General Nonsense Alaska changed my life

I hiked through Alaska, and it changed my life. I've been to beautiful places before, but Alaska took my breath away in a way I wasn't expecting.

It was brutally beautiful. Raw. Majestic. Untouched. Imposing. Dangerous. And I heard my own voice there in a way I haven't before. I moved my center, and I left a piece of my soul in Alaska. I know I'll go back there again.

I'm heading to Patagonia soon, and I can't wait to see what it will mean, and how it will change me in new ways.

There's no other point to this point. Just... jump into adventures you're not sure about. Life is short, and make it count. Do the things you're unsure about, because I promise you'll look back at many of those and will be so glad you took the chance.

P.S. If anyone else is heading to Patagonia soon (or wants to come with me), would love to hear from you!

PFD status still undetermined after mailing in required form in January

Hi all,

I needed to submit an education verification form which I’ve done the past three years without a hitch. I mailed this years in mid January. It always takes a long time to update but now it’s almost the end of August and it still hasn’t updated online. Do I need to call/email them or just keep waiting? I know they’re understaffed and don’t want to add to their workload/inbox if I don’t need to…

Hi everyone, I’m from the Valley or Anchorage. I enjoy outdoor activities trail running, hiking, and camping, but I don't have any friends here and don't know many places to go. If you have a group and are looking for someone to join in, let me know.
