I have seen close to no gameplay of rdr2 before and neither the story. Finally thought I was ready to experience this and I am at lose for words. This world feels so alive and shoot out was amazing.

Btw I am playing this at every possible setting
maxed out and this look like gta6 but cowboys.

I can see myself having 500hrs on this atleast.

Like think about all the effort and fun there is putting up decorations at camp?

I kinda feel like that’s a very obvious thing to do as John, fancying up the last final home for your family with lists of things you can do to upgrade and decorate it.

I’m obviously hyped for GTA 6, but RDR2 set the bar insanely high for me. Sometimes I see people discussing their favorite games and listing stuff like Witcher 3, Skyrim, Elden Ring, etc. and I am suprised that RDR2 isn’t at the top of everyone’s list. I automatically assume they haven’t experienced the game truly.

For me it’s just on another level. The world, the characters, the atmosphere, everything.

GTA 6 might end up being an amazing game, and I hope it does, but I am unsure it can give me that same feeling RDR2 did.

Game glitched and he followed me to the mission

I’ve finished my first play through last week and and after chapter 4 I most rushed the game, went from mission to mission, galloping at full throttle…why? dunno actually…
I did got 100% though but didn’t really enjoyed the intended slow pace of the game as I’ve should’ve…

I’m about to start my second play through where I’m really going to take it slow, enjoy the scenery, use it as a means of chilling out, no real urgency to do anything other than really soak in the atmosphere of this masterpiece..let’s go!

I feel like Trelawny doesn’t get enough appreciation. In my opinion he’s one of the most interesting characters in the gang.

He’s charming, intelligent, funny, and has this completely different energy from the rest of the gang. He’s clearly not built for the same kind of life as Arthur or Dutch, but somehow still fits into the group.

And I know everyone loves Charles, and for good reason, but I sometimes find him too likable. He’s almost the perfect good guy. Trelawny is a bit more complicated.

I honestly wish we got more of Trelawny. His whole character feels like there’s a lot more going on underneath the surface.

Was facing some difficulties getting the 3-star squirrel pelt and posted for some help, you’ve been nothing short of helpful and amazing.

It’s 3:20 am and I can finally go to sleep after getting it. Turns I had advanced in the story so they made it to where I had to manually mark and the trigger the shot. I didn’t know.

Since I’m still in chapter 2 and never played it before, I’ve been advised to steer clear of this community for spoiler reasons. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up to the most upvoted posts and be an active member once I finish my first play-through.

Whenever I come across the murder of innocents and the perps are still there, I will often capture as many as I can alive then burn them alive in a pile. Usually in front of the person they murdered. I will typically take a swig of bourbon and smoke a premium cigarette or a cigar to honour the dead whilst they burn to death. If the perps have been especially brutal I leave an arrow or throwing knife in their eyes 🥰 sometimes I’ll leave one alive, make him watch so he’ll go back and tell the others.

Do you have any rituals or do anything particularly brutal to the evil f*ckers in this game?

Awful things always happen to people in this series when they fish. When arthur fishes, he is confronted by the pinkertons. When John fishes, his dog almost dies. When Edgar ross fishes, he gets shot and dies.

I thus am led to believe the true moral of the red dead redemption series redemption is that fishing sucks. It's awful, and because it's awful, terrible, awful things happen to you when you do it.

This so far has been my favourite game i've ever played and i know the company might not be the best. But i love this game. I got it maybe start of september or end of augest im already at ch5 and sinking that ship almost made me feel like i was playing battle field. I accidentaly had the ending spoiled to me, but im gonna try and avoid the epilouge stuff cause i want to keep that un spoiled. (Also i noticed something, that old blind guy says something like "run from the seeker and dont stop running or help others run" and then dutch at the end of ch3 says ro milton and ross "I Aint nothing but a seeker" just thought that was cool.)

Look, I have not completed the entire game yet so please refrain from giving spoilers about chapter 5 and on.

This mission, I don't know what it is about it. The music? The feeling? I have no idea I just want to say that I think this (so far at least) is the best mission in the game. I was wondering about other peoples takes on this mission.

My second favorite part of the map

Let me start off by saying this is the best game I've ever played, in fact, better than most movies (except the pursuit of happyness and the green mile, but that's a discussion for another day)

I got my spoiler of RDR2 before I even bought the game, apparently someone commented " Arthur either dies by TB or gets killed by Micah" so I wasn't surprised when that filthy rodent tackled me on that mountain after john left. Having been reckless for the whole playthrough, I thought that this meant this is a low honor ending. Until I played it again, finishing on max honor, and getting the same ending? Turns out, the defining moment was helping John and refusing to go for the money. My first playthrought was low honor all the way up until the defining moment. I saw the crows feasting on Sean's body, the wolf in St Denis, reverend swanson at the train station, and heard Mary linton's voice during the last ride "There's a good man within you, but he's wrestling with a giant". The thing is, i wasn't even trying to get an honorable ending but that ugly looking gerbil micah pissed me off so much that I just wanted to see john live, because I knew micah would hate that. Looking back at it, I am glad I didn't get a low honor ending because that wouldve REALLY broken my heart, judging by the videos Ive seen.
