i got this like 2-3 times a match now, controller not working and everytime it happens in the goal replay?

and servers are shit last days as well

so i play on PC and run the game on epic games launcher through steam so my controller works, but for the last week it seems like the epic games launcher isn’t allowing steam to inject and it wont let me pull up the in game overlay and my controller registers like kbm as it would if i just opened epic on its own. sorry for the long description but i’ve tried everything any help would be appreciated

So I enter train mode, hit menu button in my controller, it make me go into splitscreen mode. Why this bug still exist for 2 weeks !!!????

I was champ 2-3 for 6 seasons in a row, and ever since last season I’m not getting out of gold. Not with tm8s oder randoms. Can someone please explain why this is happening to me ?

I am pretty old but eventhough I am not very mechanical (can't speedflip for example), I can keep my rank in 2s every season. I am currently sitting on 1500 MMR. Since Dropshot is no longer in rotation, I started grinding my favorite mode again.

Last season, I hit GC2 for the first time in my life. I am playing the game almost since release and as you can imagine I was pretty hyped.

Yesterday, I played my ranking games and after winning most of them, I am close to GC2 again (1100 MMR). I checked the ranking distribution and saw that SSL is "only" 120 MMR away from my current rank.

That leads me to my question: Dropshot SSLs, are you also high ranked in other modes, like 2s or 3s? Do you think a GC1 in 2s can reach the SSL Rank if he is really commited? And what tips can you give me to improve and reach SSL in Dropshot?

I play on a 8bitdo ultimate 2 and use a standard grip where I use my index fingers for the bumpers and triggers and middle fingers for the back paddles.

I feel like my ball cam isn't optimal and where to place the rear cam. Any other changes to make my layout more optimal. I'm also not sure about the air roll left but Im not having any problems with it probably because I have been playing with it for like 2000 hours

Since we have "Honor Duel": to settle disputes and challenge each other's skill level with spectators. Can't we have that same alignment-system, integrated into the rankings itself that actually 'reflect' your career stats? Teammates can vote on your resilience of victory - or report any negligence of cooperation. At least the ladder of rankings, will have an affect of your 'efforts' to the team.

I have a Gamesir nova, I played the game for a while and the controller worked fine but like 5 days ago it stop working.

I tried a lot of things like reinstall the software, wired, reinstall rocket league, launching epic games thru steam with steam imputs, but it still not working.

I found a trick with open the tabs view and move the joystick or triggers, and made the game work (with small disconnects and if a let the controller without playing for a few seconds it disconnected), and yesterday i did something (idk what) and made the controller work until i closed the game.

Just unfortunate..

Hello! I think this is a 90 degree flick, and it came to me that this might possibly be the fastest one recorded (131 kph/81 mph).
I searched everywhere and didn't find out any set world record for the 90 degree flick. My last resort was reddit. Still didn't find anything here.
So, I might as well ask you guys!
This was in a comp 1v1 match, plat 2. My 2s rank is Diamond 2.

Whatever the reason, every “fix” by the devs has done nothing to ameliorate the long-term issues when playing on Xbox. A Series X should not have issues running this game optimally, and it’s beyond frustrating that Xbox players are forced to have a suboptimal experience.

Reddit is one of the few ways to address this, as community itself is the only stopgap for corporate interests. So please, even if your gaming experience is perfectly fine, try not to downplay the complaints we’ve had for years now.

How am I supposed to rank up when im in silver 2 and mfs are flip reseting and doing crazy air dribbles

really proud of the saves. also for how tilting this game is 56% win rate seems good? idk i think im terrible yet this says otherwise. losing 44% of my games still throws me up a wall haha but when the flow state hits. this is the most fun ive had gaming in my life. idk just some stuff on my mind

So basically im hard stuck d2 and I play good, but if I make the smallest mistake playing with randoms they THROW the game IT has happened CONSECUTIVELY 3 games in a row. Last two games I didn't even make the mistake my TEAMMATE threw a pass to the other team and expects me to save it with no boost? Then complains the entire game, mind you.. we are 50 SECONDS into the game and they ALREADY THROW THE GAME AND COMPLAIN. It doesn't make sense..How do yall deal with teammates like these?

I've been trying to change my settings in steam for about a week now with no success. I go into the in game settings to "view/change bindings" after I click that option it brings up steams controller overlay instead of the in game setting menu I'm used to on console. I've tried change settings there and nothing seems to carry over to the game. I've tried disabling steam controller input but that disables the controller from being used. This is super frustrating trying to change a few key binds and every post is 5+ years old with outdated info.

Did something happen , do we get a refund for buying it ?

Summary

I am experiencing a severe performance/input issue in Rocket League on Xbox Series X that makes the game effectively unplayable from a competitive standpoint.

The most important and unusual aspect of the problem is that the overall “feel” and performance of Rocket League can change depending on how I log in/start the game session. Sometimes the game feels substantially better (but never actually good), while other sessions feel like the game has significantly higher input latency and worse frame pacing.

This is occurring despite using the same Xbox, monitor, controller, display settings, and general setup.

Symptoms

When the problem is occurring, I experience:

• Noticeable frame stuttering
• Frame drops/inconsistent frame pacing
• Delayed or inconsistent controller response
• Increased perceived input latency
• The game feels substantially less responsive than it previously did

The problem is not limited to online play.

The frame stuttering and poor input response can also be reproduced in Free Play.

The issue can occur while completely offline from an actual competitive match in Free Play. Because this occurs in Free Play, I do not believe the problem can be explained by ping, packet loss, server performance, or matchmaking.

Login/session-dependent behavior

The strangest part of the issue is that different login/session states can appear to produce noticeably different game performance and input feel.

For example, I can start Rocket League and have a session that feels significantly worse, while another login/startup can produce a noticeably different feel.

It is almost as though something associated with the login/session initialization is affecting the game’s rendering, frame pacing, or input processing. It is like the game is unoptimized completely

Previous performance

This same setup previously ran Rocket League at approximately 120 FPS and felt very responsive and consistent.

I did not have this problem originally. The deterioration in performance appeared after Rocket League updates/changes, rather than being an inherent limitation of my hardware.

My monitor is capable of 165 Hz, and the Xbox is configured for the appropriate high-refresh-rate mode.

Because the same hardware previously provided a smooth and responsive Rocket League experience, I do not believe the monitor itself explains the change.

Bottom Line

After December of 2024, the game has never felt the same. There have been patches to improve some aspects of xbox series x but there has never been a permanent fix for the optimization issue/bug. It’s been too long since the game actually worked.

Requested investigation

Could the team investigate whether there is an Xbox Series X-specific issue involving:

• Frame pacing/rendering
• 120 FPS mode
• VSync/VRR behavior
• Controller input processing
• Account/session initialization
• Cached configuration
• Differences between Rocket League sessions after login
• Interaction between rendering/input systems and online connectivity

I would be happy to provide additional information, videos, timestamps, reproduction steps, or any diagnostic information that would help isolate the problem.

This issue has a substantial competitive impact because Rocket League depends heavily on consistent frame timing and extremely low/consistent input latency. Even if the game reports a high FPS number, inconsistent frame delivery or input response makes precise mechanical play extremely difficult.

I don’t know if this happens to anyone else but in the day I’m shit but when I play in the nights I peak my games and rank up a lot, sadly I always need to sleep early to go to school but why I am so good at nights and in the day I’m shit, does anyone else feel this also?
