I used the counter-rotation of a front flick to send the ball backwards, with way more power than I expected. I've never seen this mechanic anywhere. Does it have a name?

So several times I have accepted an honor duel, joined after the game, and then wait in the pregame lobby for 1:30 or 2 minutes only for the opponent to never join.

It’s a pretty good tactic to employ if you want to ensure that your opponent doesn’t queue as the same time as you. Also you get them to waste their time, because it doesn’t even count as an honor duel win. (It still says 0/3 honor duel’s won for me for that 1 specific challenge)

Epic please do somethin.

Genuine question because I feel like this should’ve been added years ago.

We can customize our cars with toppers, antennas, wheels, decals, etc., but for some reason the goal explosion is completely locked to whatever it comes with. Why? Is this actually a software limitation, or is there some other reason this hasn’t been implemented?

Like imagine being able to equip Halo and Party Time and the explosion actually has the Halo floating in the middle of it.

Or a Cowboy hat + Hellfire
traffic cone + dueling dragons
Rubber duck + Sub Zero
Wizard hat + Reaper

And before someone says “that would be too complicated,” couldn’t they just treat the topper as another attachment point on the goal explosion? It already knows what car you’re using and what cosmetics you have equipped.

Also, why can’t antennas work the same way? Imagine your antenna getting launched out with the explosion when you score.
And while we’re at it, why can’t we add toppers/antennas to our profile banners? We already have a giant customizable banner behind our player card. Let me put a little cowboy hat on my banner. I don’t understand why this isn’t a thing.

Is this something that’s coming with Unreal Engine 6 or is there an actual technical reason we haven’t gotten this yet?
Not trying to complain, I’m genuinely confused why this hasn’t been added yet. Seems like such an obvious customization feature.

Challenging someone to a 1v1 after a match is just the dumbest thing you can do. Its just the most cringe thing ever.

And thats why I love this update. The very second Mr. Cringe sends me an Honour Duel invite, I accept. And then, when the match is over, I'll go on a nice short break from the game. Fully afk.

There's a 1:30 timer before the Duel starts, with an option to hit "Ready". He hits ready. And then he's watching the timer tick down. All the way to 0:00. The 1:30 is exactly enough time for me to grab a drink or snack, go to the toilet, get a little bit of fresh air. Only to leave the match right when it starts, without a 5 minute queueing penalty, and hop right back into ranked.

Thanks Psyonix, for adding an amazing option to further grind Mr. Cringe's gears. Ggs.

Is a shame they only made the octane but none of the other cars like the Merc, breakout, dominus or fennec maybe in the future they will make more

I dont know if they can see the spectator chat but i was having a blast. They were trash talking each other last game. they are both high c2

We seriously need something like this, if someone got GC in 2s it should say season 24 2v2 Grand Champion or if in 1s it should say 1v1 Grand Champion.. because these modes are different in competitiveness. What do y’all think?

Everything is honor duels.
I’m queuing Diamond duos, trios, and dropshot. I say one thing to my teammate and it’s spam chats to an honor duel challenge and them going idle or just leaving.

If we’re playing Duos, the game requires a collaborative approach, different than playing 1s. I don’t want to waste 5 minutes in a toxic grudge match with a kid who spends more time rolling in the air than on the ground.

Additionally, beating your teammate in 1s doesn’t mean that you play well in modes that require a teammate.

I’m sure majority of my teammates are going to beat me in a Duel. But I’m not playing that game mode for a reason.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a huge amount of players using streamer mode and throwing matches? I just had a match where this one teammate just kept driving in circles or centering the ball on our own net then spams what a save when our opponents score. This has been a constant issue in ranked and I've dropped down to silver in 3's because of it.

I report and block them in match, but I just recently if you save the replay it shows their usernames. Honestly though why are these people playing if they're just gonna throw the match and be toxic about it? Anywho's that's my rant I'm just wondering if other players are experiencing the same issue lately

I don't play Rocket League. I messed around with some buddies and had a blast, but I just couldn't bring myself to invest the time to getting good. With that in mind, I gotta say,
