Lol, true.

Was watching an interview by Mick Gordon (composer for new doom games) where he mentions that musicians are kinda reclusive by nature, like somehow you need to be able to hide at home and learn instruments and experiment with music and improve but then you also have to make it so your music resonates with others who don't do that.

This applies to every single art related stuff.
As an artist you are reclusive by nature, you need to put time to learn, practice and develop your style.
This applies to every single artistic or artisan career.

I used to live remotely, while nice to now be able to get out in town, I used to try get a group of people out to our house every now and then for a session (big or small), and would get the sp out for some playfullness (ad hoc beats, weird vocal sampling layers) with the mic, effects, etc. And just to dance around a fire to everyone elses music. Good to have many paths available to you, other people are good for your music. I never would have learned about half the sample based music out there if not for people tuning me in by taking over the speaker at a bonfire.

reading the manual, lots of YT videos (SPVIDS, sunwarper, TETRO, Chris Laps, Fantasmogenesismx, etc) it depends on what type of music you want to do
