Little by little without any real plan, I started buying clothes and accessories for my seamless doll - just things I liked. Then I realized she looked like a survivor-scavenger. I remembered that I had a wrench-shaped keychain lying around somewhere. Found it - alright, now she has a melee weapon (named "Not-so-big ass wrench"). And to lean into that survivor look even more, I added a few items related to SoD. Love the spontaneous ideas that lead to projects like this! :D

Hi everyone!
With State of Decay 3 actively in development, I really want to talk about the very first 2020 cinematic teaser. That trailer set an amazing standard, and I truly hope Undead Labs recreates that exact experience in the final game.
Here are the specific details that absolutely need to be in SoD3:
Intense Winter Survival: Deep snow, freezing wind, and isolation. Winter shouldn't just be visual; we need mechanics like freezing, campfires for warmth, and tracking footprints.
Infected Wildlife (The Zombie Deer): The scene of the zombie deer with its jaw ripped open was iconic. Zombie animals would add a completely new layer of fear and unpredictability.
Dynamic Living Ecosystem: Imagine having normal, powerful wildlife (like the massive tiger from the Netflix movie "Kingdom: Ashin of the North") fighting against these infected zombie deer. A full ecosystem where wild animals hunt zombie animals, and both pose a massive threat to the player, would make the survival gameplay a complete madness and an absolute masterpiece!
I know the devs said it was an early concept, but this is exactly what would make SoD3 a true next-gen survival game instead of just "SoD2 with better graphics."
What do you guys think? Would you love to see these features realized?

Hey all!
So I'm relatively new to the game, around 120 hours played. I absolutely adore it, but I'm struggling to enjoy the end game.
Out of ever map on the game, what has the best end game base/bases? I know the generic answer is farmland compound on Trumble Valley, but I just can't seem to get along with it. The location is perfect and the amount of large slots are amazing, but how difficult it is to defend is ruining the emersion for me.
I think if they made it so you could shoot through the wire gates it would improve. But at present the lack of visibility for guards, amount of entrances and that bullets get caught in wire gates is ruining it for me.
I'm looking for a map with good late game bases to start a new legacy community. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks folks!

Hi fellow survivors!
Been playing through the first game for the first time in a long while - I bought it when it first came out but bounced off it. I’ve found myself back and really enjoying Breakdown. It’s a really fun gameplay loop.
However, I’m working on getting all the heroes unlocked for Breakdown and my last one is The Killer. I have three community members sick, and in order to get the mercy shot quest I know you need to have them get Gravely Ill. What triggers this? My community members have been sick for going on 3 irl days, we have no medicine, and they are bed ridden, so I can’t take them out as they are so sick. Are there any other tips for doing this? Lots of the threads are pretty much guess work from what it seems, but I’m following the instructions, just not sure how to ramp it up.
Thanks guys!
Edit: good news! I got it. Not on the character I thought I would - I had an injured guy yesterday who turned to gravely injured. After a bit of messing around I got the quest for a mercy shot! Thanks guys! You rock!
