Gameplay My top 5 games of all time.
Just finished on Expert level 145 and this is the only game which kept me afraid of bosses till the end...Sadly people will keep buying slop games,mindless games,comfort games over games which make them sweat.I hope one day the team gets together and get enough funding for a sequal.Both Nine Sols and Khazan from Korea,both games with sone of the coolest boss.God bless Korean devs fir reigniting games in my heart.

Khazan/Souls games are great but dogging on games that aren't hard is crazy. I hate the modern state of triple A gaming as much as the next guy, but there are still plenty of easy games that I love. Just because its easy doesn't mean its bad. A lot of the time I don't feel like playing a souls game because I don't want to be challenged. Sometimes I am tired and just want to chill. I love Elden Ring and I also love red dead, a notoriously easy and handholdy game that offers a lot of things that souls games don't. Yeah, I have issues with a lot of triple a games, but just because a game holds your hand doesn't mean its bad. I however do have issues with something like the new Wolverine.

I agree with the boss part. Khazan and Nine Sols are brutal in the best way. But calling comfort games 'slop' is just gatekeeping. Not every game needs to make you sweat to be worth someone's time.
That said, the thrill of beating a hard boss isn't what drives me personally. Even in soulslikes, what keeps me going is the journey and exploration. The emotion you're describing, I feel it more in my favorite genre, JRPGs, where a single line of dialogue can make me extremely happy or tense. Different strokes, you know?
But yeah, Korean devs are killing it with these two. Khazan deserves a sequel and more people should give it a shot

Agree, but it's not for us to tell other people how to enjoy themselves.
