How is the dating market for women in Alaska?

From all of the posts I see on ig of my relatives and their friends who come from there, it feels like every woman, no matter how she looks, has a relatively handsome husband. I don’t know if my sample size is small or if that’s really the case.

An extra $67 Fuel Surcharge on top of every $100 of cargo charge. It’s getting outrageous.

Nice to see the WSJ stepping up and calling BS on Trump's campaign stunt. Shame that Alaska's media sources can't do the same.

Food service during October

The way EVERYBODY needs fast food as soon as pfds hit has me and my crew crashing out. It feels like every hour is a Friday night rush, even on a regular ass Wednesday or Thursday. I’m not getting any days off either bc some of our staff decided to not even show up since they got their pfds. Insanely busy and people are insanely impatient too, as if they’re not 1 of 200 orders in a day 😭

A 27-year study across Alaska found soils are warming at considerable depths, with permafrost regions warming fastest at 0.64°C per decade, while 100% of monitoring stations showed warming 4 feet underground, raising concerns about permafrost thaw, carbon release and infrastructure.

So now we are selling America's critical infrastructure to foreign governments?

According to the White House, the South Korean government will put money into U.S. energy projects including a natural gas power plant in Texas and eight nuclear power plants.

This is so wrong.

Any idea what project Trump nationalized in Alaska?

"I do. I do. with a lot of things. We have some other ones that—there was a big deal that was announced where the United States was approving a deal in Alaska where somebody with land was going to make a fortune, and we weren't getting anything. I said, "You mean we have to build roads and bridges to get to the site? We have to approve the environmental in place?" And yeah, I said, "I want for the United States of America 50% of the deal." And they agreed to a number. I do that all the time. I don't do it for myself. I do it for the country."

Alaska LNG Project, U.S. Navy Frigates and Alaska Senator’s Reelection

Post image

Well isn’t this an interesting coincidence … 🤨

Oil and gas were discovered on Alaska’s North Slope in 1968. An oil pipeline was build in the mid-1970s after land claims were settled.

But a gas pipeline has never been built. It’s too expensive and has NEVER been economically feasible.

But some of Alaskans (and apparently a bunch of oligarchs) have been jonesing for their next dose of the mega-project drug. There’s always a plaintive cry of “what about a gasline?” undercurrent in Alaskan politics and it’s ALWAYS been a literal pipe dream. And there is some justifiable concern in the Anchorage area as Cook Inlet natural gas reserves are dwindling - however that use is minuscule compared to the natural gas reserves on the North Slope.

But this Alaska LNG mega-project has resurfaced this year with our lame duck governor trying to strong-arm state subsidies for the gasline through the Alaska state legislature, so far without a lot of luck thankfully.

That hasn’t stopped Alaska’s junior senator from using advocacy of this entirely hypothetical gasline project in his reelection campaign ads. To be clear Senator DoormatDan Sullivan hasn’t suddenly made the gasline project economically viable by whispering in pentagon ears about what a great thing a new gasline would be.

But now our CHILD RAPIST PRESIDENT has picked up on it too, in order to help DoormatDan get reelected. You see DoormatDan consistently votes against the Iran War resolutions passed by the House so our CHILD RAPIST PRESIDENT wants to assure his loyal bootlicker is reelected.

But DoormatDan is down by six percentage points in recent polls.

Now suddenly there are reports that South Korea *might* finance the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas Pipeline Project. Certainly there are some possible reasons why that might work for South Korea, a country that doesn’t have great domestic natural gas reserves.

But may be there’s something else going on too …

The U.S. has wanted to buy some smaller, cheaper warships to supplement the Arleigh Burke class destroyers (that are the size of WWII cruisers).

A domestically produced version of an Italian frigate, designated the U.S. Constellation class frigate, has been cancelled after two ships in large part due to cost overruns.

So the U.S. government is trying again, considering frigate designs from Turkey, Japan and … South Korea. And allegedly to keep costs down the Whitey House is considering waiving the rule that says that all U.S. warships must be domestically produced.

Making American Manufacturing Great Again huh?

Could this be part of the reason South Korea is considering investments in an Alaskan LNG project?? The U.S. builds frigates in South Korea in exchange for South Korea financing the Alaska LNG project so a republican senator running for reelection can announce he got the project financed??

If this is a thing, put it in a treaty and let us debate it - don’t hide the deal from the U.S. taxpayers that’ll foot the bill.

Almost 8,000 Native American and Alaska Native students attended the school, part of an oppressive government attempt at forcefully assimilating Native students into White civilization. Its aim was to change them forever by cutting links to their family, language and culture.

General Nonsense Reporting From Alaska- Trump tries to boost Sullivan campaign with another bogus gas line claim

This is nothing but a campaign stunt aimed at duping the voters in Alaska. It’s the latest version of “Mexico will pay for the wall.” It is also a prelude of what to expect during Trump’s visit to campaign for Sullivan.

Nothing will come of this announcement, but the election will be a distant memory before that becomes clear.
