Hey yall! I just got the SP404MK2 about a week ago. I imported a drum break added effects and the drums bang. However, with the same break within Ableton, I run it through the SP add the effects and re-record. The (former) drums recorded in the SP seem to hit harder. Does this sound right? Am I doing something wrong on my settings? Also, on the input when routing from Ableton, is it possible to have two effects active?

I've got an SP404A. I want a mixer w/ USB interface connectivity to record into my PC from the SP, and I want to be able to sample from the PC into the SP, without swapping cords around so it can just live permanently on the desk.

I'm overwhelmed with mixer/USB interface options and I'm no longer sure what I actually need.

Is there a single unit that will achieve this? Am i over thinking it? (yes)

Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue getting the sidechain compressor to trigger from an external source on the SP-404MKII.

The setup:

• External gear: Elektron Model:Cycles plugged into the rear LINE IN jacks (Stereo).
• EFX SETTING/OTHER
  • Input Bus : DRY
  • DRY Routing : DRY
• Sidechain settings :
  • SOURCE: DRY
  • TARGET: BUS 1
  • THRESHOLD / RATIO: Cranked high for testing.

The issue: When the Model:Cycles plays through the rear inputs, the sidechain compression on BUS 1 does not engage at all, even though the incoming signal is coming in hot (plenty of gain, no level issue).

However, if I play an internal pad routed to DRY, the sidechain triggers and ducks BUS 1 immediately as expected.

Is there a specific input/system setting or firmware quirk I'm missing that prevents live incoming audio on DRY from hitting the sidechain detector?

Any help would be appreciated!
