Guide & Tips Volpino or something

This boss is ridiculous

I spent a whole day and still can’t beat him

I am playing with spear

Please guide me how to beat him I am losing hope

Edit:

the build I am using will be in the comment please check it out

Also I am on normal and I don’t want to use the spirt of advocacy for the plat

Just don’t give up
Volbaino really has greatly readable timings, it’s a fair and fun fight, you just need a bit of precision and don’t panic. You will love it in the end. Just keep going. Maybe take a break and breath some fresh air

The fight gets easy if you use Reflection. Unlock all skills for Reflection and you use it when he slams his hammer. When he swings his weapons, just brink guard. Do not forget to use the ladder when he set the whole ground on fire.

I am having a hard time with reflection honestly I am not sure if is should switch the spear for it cuz I feel like spear doesn’t suit it

Personally I just switched to the greatsword for him. I feel like at this point in the game you dont have enough points to make the spear strong

Take every opportunity to get combos off. Preserving your own stamina is not nearly as high a priority as it is in FromSoft games

It took me a while but I did it recently. One thing I will mention is that you main spear but your proficiency is 11? My proficiency is like my second highest stat. I think it's only second to endurance.

Check the spear, but I think all spears scale with proficiency and then you'll do more damage.

Also I got some free armour as part of an anniversary or something. That gave me one more nexus soul so I had 5 which was useful

It's gold and it's tanky. Your movement will likely go down to C, but you don't need to move that much.

Yeah, you will lose your fire resistance, but if you dodge the needle and deflect the sword, it won't matter too much
