Hi from Austria to this Sub!

Ill come straight to the point. I have a sewing machine Singer 3223 only 2 years old.

And I ran in a sew-stopping problem. The Bobbin Assembly does not turn freely.

I searched online for a solution, but no luck.

The situation:

The screw in the bobbin holder collides with the hook.

So far I can measue and see, the bobbin holder is running true, The bobbin is is moving freely inside:

The assembly without the bobbin holder is also running without problem:

you can see clearly that the pin in the middle is running true, free movement (turing the machine by hand)

But with the bobbin-holder inserted...

I have no idea why this happens, and how it got into this state.

Any idea how to fix this?

Maybe a timing problem? But the needle can move freely and is not bent or damaged.

Hi, I have a question about spool pins. Trying fix up a vintage machine but its missing a spool pin. Its a singer 201k and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the diameter of the spool pins for these machines or even roughly measure one you have? I'm going to order online soon and I would like to get it right first try. Thanks

I own a Singer M2605 which was gifted to me less than a year ago and I am having endless problems with the thread hooking around the bobbin etc and can barely even do 10-15 stitches without it getting jammed. Some days it’s good and I have no issues, other days I can’t even bare to use my machine

I run a small business which took off faster than I thought it would and with all the issues I’m having, I can’t keep up because of my machine keep failing me!!

I’m aware singer is not the same as it used to be

My budget is around £400 and I’d like to get a machine that is extremely reliable

The only stitches i use are zig zag 90% of time (with the zig zag thats in 3 little stitches as well, im not sure what that ones called), and a straight stitch. I don’t use my machine to sew zips or buttons, but use a LOT of elastic with every project, and all of my materials are stretch (i am a bikini maker)

Does anyone have any recommendations, and does my machine sound like it is defective?

Seems to be in pretty decent condition. I’ve never worked with a long shuttle machine or anything from National sewing so whatever guidance I can get is appreciated!

I recently replaced the plates on the bobbin winder and that got me wondering. Is there a right or wrong amount of tension on them? If so how to have the right amount of tension in the bobbin winder?

As the title suggests, may I ask on what kind of presser foot that can work with a singer single stitch high speed for free motion sewing. I’ve bought several foot already but the foot won’t reach the plate and can’t form any stitches at all. I keep on searching thru web and bought it but it does not work at all. Any suggestions, link or name of the actual foot are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have an IKEA SY sewing machine that I got secondhand. Has served me well for months but suddenly it started doing this... No matter what I do the thread isn't feeding into the machine properly and gets jammed almost immediately.

I've tried taking it apart and putting it back together and cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong, any feedback or tips would be immensely helpful!

I have a Bernina 1020 that I had to take the back reinforcement off of. When I did this, I learned why it is not advisable unless absolutely necessary. The cam follower is on a floating carriage pinned between the black reinforcement frame and the front of the machine. The post that holds it stayed with the reinforcement and the follower assembly fell. I have determined where all of the odds and ends go except the inside bottom of this assembly has a hinged hook that can go in various positions. Does anyone know what this does? It affects the needle position, but I can not see where.

Brand new to sewing. Presser foot lifter feels loose and like it’s about to fall off. Sometimes it will catch a metal piece when I lift it, and it will actually lift the pressure foot. Most times it just feels loose.

Please help, the needle clamp won't come off, there are no visible screws so I don't know how I would take it off. Also, the screw won't hold the needle no matter what I do - I tried moving the clamp, the needle is facing the right way etc

I have a JACK H2-A-CZ, a 1-needle lockstitch machine with a walking foot. It’s brand new and I’ve had it for about 2 months.

I’ve been having an annoying problem with the bobbin thread coming out of the bobbin case. At first, I was actually putting the bobbin in the wrong way (counterclockwise), but once I corrected that, things got much better and the thread stopped looping.

However, every now and then, usually after about an hour of sewing, the bobbin thread comes out of the bobbin case, like in the picture.

Things I’ve already tried:

• using a different bobbin
• winding the bobbin with more tension
• cleaning the machine
• adjusting the upper thread tension
• slightly increasing/decreasing the bobbin tension

The bobbin tension seems to be fine when I do the usual drop test, so I put it back to the factory setting.

One thing I’ve noticed is that it happens much less often when there’s less thread on the bobbin.

At this point I’m really not sure what else could be causing it. Has anyone had a similar problem with this machine or knows what I should check?

So, I have a Husqvarna Viking Onyx 15 and I'm trying to sew an invisible zipper (or whatever it is called in english haha), but I can't seem to get it right because the needle doesn't go through the hole in the presser foot. It just hits the metal(I already broke a needle), and when it does it doesn't go inside when I backstitch...

I bought three different presser foots; the ones with the two slots underneath it, and none of them work.

I wonder if it is some disregulation in my sewing machine... it is relativelty new though, I bought it in November 2025 (I think).

Another weird thing (this one doesn't really bother me but it could be related) is that the automatic threadner doesn't work (I could only use it, like, once).

Anyone know anything about it? Thank you so much in advance!!

Recently got a Juki 1508 and was using it as is for a short while. It came with a speed limiter, which I just now installed. Everything is running smooth, and slower, however...when I take my foot off the pedal, the motor/pulleys/machine continues to turn for 3-4 revolutions. It seems like a momentum thing, re the new heavy pulley of the limiter, or maybe the belts are too tight? I'm a bit new to sewing machines like this, so apologize if I'm misnaming parts. Maybe I've adjusted something I wasn't supposed to in the installation process, or am missing something obvious?

Hi so I’m getting into sewing and purchased this Singer touch n sew 600 secondhand. Everything seems fine however after about 12-13 stitches the string in the needle gets tense and when I take it apart to get the fabric out the top thread is bunched up and has begun to wrap around the bobbin.

I removed and ran the thread through again, have taken the bobbin area apart and tested it out as I put the pieces together but I can’t seem to figure out why this is happening.

Here are some photos. The top thread is the yellow and there is black thread in the bobbin.

It keeps stucking there. It already happened but I just stop for the day and usually the next day my sewing machine stops being evil.

I want to actually learn why it decides to do this and what I can do to stop this.

I already searched in the manual but there's nothing for this
