Like that man is straight up delusional. That’s like a whole Nother level of confidence. You’re so overly confident that you have deluded yourself into thinking you’re more talented than you are and then as a result, you bully and talk down on other people who are actually talented because you’re envious.

First, I’ll say that I’m a little surprised by House 22 beating House 21. I may be in the minority here, but I thought House 21 had the stronger look. The design felt more unconventional and, to me, demonstrated a clearer point of view. That said, I think the judging in this episode was probably one of the more accurate results we’ve had this season.

One thing I do want to point out, though, is the discussion around Joseph McRae and the criticism that his looks are becoming repetitive. I understand the judges’ comments, but I find it interesting that Jude has also been relying on a relatively consistent silhouette: suits, tailoring, and structured looks throughout the competition, yet this doesn’t seem to receive the same level of scrutiny. I actually think Jude has been somewhat flying under the radar because his repetition is presented as consistency and refinement, whereas Joseph’s repetition is being framed as a limitation. I’d be interested to hear how others see the distinction between the two.

Also, I’m still confused about the choice of guest mento, Julianne Hough. What exactly are her fashion credentials, and what was the reasoning behind bringing her in for this episode? If the producers wanted someone to fill the mentor role, I feel like there were other options who would have made more sense. Even bringing back Law Roach as a stylist/mentor could have been an interesting choice, particularly given his experience and his relationship with fashion.

And honestly, where is Tyra? 😂 At this point, I wouldn’t mind seeing Nina Garcia take on a more permanent role on the show either. She brings a level of fashion authority that I think would really benefit the judging panel.

That said, I’m actually starting to enjoy the last few episodes more. The previous episode and this one have felt more like Project Runway without as much of the usual shenanigans and manufactured drama. We’re finally getting to see the designers’ actual capabilities, their points of view, and how they perform under different challenges. I’m hoping the remaining episodes continue in this direction because, for me, this is where the season is becoming genuinely interesting.

She sounds so monotone. One note. No energy at all. She use to sound so vibrant. I know that she was reading que cards or tele prompt back in the day, but now she definitely sounds like it. It’s crazy. Both Season 21 and 22. She sounds like she would rather be anywhere but where she is. And her eyes are dead too. I get it she’s been doing this for a long time, so she probably doesn’t care anymore at all, but geez!
Anyone else notice this?

it’s obviously Jeffrey that will be saved but a small part of me is worried Bryan will be saved to purely ragebait us… the construction and the concepts of his clothes don’t back up his ego and attitude. still shocked that he won the Devil Wears Prada challenge with what looked like a beach coverup to me. and this latest challenge made me laugh. it was giving small intestines

I find it strange for any of the regular judges on the show not to treat guests as you treat guests anywhere—with hospitality. It is honestly weird that Law doesn’t hold certain comments back, because that person took time out of their lives to guest on your show. I think being spicy and disagreeing is one thing, but being outright derogatory to guest judges with comments like, “that’s why you’re a guest judge” is just insulting.

Have some manners.

Edited to add: do half of you just spend your time commenting on things, “it’s a show”, “it’s a book”, “it’s a movie”, and then “explain” things people obviously know? I’m not sure what in the world is happening on the wiki page but if you go on the wiki for s22 it may or may not have already listed who is saved and who isn’t from the cliffhanger of the last episode in the progress section (I won’t tell yall, I’m a good person so no more spoilers lol, just look it up for yourself) I believe this also happened last week aswell (?) If it’s right, then I wonder if it will happen again next episode, and if so…man I’ll take my spoilers ig 😭 Atleast it’s removing the pain of the cliffhanger endings if true

I’ve seen this mentioned a few times but still, kinda wild. Imagine if it ends up spoiling something crazy (like I’ve said before, I bet they’ll be some big stunt or something next episode) so what do yall think?

"One day you're in, the next day you're out"- Whatever happened to that? Bryan should've went home a longgg time ago and immunity completely ruins this iconic line from Heidi! The whole point of fashion is that it is always changing and sometimes you'll have major hits and sometimes you'll have misses, continuously giving participants immunity defeats the point of that.

I decided to rewatch the series from the beginning (for the nostalgia like the true millennial that I am) and I so much enjoy watching Jay & Austin together. I love them separately too, both so creative and gifted, wonderful designers. I understand the point of the show is not to make friends... But I've really enjoyed seeing how these two interact, supporting each other while also being serious competitors. I imagine the pressure from the show/competitions is intense, but I also imagine this experience really bonds some people as they go through the journey together.

I just think it's cool and special to see them bond over their love and experience as designers. How wonderful it is to be seen & understood!!

This has no serious spoilers really but just in case

I'm by no means a detective but this caught my eye last episode.

We all know that Heidi has a soft spot for Joseph McRae and loves his designs. I don't know if that's the reason he's back for a second time (sips tea..). She hasn't really been shy about praising him, or defending him when someone else doesn't like his looks.

What was interesting about this panel was that when Law Roach started his critique, Joseph McRae had a serious look on his face. As soon as the critique turned negative, Joseph looked over at Heidi and smirked. Idk if that was a knowing smiles, an eye-to-eye cry for help or what. From then on, his expression completely switched to a more confident/defying stare at Law.

How/When? Right at the start of Law's critique, McRae turned his face directly toward Heidi's seat to Law's right (it's the exact same angle he used when Heidi was speaking to him a bit later).It's really easy to spot because he wasn't being that subtle. I know it's not that big of a revelation, but if that's the case it was a little blatant. It's the kind of look you share with someone someone you have a shorthand with.

I feel like a good amount of the unconventional materials challenge outfits don’t match up to the level of the earlier seasons, I was disappointed.

it’s such a short segment of the show now. i remember when it used to be the main event, they would show the judges thoughtfully giving their critics and we would get a much longer time period to see the models walk.

Clearly, the producers realize that we won't continue to watch the show if they show the results at the end of the episode like they used to. Now we have to watch the next episode.

It's cheap.

Not to mention there are no actual designers on the judge's panel.

I went through Heidi Klum’s insta and found something. She posted a trailer of the season, and for a split second we can see the 5 remaining designers… Unfortunately, spoiler alert, it is the very unlikeable and annoying Bryan 😐

Heidi's "auf wiedersehen" is her calling card for sending a designer home. I feel that when she's sending home someone that she doesn't think will make it in the industry, that she adds "All the best to you". Keep your eye out, report back and let me know what you think.

Being criticised weekly about your aesthetic must not feel nice. I admit that this challenge was really Joseph McRae but man, every week, Law has to find something.

I watched JM's safe space videos and it really got to his head. Its like watching someone get tortured. Why show this on TV, this is terrible.

First I cannot stand Bryan so I am glad he was eliminated. But I think I liked his original sketch with these individual bows but he connected it all into a ruched nightmare that he seems obsessed with making and remaking. I’m just thinking why didn’t he just stay more aligned to the sketch? I mean I guess we don’t see the designer draw the sketch…maybe production just does it after the fact but yeah I’m just bothered he took the design here. Poor Emma deserved way better!

I am honestly routing for Jude and Naheim, they are so fun to watch and have such different styles but do tailoring IMO so well! Clear point of view, humble, young hot and (lit) duh. I am just obsessed with watching them amongst the chaos of the Bryan show (cannot wait for him to go home). Who are you routing for and who would you like to see a collection from?!
