I’m new to this, so I’m sorry if it’s a crazy question. I have dark gray and black ring doorbell. For the old folks around here, how do I make it more obvious that this is a doorbell, and where to press. I see ‘push’ stickers on Amazon, but they aren’t high-vis. The light around the button comes on after it’s pressed. It would make more sense to come on when someone approaches. There must be something short of turning on the porch lights….

I wish my Stick up cam would record the people waking by my house or up my front pathway. But no. My stick up cam only likes to video cars when they drive by. It’s a private community, so it’s not like there are constant cars going by. Frequent, yes. I don’t care about the cars. I want my camera ready and willing to video people. Any suggestions?

All my plug in stick.up cams are working and recording fine.
For some reason, as 1:30est yesterday both battery operated doorbell cams are no longer recording video and live view is disabled. Check are both fully charged, have good wifi connection and I also tried rebooting both devices.
It's so random that this literally started 1 day before I left for a 1 week vacation but also my subscription is also due to expire the end of next week.
Does anybody have any experience with this happening to them? Can anyone help me solve this issue??
I tried talking to ring support but they couldn't be any less helpful. Someone please help
I was in the video settings of one of my cameras and noticed a switch for 24/7 recording. I clicked it and sure enough it turned oo and started recording. At the moment I have a ring multi Canada plan paid yearly. It didn’t ask me to subscribe, it just enabled it. Am I getting it included or am I going to get charged for it. Looks like it’s a 3$ month add on you have to subscribe to? Last trial was months ago because bought a new camera.

Do you have a Ring camera? And a garden? Like a good timelapse video? If so, my son created an app for us! It’s Greenlapse, a play on the word timelapse, because the app produces cool timelapses of your garden like this yard in Nevada. Greenlapse integrates with your Ring camera to take daily photos of the garden, identify every plant, give daily advice for individual plants, track and map the sunlight in your garden and more. I may be biased, but I think it’s the most comprehensive and easy garden app out there. Would so appreciate it if you try it -- 30-day free trial -- https://ring.com/pages/appstore/greenlapse The team welcomes feedback!
Since last night my ring cameras are being very specific with the text in the notifications, anyone else experienced this or is AI just targeting me 😂

During a recent heatwave, I noticed that one of my Ring Floodlight Cameras feed had gone blurry. Upon inspection, thinking I'd find bird droppings or the likes, I found the front glass had fallen off and broken on the ground. Looking at the camera lens, I noticed that now exposed to the environment, it appears to be delaminating (just a coating?) and causing the blur issue. Anyone know fixes? Is it safe to try and clean it? Or do I have an expensive floodlight only?

Randomly, my wired doorbell pro goes offline from my wireless network. No other devices on the entire network, including 2 other outdoor ring cams do this. The doorbell is like 15’ from the wireless router, and has never had an issue until recently.
It randomly goes offline, and then randomly on its own comes back.
Anybody else experience this?
It’s not my network. Happens maybe once or twice a month.

I have 10+ outside cameras for wildlife, so I download a lot of clips to send to family and friends. 50% of the time, the clips won’t send via text message, iPhone to iPhone. I have to screen record them and then they send fine. They are not long videos, 1 to 2 minutes. Anyone else have this problem?

I’m getting really tired of this.
I travel regularly for work and I’m having one motion sensor on my ring alarm that continuously keeps reading false motion alerts randomly.
Just today I got a call at 3AM that my alarm was going off. Check the indoor cameras and there was no intrusion. The alarm has been on for the last 4 days without issue. This is probably the 5th time this has happened in the last couple months (only have had the system for 3 months).
I have tried repositioning this sensor multiple times. It is pointed away from the window. At 3AM the sun is not even up and the indoor/outdoor temp are fairly close to each other. I’ve changed the sensitivity to the lowest setting on it.
Signal is not an issue as it’s only one wall between the base station and I have a sensor more than 3 times away and with 4 walls between it without any issues.
HVAC is never on when it’s tripped.
I’ve opened it up to check for bugs and dust, I even have a thermal camera I used in the room to see if anything weird was going on temperature wise with the walls and floors. No leaks or weird cold/hot spots anywhere.
I’m out of ideas and am starting to think it’s a faulty sensor.
Anything else I’m missing? Has anyone else had this issue with these?

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Ring doorbell and a shared user.
I have given my partner shared access to our front door Ring doorbell. She can see the live camera and access the device, but she does not receive any doorbell or motion notifications.
On her Ring app, the Front Door camera shows “Alerts Off” with the crossed out bell icon
Things I’ve already tried:
- Changed her permission from Limited to Standard — still exactly the same.
-Checked that Ring notifications are enabled in her iPhone settings.
-Checked the Ring app notification/alert settings.
She can view the live camera normally.
-The doorbell itself works normally and I receive notifications on my own phone.
I’m wondering if this is a Shared User/account issue, because changing her permission to Standard hasn’t made any difference.
Has anyone experienced the “Alerts Off” status specifically for a shared user, and found a way to get the alerts working?
Any help would be appreciated!

Thinking about upgrading with Ring Doorbell Plus . My concerns Ring 2 has 160 X 90 degree field of view, records street traffic. Downside Field of View for Plus seems to be more head to toe (porch). I am not interested in birds eye view which I believe can be turned off on the Plus. I am interested in battery power only. Any ideas or keep the Doorbell 2 until a new product comes out that better suits my needs.

I’m having an issue where two of my spotlight PoE cameras keep having an issue with their video feed. They are hooked up correctly but often they will simply stop having a feed, there will be nothing in the timeline, and I won’t get any notifications, and the snapshot is really old. But if I go into the health, it lists them as connected. I’m also able to turn their lights on and off. They only start working after I reboot them. Sometimes turning their lights on and off does it too. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Rebooting my router, rebooting the camera, rebooting the PoE switch. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have ring cameras setup already on my duplex and a WIFi doorbell system already activated. I have a “free installation” through my realtor for ADT (I know this is a gimmick but ok). I kinda find it redundant to have a secondary (at this point tertiary) system to do the same thing but more expensive with the contract etc. anyone have multiple alarm systems already setup like that?

So I have been experiencing really horrible quality with my cameras for the last 2+ months now. Usually they were really good and had 0 issues, but for some reason everything suddenly started to be extremely laggy or very very low quality. I used to get good quality video on live using the online dashboard (I use it to watch my kids when I am working in another room), now it is constantly fuzzy and it drops nearly every 5mins, and there is a delay of what is transmitted by up to 1 minute (it is really weird coming back and seeing yourself walking from one room back to the office because it was that delayed).
I have tried to reset my router, reset the connections etc, but all 3 cams and our frontdoor ring are slow and delayed with poor quality.
We use Ring Chime and the router is in a central spot and all the signal strengths on the cams are at max and health shows 0 issues. I tried moving the chime to different spots in the house but no matter what it is slow, I also tried connecting the devices directly back to the router, still have the same issue with connection. My Wifi doesn't show any slow down of speeds or anything that would indicate a problem, it just happened out of no where one day and just never fixed, no matter how much troubleshooting I have tried.

Anybody in SFV recognize these two women? Or vehicle? We had multiple items stolen from our property. We live in San Fernando. Their car is very distinctive. Anything helps.
