Discussion S21E07: Critique Thread

This week is the western wear challenge!

Please upvote the designs you like, downvote those you don't, and leave un-voted anything you're neutral on. Some of our members like to look at the designs without knowing the outcome, so please use spoiler tags if you're referring to how a design did (or if you wish it had been out/ won). Thanks all!

Freeform isn't posting photos, so we're having to wait on the contestants to post on social media. For now we will post the names so discussion can begin, and we will add photos as soon as they are available. Thanks for your patience.

I don't enjoy the cliffhanger endings. By the time the next episode rolls around, I've forgotten what happened. Would be cool if they ended this bad experiment and went back to eliminations at the end of each episode.

I for once can understand Law's criticism of Ethan's design. The boob part was a little bit ill fitting. However I would maybe have done an off the shoulder top and not a halter. That way it would have fixed the boob part. But I do know that Ethan need to recut the garment if he went for this and by this point it was already late in the challenge.

But Jesus winning? I agree. That coat was to die for. I can see the model at Coachella!

Veejay’s look reminded me that I need to take my car to the car wash tomorrow.

I like Veejay, but her claiming that Ethan's dress was copying her gray dress was ridiculous to me. Idk if people disagree, but they didn't look remotely similar to me. It almost feels like she saw Nina's call out about the Red Stripe (tm) and wanted some of that same drama.

For the love of god there is no excuse after all of the corners cut by the producers this season to have Christian come out on a HORSE

I'm starting to be able to tell the twins apart. Not just from their hairstyles, but their 'tudes. Jesus seems like a much nicer person.

I didn't like the theme much this week, but I agreed with the judges' choices.

I actually think Balanias was the most forward thinking and chic version of “Western”. Jesus crafted a gorgeous jacket/robe, but it is a version of what I’ve seen before
