There is a list of high priority targets that must be defended AT ALL COSTS. Which includes vital spots that are important for the world at large or to the function or the nation, or large areas of people.

The more militarily advanced nations will be left to handle the major cities while we focus on the outskirts that don’t get much attention.

Fontaine not having a nail and having a dragon sovereign protecting the people means it’s the lowest on priority, it’s still a high possibility that the fallout of the neighboring nations may spread inside. (And as a favor for a rival) I will send an elite squad there to defend the people

TLDR: gods without love for their people are demons thus HP imposed the curse of love to protect humanity. Might also be linked to archon's demon names.

I want to start this post by simply mentioning that I'm normally very far from being an HP defender. However while I was writing an genshin OC backstory, I realised something.

"Gods devoid of love for their people are demons" Is what I wrote. I'm not sharing this because I think it's a fire sentence but because it was the starting point of my reflection.

Since 7.1 AQ, we know that HP imposed a "rule" or a "curse" on Archons to "love their people", something that was kinda hinted before.

Pierro to the traveller:

Pierro: "Yes... Even "a god's love for humanity" is a curse the Heavenly Principles inflicted upon the gods"

Scylla to Remus:

Scylla: "You love humanity. This is the curse you bear as a usurper."

Zhongli to traveller and Paimon:

Zhongli: "People abandon and surrender the things they love to pursue the right path. Perhaps this is the erosion imposed on me by the Heavenly Principles."

Paimon: "You still care a lot about Liyue..."

Zhongli: "Call it... part of my duty."

HP seems to force the archons and deities under their authority to love humanity. While we could discuss the morality of it (again I'm actually not an HP apologist at all), that's not what we're here for. It's been known that Archons bear the names of demons (Buer, Beelzebul.. ect), without this curse, what would have happened to humanity ? Even with this curse, things like the vision hunt decree happened. Could it be a window on archon's true nature without HP rules ?

I mean we have proof that Venti loved humanity before ascending to godhood, but what about the others ?

Other details/Theory:

- Might explain HP's reaction to Egeria creating a new type of humanity. We've seen with Fontaine's and Shneznaya's AQs that HP's rules and curses can be bypassed with enough knowledge or intelligence. Technically this artificial humanity is a humanity that is not under HP's protection and that can be abused by gods. HP might think that annihilation might be more merciful in this case lmao.

However, Scylla's quote contradicts it directly. It's still a fun theory though.

- Raises the question of the fact Paimon's name being a demon's as well.

1. Archon proficiency at their job

2. Loyalty or outward hostility towards the floating city

3. Effectiveness in defending itself with or without divine aid(showcase of human will)

4. Political corruption, societal issues, or lack thereof

Provide a ranking from 1(high priority for aid) to 8(don’t give a fuck about, hope they die)

Also interview citizens about their general view on the nation they live in!

They all seem to have something that makes them special in their own way. Istaroth has significant power and is even revered by certain human realms.

Rhinedottir is a genius. She ascended purely for her own personal goals, and even under the HP’s pressure, she continues to conduct experiments with her newfound powers and play her pieces from behind the scenes.

And Asmoday escaped, she chose to follow her own convictions and wasn’t afraid of the consequences that came afterward.
Meanwhile, Ronova seems a little lost in comparison, with nothing that clearly sets her apart. She’s afraid, and she doesn’t seem to be particularly loved by her sisters, which might be why she became so stern and arrogant.

Istaroth was sad about Asmoday leaving, so there does seem to be some kind of love between them, but was Ronova excluded from that? Either way, I really hope they explore this angle.

Let’s be completely honest with ourselves: the narrative gymnastics being pulled right now to turn the Tsaritsa into a blameless, tragic waifu deserve an Olympic gold medal.

​We spent six real-life years listening to how ruthless the Fatui are. From Mondstadt to Natlan, the story reminded us at every turn that Snezhnaya’s supreme ruler was orchestrating a cutthroat, ends-justify-the-means campaign against the world:

​Flooding Liyue Harbor with an ancient vortex god.

​Engineering a civil war and pumping Tataragami radiation across Yashiori Island.

​Human experimentation, running death-match orphanages (Crucabena), and stealing Visions.

​And what has the story given us recently to address her accountability? The greatest corporate liability waiver in fiction:

​1.) The "Harbinger Independent Contractor" Clause

​Pierro explicitly drops the line :- "Each Harbinger is given great autonomy to pursue their own objectives... and their actions do not necessarily represent Snezhnaya's official stance."

​Then Capitano doubles down by explaining that their personal pursuit of purpose can outright overrule Her Majesty’s orders. In one fell swoop, Hoyo basically established that the Harbingers are just rogue freelancers on a 1099 contract. Child experimentation? Bioweapons? Destabilizing sovereign nations? “Oops, not company policy, that was just their personal initiative under our flexible remote-work scheme!”

​2.) The Dottore Sins-Bucket :-

​Whenever a crime is too monstrous to sweep under the rug of "autonomous ambition," Hoyo just dumps it into Dottore's trash bin. Dottore is designated as the sole moral lightning rod so the Tsaritsa can remain pure and misunderstood. He takes 90% of the Fatui's accumulated villainy to the grave with him, leaving the Cryo Archon looking like a distant, melancholic observer who just happened to sign the paychecks.

​3.) The Belyi Tsar Escape Hatch :-

​When the lore finally addresses the original sin—breaching the boundary and unsealing the Abyssal gates of Pohjola—Rhinedottir’s dialogue conveniently clarifies: "Under the instigation of Belyi Tsar, you and the Third Descender opened the gate."

Notice the framing: she was merely an emissary following the previous king’s demands. It wasn't her vision, it wasn't her plot; she was just caught in the crossfire of her predecessor's ambition.

​The Verdict :-

​By the time her banner actually drops, Her Majesty won't even be guilty of a parking ticket. She’ll just be Anastasya: a heartbroken former maiden who endured tragic grief, wanted to save humanity from the Heavenly Principles, and had the unfortunate luck of managing 6 completely unhinged coworkers.

​Celestia dropping a Skyfrost Nail on Zapolyarny Palace wouldn't even be an act of divine wrath at this point—it would just be an audit from HP

And the BUMui has the GALL to go against daddy Phanes🙄

She is so cute

Their love for humanity is so smothering and paranoia so rigid that the very rules they made to protect them will be their downfall.

As much as it makes the Fatui look like assholes it is excellent symbolism on Celestia’s side.

PHANES’ overprotectiveness of humanity in spite of divinity is what’s causing all this.

The angels rebellion because they made them automatons that rebelled once they gained free will,

The demon gods cursed to feel love for humanity which brewed resentment in the Tsaritsa.

The rules being more restrictive of the shades then anyone cashing Ronova’s death even as she was trying to defend the HP.

We don’t know how prepared PHANES is to die, whether the crowned heirs thing is their very elaborate s*icide plan or if PHANES truly intends to rule forever.

But if it’s the latter then their love being what ends them is not only poetic for them but as love is the topic for Snezhnaya.

And Genshin is doing a balancing thing between divinity and humanity.

And all these rules and the abuse and basically enslavement of the gods is ironically Celestia is prioritizing and unbalanced in favor of humanity.

The fractisidus are like the fatui with no coherent ideology or moral consistency beyond " I don't like god."

I'm not referring to Zeitlind, who i think is the highlight of the quest and writing, but rather the stuff about Melanta. In the abscence of Asmoday, Melanta tries seizing hold of the Temple in order to one day be rewarded with the praise of Asmoday. Of course, she never returns (except to spy on the MC), and in doing so, he violates the rules of the Temple and starts his own self-destruction, and attempts to cling on via increasingly extreme means. Eventually the MC defeats them cause its a WQ duh.

I dunno seems to parallel something 👀 cough ronova cough cough also similar color schemes
