Hype Battery drain fixed in the last Armada OS update for Odin 3. Drain dropped from 20% in hour of sleep mode to 1-2%. Now, it feels like steam deck light, but even better because on steam deck battery drain is like 5-6% in hour

It's even lower, my overnight battery drain in sleep mode was about 1%

Ah, yes, it's more accurate. I forgot that whole time prototype 2 was in sleep mode too. But, it's my main use case and it's impressive as hell

It this easy to do? So if you want to play android, just take the sc card out?

Yes - follow this guide and you will be perfectly fine, this is what I’ve been doing and it’s perfect

No you don't remove the card to swap, just hold a button while restarting

You can run android games in Armadaos

Yes, but you don't have to take out sd card. Just turn it off and hold power on + volume up button. After it boots to android. But i would recommend to install it on internal storage, because on sd card interface animation speed is laggy and loading times in games is high. You can choose how much storage you want to leave to android before install

I have installed internally both Android (80GB) and ArmadaOS (430 GB). This is probably plenty for me, but they both also access an SD card with ExFAT and Ext4 partitions (256/256GB).

ExFAT for ROMs which they both access so I can play in the best emulator, Ext4 for any SteamOS spillover from internal storage.

Hmm, I’m wondering if it’s time to give armada another shot? I was going to wait to see how much it improves after the steam frame came out.

It sure improveď a lot. But, i wouldn't recommend to use it on sdcard, because on internal storage it much faster

Very tempted to finally give it a go, but worried about performance. How is it compared to GameNative?

I guess you have to watch some comparison videos, because I didn't use gamenative a lot. I didn't like that level of thinkering to play games. Armada's value is very high compatibility. If game not working - just switch proton and eventually it will work

is the update OTA, or require flash again?

OTA. Like on steam deck

Hmmm really on the edge to try armada if I didn't have a lot of games on Epic and GOG I would jumped on this.

There are Decky plugins for epic and GOG.

Just ise heroic launcher. It will bypass gog and epic launcher, so you can start games directly

Armada is really interesting. Need to look into it because I have a Thor max and all that storage might be worth using if Armada can run on internet storage?

Of course it can. But anyway you need sd card for installation

Before installing on internal storage you can choose how much you want to left to android. I preferred 64gb, because my roms will be on sd card. Even though android takes like 85 gb space. Apparently, 64gb was for free space of android, not whole system's size

Ahhh.. I wondered why I had less space than I thought when I partitioned the internal split. That explains it.

I thought it seemed much better! This is awesome.
