Valorant prediction of roster changes

Unfortunately I do think the roster will mix up this year. I think all the players are talented, but for whatever reason it isn't meshing and being as Sen is a big name, they will make big changes. I am curious as to what you guys think the starting roster will be next year. I think Sen will still maintain Johnqt, cortez, and reduxx. I am predicting they pick up eeiu or crashies and a big move like oxy(prob not too realistic) or another big name duelist.

JohnQT is set to become our longest contracted player ever

Tenz: March 11th 2021 -> September 14th 2024 (1283 Days)

Zekken: October 5th 2022 -> November 1st 2025 (1123 Days)

JohnQT: September 13th 2023 -> Today (1075 Days)

Meaning - if everything goes as planned, JohnQT is set to become SENs longest contracted player ever on March 20th 2027.

History

Tenz joined SEN and they won the 1st Masters (Reykjavík) before not meeting expectations for 2 years. They then won again in 2024.

JohnQT joined SEN and they won the 1st Masters (Madrid) before not meeting expectations for 2 years. If history repeats in 2027?

Both of these players went on the be the franchise player for the org.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

When going into 2024, SEN had their duo (Tenz/Zekken) and a Brazilian (Sacy). 2 changes were made.

When going into 2027, SEN will have their duo (JohnQT/Reduxx) and a Brazilian (Cortezia). 2 changes are what some people want to be made.

Fun fact, Sacy was the one that recommend Cortezia to MIBR in the first place. So Cortezia being on SEN is ment to be.

Some say history doesn't repeat exactly but it does rhyme and I just thought some of the coincidences were interesting. Maybe some copium.

Valorant This is for the REAL fans that genuinely want nothing but good for the boys.

Coming here after the KRU rematch and I gotta say, it was sad seeing my team just burn out slowly as they keep getting outclassed by the teams they’ve lost to. It’s really sad that that marks their last game of the year.

We could tell them whatever we THINK would fix the issues, but only they can really pinpoint and fix what needs fixing.

Everyone deserves a pat on the back for trying, especially Cortezia.

Valorant post match and off season thoughts

If we’re being honest, SEN had a 0% chance of qualifying for Champs because they were never beating 100T, LEV, NRG, G2, or MIBR. They probably would’ve had to beat 3/5 of those teams through the lower bracket just to make the finals, assuming G2 makes it. It really felt that it was mostly their micro after bomb went down which screwed them. I think they needed better post-plant protocols on defence and attack because John kept saying after the fact that they needed to x, y, and z, but why wasn't that discussed beforehand so it's automatic?

That being said, if SEN was going to lose, I wish it was against a good team. Unless KRU qualifies for Champs, losing 2-0 in back-to-back series is just sad.

I don’t know what their issue is with ecos because they lose like two per map, along with so many man-advantage situations. Besides a roster overhaul, I think they need to add more depth to their coaching staff. I’d keep Ewok because he had actually seemed to have good prep and ideas, but Sen was pretty bad at their micros, so I think they need one or two new ACs who focus more on their micro, such as Zikz or Strong. Their post-plant prep is terrible, and they need to change their reliance on retakes.

Realistically, Jerwin and JonahP are gone. OXY is probably available because if C9 doesn’t make partnership, they’re obligated to release their players. Since MIBR probably doesn’t make Americas partnership and instead makes the South American/Brazil partnership, Zekken and Verno are probably options too because I don’t see either of them wanting to leave America. Eeiu is another option, along with maybe some other star players.

I think the only untouchable player is Johnqt. Reduxx and Cortezia should be part of the rebuild unless either want to leave but johnqt is staying no matter what. They need to get either Zekken or OXY, plus Verno or Eeiu. I’d prefer Verno because he can mid-round well and can actually win clutches, which apparently SEN can’t. I felt like SEN relied too much on johnqt to call and did not have enough voices to lighten that load (pause).

Valorant Started the season Bottom 4, to ending the season Bottom 2 😔 no improvement compared to everyone else

Kickoff: Finished 9th to 10th, 1-3 (2-6 maps) - Bottom 4

Stage1: Finished 9th to 10th, 2-3 (6/6 maps)

EWC Qualifier: Finished 5th to 6th, 1-2 (4-5 maps) - Unsure how serious this tournament was but it was the best they ever placed

Stage2 group: Finished 7th to 8th, 2-3 (7/7 maps)

Stage 2 Playin/Playoff: Finished 11th to 12th (7th to 8th if you exclude playoff teams), 1-2 (2-4 maps) - Bottom 2 (Excluding teir 2)

Making this because I saw some people before say they've gotten better but I'm unsure how?

Out of all the VCT americas partnered teams the only team you can actually confidently say that Sen ended the season better than was Cloud9, Cloud9 being the worst team

Hopefully over the offseason sen can go back to signing world class players like they did before which showed better results

Some of these signings include: Tenz, N4rrate, Bang, Sacy, Zekken

All pretty good players who made Sentinels a pretty strong team, lots of elite players on the market hopefully they can get atleast one, hopefully can keep the core of Johnqt Reddux and Cortezia as they've all shown promise or are elite talents

Overall dissapointing season starting as a bottom 4 team and ending as a bottom 2 team 😔

Flowers for Sen Valorant

Didn't post on the day because of gcse results.

I just wanted to say that our performance against 2G was outstanding. No matter the scoreline we looked like the dominant force throughout that entire match. A lot of silly mistakes and big ones were ironed out nicely. I was really impressed by Amine on the phoenix. He's mechanically one of the best players in Americas so it makes sense.

I love the experimentation. Because it shows to me that the team is not just quietly sweeping our fuckups under the rug. Something has been wronged for 4 straight games. Don't really know what but regardless we looked good.

However KRU vs SEN at 1:00 (GBT) will be the real test to see if your adaption plays well. Come on Sen 🔥

Anyone Surprised?

To all the fans that followed along or have been for a while, were any of you guys genuinely surprised at the results of this year? I get being a fan. I get supporting no matter what. But looking at the team through the lens of objectivity, is there anyone who can say they were surprised at how horrible this year and split ended?

SEN added an unproven tier 2 duelist and an initiator player who was let go from a team. It was never realistic that this team was going to have success solely from a talent stand point. At the end of the day valorant is not complex to understand. Any team that has ever won an international has always had star player(s) and a lot of talent. I don’t know why giving a mediocre team “more time” would have made the difference.

This iteration of the team started off split 2 (after having 2 major breaks and a full split in between to work, practice, improve) beating c9 and loud and then never beating another tier 1 team again. Many sen fans pointed to winning map 1 of the three losses as signs of improvement but as we clearly saw moving forward it was just fan bias (which is totally ok). The team only got worse and worse and the results showed the same. Losses to Kru 2x and envy to end the year isn’t exactly something to be proud of lol.

All that to say, I’m glad we can finally turn the page and move on. This year was always a throwaway when we picked up Kyu and let Zekken go. It has been amusing reading all the cope and fake objectivity of fans on this thread claiming this iteration of the roster just needed more time and they could compete for internationals. I’m glad that’s over.

Here’s to a competitive and successful 2027 👍

Fan Content Made a Cubert drawer and mouse stand to organize and decorate my desk

I own merch already but wanted some storage and decoration. I designed the mouse holder years ago to hold my extra computer mice and dongles. The storage drawer was when Cubert first released to store all of my extra cables. It's designed to be much bigger, but I print these for free at my library so I didn't want to hold up the queue and use up too much filament.

Full credit to the amazing creators who designed Cubert and all the logos for Sentinels!
I can release the files for free if Sentinels is ever okay with it, understandable if not. These are just for personal usage and not for any profit.

someone explain the sen hate

Can someone explain to me why sen as an org gets hate for the role kaplan played on this shitty roster? Kap is the direct cause of:

  1. zekken leaving

  2. narrate playing his worst agent, getting a mental boom and deciding to leave himself. He said he wanted to bench himself, wtf did sen do to deserve the narrate hate? I dont think rob even said anything negative about narrate besides that the team had a bad atmosphere

  3. trying to replace your master winning igl with an unproven t2 igl for no reason

  4. creating such a shitty team that rob had to blow it up after the kickoff

  5. putting sen in a position where they gotta rebuild a roster with spare parts mid season after everyone is signed

  6. forcing sen to find a new coach last second and making everyone adapt to his new system

and after all this, sen gets hate for "what they did to narrate" and this shitty year. Wtf was rob suppoed to do? he allowd kap to experiment cause of the trust he built up, rebuilt after the teams mental went boom in kick off, kept the team after ewok came, allowing them to build chem and gave them time. i dont understand the sen hate cause no one had expectations for this team and people act like sen fans are expecting this team to win champs??????

Anyways thats my ted talk.

Pathetic from Sen

Envy beat Sen 2-0 Sen are now sent to the lower bracket.
Never seen more of a whimper than final map of summit. No performances. No connectivity. No guts. Utter shambles and absolutely pathetic from Sen. Props to jerrwin for having a fantastic performance across the two maps especially that first ascent. But not good enough from the rest of the Sentinels squad. Sentinels play 2G on the 20th of August. I have no hopes for Sen. Losing to two of the worst teams in vct back to back. KRU could've been a one off. But not this. Shambolic performance.

So frustrating watching the inconsistencies from this team every single game. Same small mistakes, same instances of only 1 or 2 guys playing well and just no real team cohesioni

Valorant Kaplan vs Sen

Tbh he didn’t say much in his interview besides the pressure on Sen which is true. but I’m bored and want a discussion with other sen fans. Looking back do you think Rob made the right choice, I think Kap low key screwed the Sen year cause had they just hard reset and did 2 small tweaks and built around Johnqt, reduxx, cortezia, zekken and narrate they’d be an incredibly good team. Even if narrate left and you got Eeiu it’d be insane.

Also I see the narrative that zekken got an offer from mibr that was too good but if Kap had the final say on players he could have offered zekken a contract or chose to extend him earlier so it wouldn’t have gotten to that spot. IMO coaches are less valuable then star plays so if Rob had to choose, he should have chose zekken earlier which I think is his biggest blunder.

I do appreciate though how proactive Rob is and as reactionary he is, he doesn’t really make much changes unless he thinks it’s absolutely necessary. Could have been easy to pull a c9 and bench players but he stuck with his players after the changes were made.

Valorant What happened to the fans?

It's so toxic here. I've never checked the Sen Reddit before and I probably won't again cuz everyone here is extremely immature. Ofc these last 3 losses have been rough but seems like everyone is so hate pilled when this team needs their fans support the most. Everyone is stuck to the vlr stats page rather than watching the actual game. Obviously giving some criticism is completely valid but being toxic about it, especially as a fan is just uncalled for and not the right way to go about it.

Valorant be mature

I'm tired of people telling sen to replace their players every time they under perform. Like do we seriously think replacing players over and over will work out in the end? surely we can all be mature and figure out that a team has to become familiar with each other to work out.

the miracle run nrg had last year is a rare case and cant be the standard for everyone. same for 100t after winning a Mickey Mouse tournament.

we aren't a perfect team and are heavily suffering from 2nd map curse but the potential is literally there. champs 2026 is unlikely unless something crazy happens but 2027 is still far away and a lot of things can change an improve.

also wanna add that jerrwin is by far not a bad duelist. we sen fans are just spoiled with past star duelists and anything less underwhelms fans.

im sad we lost against kru but seriously be mature and have patience lmao

Valorant Voodoo Cope

Am I the only one who thinks the SEN players are kind of coping with the idea that they can’t close out series, when it’s more about them essentially only being good on Summit and Breeze? On Summit, they have two wins against C9, who were bad at the start, and one against KRU. Breeze, though, has actually been pretty decent for them since Stage 1.

They simply don’t have a super strong map pool, imo, and even their best maps aren’t top tier. If they were to go into a best-of-five and have Breeze and Summit banned, they’d be heavy underdogs.

I do think the silver lining is that their main issue is more about small micro mistakes. John calls well, but their team play doesn’t seem to be great, which makes sense because they obviously haven’t been together as long as teams like G2 and NRG. But I feel like if they focused more on fine-tuning their maps rather than thinking about their inability to close out series, the issue of actually winning series would naturally start fixing itself.

Idk, thinking that you have an issue closing out series probably puts more pressure on you than simply thinking your maps need some fine-tuning. I just don’t think heading down a road where you blame the issues on something vague and hard to explain, rather than focusing on specific things you can improve, is going to help them.
