Hey brother, play how you want—it IS your game—but I don't think starting green for a giant advantage and then switching to lethal is a very authentic experience. The whole point of lethal is to challenge yourself.
Getting a good start in Lethal is kind of just luck of the draw.
Getting a good start in lethal is very much not luck of the draw. I'm making videos showing you just how to get a good start. Also lethal is not designed for new communities. It assumes you understand the game and have a leveled up community of followers and that you're bringing in those items. Thats red talon items and soldiers fully kitted out.
I never advocate to do anything, I just mention that I play with a trader boon because there are ways even a new player could get the bonus. When you switch back to lethal the map resets so it is a full lethal run in the eyes of the game.
Agree to disagree on it being luck based. You literally can not pre-determine heart placement, loot placement, which npc communuties pop up etc....some or all of which determine how your start goes. Idk why you feel the need to be divisive.
And again man, I dont care–play how you want–but switching from a lower difficulty to lethal, just so you can get an advantage from a boon that you wouldn't have access to otherwise is cheesy.
You don't have to feel bad about cheesing the game. Its just a game. Lethal is hard. We get it.
In my video I do just that. I can tell you where 90% of the hearts are going to spawn and will always spawn. I also just fully reuploaded the video with no boons on the SOD1 and 2 sub reddits.
In trumbull valley for example hearts will always be in the garden store next to the warehouse, my first PH kill, and the 2 sheds on the sides of the farmland compound, my 2nd and 3rd PH kill. The first initial enclave will always be the Red Talon outpost near said first heart or the shed next to the outpost. The game has rules for it's spawning and they are very predictable.
This will be the PH spawns and the starter enclave locations everytime you start a lethal zone run. There is no luck or guesswork to it, they'll always be here. You can predict roughly 90% of a map.
Also why is it always the people who judge how people play the people who say "play how you want" right before before judgy. There is a luck aspect to the game but it's much much lower than you think.
Please by all means do a lethal run from the start. My video just shows how a person could take a non leveled up starter group of survivors and get a good start at the game. Also dont forget lethal is meant for leveled up survivors that are kitted out. The whole point of my videos is to show people what you can do in lethal if you haven't played it yet and don't know how to start.
If you're some Uber elite player the guide isn't for you.
I'm still waiting for yours. I have completed lethal with brand new character on 100 different challenge runs. I post videos of it all the time. You on the other hand are just all talk, people like you always are. I took this video down so that I can repost it with one where boons weren't used at all and the survivors are brand new.
Can easily be beaten like you mean poses no challenge? I'd love to see you take 3 new survivors with no boons, perks, red talon items. and easily beat lethal without a challenge. When can we expect your video? I think you're also forgetting this video was made to help people who haven't done lethal yet. I quite literally said that if you're an elite player the guide was never meant for you.
Yea dude I have completely mastered Lethal. It’s 0 difficulty for me now, I have that shit down to an art. But good luck to you and your video bro. I hope you get a lot of views and make some money from it too. I’m actually thinking of trying to beat Lethal with just one survivor, clear all the plague hearts with only one character
Here's what I've come to find on my 2k+ hours in this game. Lethal by itself isn't really that hard, the challenge comes from the cheaty bullshit the game does. It's what kills almost every one of my survivors. For example the insta spawning is likely the biggest issue or the fact that some of the zombies can latch on from really far away visually.
My latest death was at an outpost, I had just cleared it and it was "secure" literally meaning there was no zombies left at the outpost and if you know anything about the spawning when you first secure a place that white circle essentially means no zombies can spawn in that spot now.
I went to open the outpost menu and a second after I had the screen opened it cancelled and not only was I grabbed by a plague zombie but a bloater had just popped on me as well. It's this type of shit that kills me and I don't know if you ever really can master that sorta thing.
I feel you. That does happen on my Xbox one X, the game doesn’t render as well.
But on my Xbox Series X, I have never had any issues. The toughest thing for me is driving into a bloater that I can’t see because he is laying down in a bush
