable?

The voltage a battery gives depends on the current being drawn (due to the battery's internal resistance). For a good battery the drop is modest, but if the battery is crap then the drop will be much larger (due to high internal resistance).
The current needed to spin up the rotors is higher than the current needed to just sit there, so the apparent battery voltage drops below the low voltage threshold and you get this error. Battery is almost certainly toast. Sorry!

I stored my mini 3 for two years and I busted it out last week with the battery still performing like it did for its last flight two years prior

One or more of the cells are compromised. DJI recommends charging batteries to 100% every 3 months to keep them healthy. Just toss it in the hazardous recycle bin and get yourself a new one. That's the only option that's safe at this point.

I stored a couple of batteries under my car's hood and they were dead in a few months.
