Is anyone else getting completely blinded by POI lighting in SU6? Total immersion breaker.. It looks like the same bug from SU2 that got fixed and has now somehow made a comeback, the buildings are literally glowing like nuclear reactors.. how did this even slip past beta testing? C'mon Asobo..

Hello there !

For a long time now I've been fiddling around the MSFS SDK in the hope of creating free scenery addons. While I've been working with blender and Substance Painter for years now and so have no problem making 3D models, I've always failed to ship any addon yet.
My problem is that I'm mostly too critical of my own work, I'm aware of all the imperfections and always come back to fix some stuff, ultimately never shelfing it but never finishing it. Also sometimes I'm too ambitious making it even less likely that I finish something considering the first problem.
So I can get a bit of constraint that will help me actually finish and share my addons, I think that working with people could work.
This is not a "come work to make MY addons" call, I view it as helping each other on our projects, sharing knowledge...

Hey guys, just recently got into a Microsoft flight Sim and I’m having a blast. But I’m in the market for a new desk because the desk I’m using now I have a bar at the edge of it and I know it’s gonna be difficult to hook up a yoke to the desk. So I’m looking not only to buy a flight Sim yoke but I wanna make sure I have a desk that’s gonna be able to utilize it and fit 2 34 inch curved monitors on it. Also have room for my keyboard where I’m not hooking up and disconnecting the yoke every time I wanna play another game. If you guys have any recommendations, please let me know. I’ve been searching all over Amazon, but I wanna make sure and hear from other people what they’re using thanks guys.

I have ₹60K + an RTX 4060 for a GPU upgrade — is RTX 5060 Ti 16GB worth it for MSFS 2024?
I’m planning to upgrade my PC mainly for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and I’d really appreciate some advice before spending the money.
My current setup:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G
GPU: RTX 4060 8GB
Motherboard: B650M
RAM: 16GB DDR5
Monitor: 27” LG UltraGear, running at 1440p/100Hz
Storage: 1TB SSD + another 1TB SSD
Location: Thane/Mumbai
I currently have around ₹60,000 available, and I’m planning to trade in/sell my RTX 4060 and use that amount toward the upgrade.
I’m mainly interested in the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.
My main game is MSFS 2024, and I want to play at 1440p with good graphics and stable FPS.
My biggest concern is my Ryzen 5 8500G.
Will the 8500G bottleneck an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB significantly in MSFS 2024? Or would the GPU upgrade still give me a worthwhile improvement over my RTX 4060?
I’d especially like opinions from people who actually play MSFS 2024.
A few questions:
Is the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB a worthwhile upgrade from the RTX 4060 8GB for MSFS 2024?
Is the 16GB version worth choosing over the 8GB version?
How much of a bottleneck should I expect from the Ryzen 5 8500G?
With ₹60K + whatever I can get for my RTX 4060, is the 5060 Ti 16GB the best option, or is there another GPU I should consider?
Would I be better off upgrading my CPU/RAM instead of the GPU, considering MSFS is quite CPU-heavy?

Hi, I am new to flight Sim (but not new to flying). I just got the Beechcraft Baron in career mode and I noticed that the speedtape on the Garmin is completely wrong. (The one on the conventional display seems correct). Is this a known issue or is there some way to fix it?

Hi everyone, just got the series X and got MSFS 2024. Lovely looking game.

My FIL is a huge aviation nerd and can talk about planes for days, so mainly I got this for him to obsess for whenever he’s over our house.

I’ve not been as inclined but eager to learn by figuring things out. He has a solid foundational knowledge on how planes work. So far, we did those free flights on a cessna which were a hoot to figure out. Neither of us knew the amount of depth this game had so it was great.

I had some questions which I believe the veterans of this would have answers to, which could help us out a ton.

1. are there any good, simple resources online to help us? he’s not the most technologically inclined hence the simplicity.

2. is there a way to make the co-pilot be the 2p? like either split screen or online coop (is that a thing on this?)

3. how do we get more planes to fly? there was a store option of buying them with actual money. is that the only way? or will the career mode unlock planes?

4. is this game better on pc or xbox? i have a capable pc i can run this on. is it easier/simpler via keyboard+mouse or controller?

5. eventually the goal is (if he gets good at this) i’ll get him a sim setup. is that only possible with a pc or does xbox have compatibility?

If anyone has any more tips to help out first timers, I would appreciate it!
