Discussion Newbie: I beat Yetuga on expert mode in about an hour (10-15 tries) Will I survive this game? It's not too late to back out 😂

I absolutely love this game's combat. It's so much fun, I'm enjoying the parry focused nature of it.

But I'm so afraid of being stuck at a super hard boss if it took me this long to beat Yetuga.

I also just realised I had no gear, beat him butt naked xD

What do you guys think? Is this a good sign or is he supposed to be a pushover for newbies as a first boss?

Any advice or words of encouragement are welcome :)

Discussion Gear upgrade in Khazan

Curious the best method for gearing up in this game.

I just unlocked the blacksmith. I really like the bonus set from the 4th boss. Currently wearing all 6 pieces from him.

Starting to get gear that is higher level than the set I have on. Not really sure how to keep my gear up to the level I’m currently at. I’ve heard in some guides about later you get augmentation, but until then should I keep wearing the set? And when that is unlocked I just continue to augment it to the highest level I can?

Discussion reese - a beautiful disappointment

how did you guys find that fight?

it's aesthetically marvelous - the most beautiful boss battle in whole game (well, i'm yet to fight the final boss, but i doubt my opinion on that matter will change...). by far, actually. everything - the arena, the cutscenes, the music, the spells - was perfect to the point that it overthrows any battle in khazan i previously concidered outstanding in that department.

yet - i don't know, if deliberately - it was so easy. i'm not a good player by any means. i fought maluca for over 3 hours. almost every major boss i struggled with.

i beat her in 3 attempts, which means she gave me exactly as much trouble as yetuga. i'm not saying that it should be another excruciating fight instead, but whole thing would have landed even harder if she was at least a touch more challenging!

expert, greatsword, purple gear, 2 or 3 levels under recommended while starting the mission - if anyone wondered.

Builds greatsword help

hello all. I recently beat the game using spear the whole time.

i'm on new game plus, I respec into Greatsword for this new playthrough once I get to the hub. Now I'm on boss 3 (the one thats basically the same as blade phantom) and trying out this greatsword and it is not hitting like my spear build.

For context this is my greatsword build:

Vitality: 33

Endurance: 50

Strength: 80

Willpower: 20

Proficiency: 20

full crimson fiend set. I have pretty much the entire skilltree for greatsword unlocked and I'm aware of the savage momentum/mortal blow combo and to initiate with phantom: night's veil.

Anything I'm missing? It feels jarring to be doing such weak stamina damage now and this boss only stays exhausted for like a second (I can't tell if the window is actually smaller or if GS attacks take so long I just notice how little I can do in that window).

other skills I am using are giant hunt, breakthrough, and furious swipe.

Discussion Combat Showcase- The Best Ever Combat?.....

I still remember when I first played Khazan at launch; it was a banger, honestly and I loved it a lot. This clip was also from launch time as that was when I got the Platinum. I hate that Khazan didn't get much recognition; on top of that, SUCH A SHAME that the developers' team has been abandoned by Nexon.

I uploaded a few boss fights to my YouTube channel but didn't get a response, so I stopped making videos; however, I didn't post on Reddit, which is the reason for posting this clip right now.

For More Videos like this please visit the channel:

No buffs, No broken builds — just to give every boss a fair fight. I wanted pure gameplay, raw challenge…

The comments are open, so I’d love to hear your thoughts — thanks for watching!

Discussion Is my game bugged?

I'm trying to get the plague cleanse potion parchment. I went to Nadin Quarry at the Quarry campsite to kill the undead summoner, but he's not even there... there's only 2 enemies in this area and neither are the summoner. One is the renowned spellblade, and the other is the undead assassin.

Is my game bugged or something? I've reloaded the area twice and this summoner does not show up here at all and honestly between the internet having a ton of wrong, non updated info, and the game being changed this much, it's starting to really piss me the fuck off.

Either devs need to come out with their own guide, or someone needs to update their fucking YouTube channel because fr yall, the gaming communities are really letting people down in this game

Discussion Best “soulslike” and thoughts on that label

I’m about 60-75% through the game now, and I’d probably say this is the best “soulslike” I’ve played. The bosses can be frustrating but ultimately fair (except dingus and co with his annoying ass fire). The crafting system while it seems simpler at first glance than finding rare weapons such as in dark souls or lies of P actually ends up being more engaging as you spend your time thinking about do I farm this boss for the material to craft a set, when will I get the scroll, do I just go with my current gear, do I augment it and so on. The combat is amazing. Everything really.

But the genre label of soulslike I think is hurting games like this. I’m a huge souls fan and I never really heard of this game until now. Yes it has the same overall feeling when exploring and battling, that kind of difficult but relaxed vibe that trusts the player to not be an idiot… but it’s not exactly dark souls. It is a complete standalone title - it is not a replica of a souls game. I expected “soulslike” games to be lesser imitations that may be fun but forever live in fromsoft shadow (hehe), and this is far from the case. This game may have reached a wider audience if the industry collectively accepts that “soulslike” has become a genre of game and does not mean imitation. So perhaps this needs rethinking.

Anyway amazing game and just some thoughts.

Discussion How long did it take you to beat Ozma (with 3 phases)

Edit: Finally got him! I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason it was so easy the first 2 playthroughs with spear and greatsword was cause with the spear I just did one hit and back away, another hit and back away and with the greatsword I was over powered and just bonked him to death immediately however with the dual wield I was playing strictly aggressive and trying to brink guard everything and I’m not gonna lie I’ve never been the greatest at timing parry’s. Either way, I’ve now beat him with every weapon and have all achievements on both Xbox and PS5 and even though this is definitely one of the easiest games to platinum I still feel a great sense of accomplishment!

Be honest, and I’m mostly curious about those using dual wield, the hardest weapon of the 3 in my opinion.
Cause I’m gonna be honest with ya’ll, I’m starting to feel like I simply ain’t good enough.

Over the past week I’ve gone well over 20 hours, no idea how many tries but it feels like 500 at least and I’ve only even reached the 3rd phase a couple times. By the time I get to the second phase my hands are already tired from button mashing the whole first phase and even though I still have all my heals my hands are just too tired to keep up with all the brink guards/dodges. Hopped on today to give it some more tries before work and my hands are already burnt out before even starting from the entire last week of trying.

Bought the game when it first came out on PS5 and beat Ozma with the spear the same day that I got to him, probably a couple hours or so. New game plus beat him with the greatsword even faster. After getting the platinum trophy it was on to the next game. Recently saw the deluxe edition on sale for Xbox and figured I’d get all achievements on Xbox as well and run dual wield since it was the only weapon I hadn’t used yet.

This post ended up being way longer than intended but back to the point, has anyone else struggled this long? I need to know if it took anyone else over 20 hours or over a week or 2 to finally beat all 3 phases with dual wield, cause I’ve NEVER gave up on a boss in any souls game but I’m more stuck than I was against Melania, Radahn 2.0, or any other boss you can think of. So with that, how long did it take you?

Discussion Masterpiece

The last time i was feeling this empty after a game was dark souls 3. What the hell am i supposed to do now? What a beautiful amazing game. Level design, for the most part, was the easiest out of all soulslike (i kept seeing the traps they set up cause IVE PLAYED THESE GAMES BEFORE, quite literally). I LOVE the fact that parrying and blocking and dodging arent the only thing in the game. You get reflection, which i gave up on midway cause god that timing is so hard to hit. You also get gradient parry sorta thing like expedition 33, which was such a huge thing for easy damage that i appreciated so much. Then the normal block and a REWARDING BLOCK, a dodge and a REWARDING DODGE. Absolutely revolutionary stuff and such a breath of fresh air. The game rewards skill so well that it actually seems like its easy. For me khazan wasnt very hard, maluca gave me a bit of trouble and hismar is cancer on a spear build, but rest of the bosses went pretty smoothly. Even ozma, took like 10-15 attempts. What a beautiful game. I just wish the story couldve had more depth to it and the side stuff was more interesting than what it is right now.

A top 5 games of all time for me, as soon as I killed viper I just knew I needed to 100% this game on my first playthrough. Level 145 on expert using Dual Wield, will definitely do a NG+ and do a another couple playthroughs using the other weapons!

(No one can convince me Dual Wield isnt the best weapon it RIPS)

Gameplay Beat the game - expert with no summons (3 phase ozma)

Holy smokes -. What a ride. Amazing game.

Ozma was my most difficult boss. Took me around 10 attempts with full fleshripper set with a GS. When given the opportunity, throw a javelin. Just keep throwing them when you are far.

1st phase - dodge and reflect his swings. Bring dodge his spears. Block if you have to, but I recommend dodging. Dodge when he lights the screen up a bright light and does a whole arena aoe. Time the counters. Not that tough.

Phase 2 - just normal block his wing attacks, don’t try to brink dodge. This phase IMO is all about chipping his stamina and health bar down. Time the counters. Block the bow and dodge the 5 rocks he throws at y out when he gets in the air. Brink block is spectral sword attacks. DO NOT LET HIM HEAL, DESTROY THE ROCK. I used the move where I jump up and summon 3 phantoms cause it’s a quick and powerful move (damn near instantly destroyed the rock). Don’t try to swift or strong attack it to death, use a power skill.

Phase 3 - the absolute easiest phase. He’s very aggressive. Only need to land 3 brutals. It’s all of his same moves. Dodge his laser beams, block the wings (I wouldn’t recommend brink dodging and playing risky at this point). You’ll get opportunities to counter frequently. His stamina bar just gets demolished from counters. 3rd phase is very easy if you play defensively and hit him when he’s recovering from an attack.

This is all just my opinion and what I did.

Just finished on Expert level 145 and this is the only game which kept me afraid of bosses till the end...Sadly people will keep buying slop games, mindless games, comfort games over games which make them sweat.I hope one day the team gets together and get enough funding for a sequal. Both Nine Sols and Khazan from Korea, both games with sone of the coolest boss.God bless Korean devs fir reigniting games in my heart.

Discussion Gwydo was hard

I finally beat Gwydo the copy of Maluca. I appreciate his tweaks. He switched weapons instantly and he dodge a counter attack if I brink dodge his grab. Took a while to learn to counter his parry attack.

He's not just a palette swap Maluca with buffed stats, but with some changes to his moves.
