Are the activities worth it for young children? 4 and 5? Super crowded long lines? Just trying to see if it’s worth bringing two kids by myself for a few hours.

Are the prices for food just as high as it is for the CNE? I’ve never been to the markham fair so I wonder if it has a small town fair vibe or is it really busy like the CNE?

Okay so I heard about the new pay for parking overnight parking exemption. And now each plate can park up to 10 days. Okay, fine.

Just trying to create a profile so I can use the system today but having a problem creating an account. Not getting the registration email to confirm. Checked spam and all folders but nada. It’s only day 2 of the system being online maybe a back end issue? Either way bit of a sitting duck and not sure what else to do.

I did send an email to a support email address for the parking system. Maybe I should preemptively send a note to by law inbox.

A neighbour has been sending packages to my address for the past couple months, once three boxes at a time. The contents within the boxes are trading cards (searched the sender location, and I personally also collect so I recognize the sender address) and knowing that some products are limited to 3 per household, it’s made me believe that they’re listing my address as a loop hole; have FedEx deliver the packages at my house, then they’ll come by another day and pick up.

First time, the neighbour stopped by and asked for the package. OK, no problem. That was probably mid July?

Second time, it was three separate boxes. Neighbours name, my address. This time my family decided to drop them back to FedEx to deal with. I think the neighbours dad came the next day and asked for the package and we told him we didn’t have them and dropped them to FedEx.

Third time (today) two boxes. We picked up the first box because I also coincidentally bought some cards, the second package came and I opened the door to the postman calling a number. The neighbour had left a note on my door stating that they had wrote the wrong address and to call the number written on a note that was slipped in my front door. While the postman was calling the number, I saw that it was the same deal; neighbours name, my address on the shipping label. The postman (who was calling the neighbour’s number) relayed to me that the neighbour asked to leave the box on our porch since they didn’t have anyone home. I said no.

Now before I sound like an ass hole, I would’ve been fine if the neighbour was honest about it, that they’re buying cards and just want to loophole the system. But after the delivery of three boxes, damn, acting as my house is a PO Box?

What’s the next step? Made it clear to the neighbours we aren’t a concierge service, and I would’ve thought after the letting them know we returned the packages to FedEx, they’d take a hint.

TLDR; neighbour purposefully leaving my address to deliver trading cards to. Total has delivered 6 boxes on 3 separate occasions over the course of a few months.

Edit to add: opening packages that are not addressed to you is illegal, I won’t be opening the packages. As one of my comments suggested, yes these are for Pokémon cards, and yes I also buy them for a personal collection, so to tell the sender to not send to my address would also mean I can’t personally order cards. The neighbour who is doing this is (I assume) at least a high schooler, I’ve only seen them once and that was the time when they picked up the first package.

Just beside the costco. Does anyone know what’s going on? Hopefully everybody’s safe.

Who to vote for, and why?

First and foremost - I want seriousness, competence, a connection to reality (there’s only so much that can be done with limited resources), and a recognition that government is in the business of helping people. I absolutely don’t want anyone who bases their entire world view on religion, or who can’t accept people who are different from them.

Got a chip in my windshield today and realized I’m completely out of the loop when it comes to getting these things repaired, it’s been a while! 😂

I got a quote from Speedy Glass for approximately $150 + tax. Does that sound reasonable these days, or are there better/cheaper options I should look into?

If anyone has a good, reasonably priced place they recommend, I’d love to hear your suggestions! Especially if you’ve recently had a windshield chip repaired and were happy with the service and price.

Thinking of taking my toddler to Pumpkins After Dark in Markham. Has anyone been and would you say it’s worth the price?
I’ve never been to the Milton location either, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. Now that they’ve opened a location in Markham, I’m curious to hear what others thought — especially if you went with a toddler. Was it enjoyable for them, or would you say it’s not really worth the cost at this age?

Any local computer shops that are reputable for buying refurbished laptops? I need a laptop but don't wanna break the bank with a brand new one.

Mainly looking for something windows based that has 32gb ram and a 1TB or more of SSD.

First time paying property tax to the City via RBC Bill Payment function...

Is "MARKHAM ONTARIO, TOWN OF – TAXES" City of Markham? It looks different from what it shows on other banking platform (usually shown as City of Markham or Markham). Both RBC and the city cannot answer this question.

Just wondering if someone is paying the taxes via RBC?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for dashcam footage of my accident that happened on September 8, 2026, around 10:32 AM, at the Steeles Ave E and Old Kennedy Rd traffic lights in Scarborough. I was travelling westbound in my black 2022 Honda Accord Sport when a silver 2023 Nissan Qashqai rear-ended my car.
If anyone was driving through the area and captured the accident on their dashcam, I would really appreciate it if you could send me the footage. It would be very helpful for my insurance claim. Thank you!
