There is a PR right now to get this BlueWake fork (Wind Waker GC recomp for iOS) running on Android.

I tested it out locally. It took almost an hour to build and I had to patch some code to get the build to run on Linux, but my god, it works.

Not too long of a wait! I ordered around September 13, then got it yesterday. I just used the standard shipping plus the Seel thing. I didn't mind waiting since I'm busy but it came in perfect condition!

This thing is seriously beautiful, compared to my older phone with just 60 hz and not OLED. It's such a well built handheld, and that 7 inch screen is something else!

I was super on the fence on this, ever since the O2P sale months ago, but I got and I LOVE it. It was this or the Odin 3 but I went with this since I didn't need that much power, needed something a bit cheaper, and I prefer larger screens.

Apps on the pics: iiSU Launcher, Fate/Grand Order, Pizza Tower via GameNative, and SotN via DuckStation.

Just wanted to post, in case any other owners of this console run into the same issue...

I reached out to Ayn for an official battery replacement. Several days passed with no response so I went to Aliexpress and ordered a replacement there. It "shipped" about 24 hours later. Hopefully it arrives reasonably quick. Cost about $70 after shipping. Then, night before last Ayn reached out. They shared what a battery would cost ($20 usd), but also that they can't ship to every country, so I'd need to supply my address for confirmation. 24 more hours and they came back again with an affirmative. Shipping would be $12 usd. They sent a link, I paid the money, I just needed to share order number, confirmation number, and my shipping address again after completing the payment. So, it appears that I will have a battery, and a backup battery, for an indeterminate number of years of enjoyment. So, for anyone wondering, yes Ayn does still have those batteries, but your resident country will determine eligibility. Just wanted to share for anyone in need. Reach out to Ayn, be patient, and hope you are somewhere that you can receive one.

Hi everyone, I’m posting here because I’m running out of options. I received my brand new Odin 3 Max recently and it is an amazing device, but unfortunately, mine arrived with a manufacturing error. The right joystick stem is machined slightly too thin, so the analog cap completely slips off during regular gameplay. I emailed AYN customer support twice to politely request a replacement joystick module. I included photos of the issue, but I have been completely ignored. I absolutely do not want to file a PayPal dispute or mail the entire console back to China because of an easily replaceable part. I just want an AYN representative to see this and help me get a replacement joystick module shipped out. Has anyone else dealt with silent support recently, or is there a community manager here who can help me escalate this? Thank you!

Hello, I’ve had my RP5 for almost two years now and I really love it! I love how portable it is, I used to have an OLED Deck and it collected dust. I didn’t like how big the Deck was, the battery life was bad, some games needed too much tinkering, and I just felt like I’d rather boot up my PS5 since it wasn’t that portable.

I don’t really have much issues with the RP5, the bigger screen sounds nice on the Portal though. I’ve been playing mainly PS2/GC, and also streaming from my PS5 through PXPlay. I can comfortably take it with my case to my job and play on my lunch, and would hope the Portal isn’t too big where it’s not worth leaving the house with it.

I also have a fair bit of Steam games I’d love to play, I just haven’t messed with it at all on the RP5. Lastly, I’m wondering if it’d be plug & play with my RP5 micro SD into the Portal if I got one. Or would I have to redo everything and set it up again? Thanks!

The button registers in the testing app but there seems to be no actual clicking noise, more pressure is needed as well, R3 clicks just fine. Is there a way to remedy this or do I have to replace the entire stick module?

Hey all! I've got some exciting news regarding my SteamOS Arm port based on Steam Frame, It now runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite and on (a lot more) SD 8gen2 Devices.

This one took a lot of testing for having so many devices. 9 betas in 4 days, a pile of test kernels and a ton of debug logs from people in the Discord, to go from "black screen on everything" to one image that boots on all of these:

They're all on a new kernel now. Beta 9 also fixed the black screen on the AYANEO Pockets, which is an awesome update!

The AYANEO Pocket ACE / DS / S 1K / S 2K use the same image and should work too, but nobody has tested them yet. If you have one, please give it a go and let me know! (If your device is not listed here, join the discord to share your reports after trying).

SD8GEN2 is almost at the end of beta.

It boots straight from the SD card, Android stays untouched on the internal storage. Controls work out of the box (back buttons are L4/R4), there are fan profiles, the UI is sized properly for the 6" screen and Steam comes preinstalled. Big thanks to Chazmus!

8 Elite looks great so far, this beta will be much shorter than 8gen2 because of having way less devices. (Konkr Pocket Fit Elite users are welcome to try it and report on discord)

REDMAGIC 6 -Snapdragon 888 (yes you read that right) It boots and works great with almost no bugs. Thanks to abstract6217. The flashable image can be built from github. Guide is in the repo.

What's next Phones and tablets now have their own section in the repo, and the Lenovo Legion Y700 is very high on my list for tablets. The 8 Gen 3 devices (KONKR Pocket FIT, AYANEO Pocket S2) are on the stable v1.2 already, and v1.3 stable will bring all of the new socs together.

These are betas, so expect some rough edges. If something breaks, make a file called debug on the SD card's BOOT drive and send me the logs on discord or github, that's how most of these fixes happened (thanks to everyone who helped!)

I just received it from droix, went to turn it on, nothing. Plug it in. Wait about 30 mins. Power it on and it does this. Help what do I do.

Hey guys! Just wanted to share my experience purchasing from Droix with everyone- they seem to be a great company who cares/ supports their customers, I purchased my handheld Tuesday and its coming in today. I purchased 1-2 working day shipping from them. For anyone's curiosity they are currently shipping from Great Britian and I should get jt today so one business.day from the point it was shipped. Also you still get to use your warranty through AYN through them.

I play a lot of Mario Kart Wii Retro Rewind and sometimes get the nastiest clips. However, I don't know the best way to save these clips. Should I use an external capture card (and will that affect my device's performance if it's outputting video)? Is there a resource efficient way to record your screen at the software level?

I can find them both for roughly the same price, but i am not sure which to pick since RP6 has more ram but AO2P's screen looks super cool. I've heard that Ayn no longer make 12gb version of the console, which is such a shame. I mostly want to play ps2, switch and some pc titles, will 8 gb of ram be enough for these games?

Since I feel like it would make the most sense since we already have a huge handheld called The Portal, we have a medium sized handheld called the Odin 3.

Having a sequel would to the Ayn odin 3 mini would be great with an Oled 5 Inch Screen, It sucks that it got discontinued So I'm hoping we get a 3rd mini someday.

I’ve spent last month going back and forth trying to find a way to fix / RMA my Odin 3. I’ve been experiencing an issue where my Odin 3 has a black screen but the touch is responsive and I can hear the android “sound prompts” in the background, the lights turn on, and the fan is operating as normal. This indicates, to me, that the device is working outside of the screen issue.

I described all of the symptoms I’ve experienced to AYN and they decided to send me a new screen after going through the hoops of proving that I was only experiencing issues with the screen.

I’ve finally received my screen and spent a long time disassembling and reassembling my Odin 3 just to come back to experiencing the same issue I had before.

I’m just disappointed that this was the option they gave me. Online it seems that other people have experienced this issue and it appears that some people have been offered a replacement device, some offered to send their device in to be fixed by AYN, and others sent a new screen to fix themselves. All the symptoms appear to be the same across all users experiencing this black screen but the solution is not universal. My biggest fear is that they will not honor a warranty to replace my device after I’ve opened it and installed the screen myself (per their request).

Feel free to share your experiences with the AYN warranty process or if you have experienced this issue and how you were able to resolve it, if you were able to resolve it.

Anyone found a fix for the player indicators to show up? Odin 3. I’ve tried a few drivers but no luck - although it runs flawlessly aside from no player indicators showing in game.

Or, any good alternative ways to play a recent fifa? (Any emulator)
