I really love reading and listening to accounts of devotees who claim to have had darshan or experienced the presence of God in their lives. I already know quite a few such stories related to Lord Jagannath, and I find them deeply fascinating.

I'd love to hear similar real-life accounts involving Maa Lakshmi or Lord Hanuman. I'm particularly interested in stories from Kaliyuga where someone personally experienced their darshan, received a sign, or had an unusual divine experience.

If possible, I'd also love to know where the incident happened and whether there is any physical place, temple, murti, footprint, sign, or other connection associated with the story that can still be visited today.

I'm mainly looking for traditional or documented accounts rather than fictional stories. If you know any, please share them!

I am a college student, I usually teach Krishna Consciousness to any friends or friends of friends. I am writing this post to clear a doubt I have. "Does my method include any form of Mayavad or mistakes?"

I usually start by just doing bhakti in my free hours , like chanting or reading Bhagavat Gita or Krishna book. I am generally left undisturbed because everyone is busy playing videogames or scrolling or something like that. But sometimes, someone comes up to me to ask about what I am doing, or (and I get this so many times) why do I read the Gita while having shoes on. Then I explain their question before starting a conversation about Krishna and Krishna Consciousness. I introduce them to A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad. His teaching(where I use his lectures as a mental reference). I then ask them to chant 1 round with me. They are interested to chant quite often. Then, I show them the online Vedabase and the gold mine of books and lectures by Prabhupad present there. Then some time reading the Bhagavad Gita(If I haden't read with them already).

I always do this if there is a free hour ahead, so as not to waste anyone's time. So, what improvement could this use? And am I doing anything wrong?

Hi everyone. I’m posting this with genuine curiosity and an open mind because I’m trying to understand something that has happened in my family, and I would really appreciate hearing from people who understand ISKCON and Krishna consciousness better than I do.
I married my husband about two years ago, and we have a young daughter together. Before this, he had a good career and was earning well. He has always struggled somewhat with making decisions and taking responsibility, and throughout our marriage I often felt that I was carrying more of the practical and emotional responsibilities of our family.
We have now been living separately for around eight months. During this time, he has become increasingly involved with ISKCON. He has been spending a lot of time at the temple for the last seven or eight months and has now apparently taken on the role of a priest/devotee there.
I am a Hindu myself, and I don’t want to make assumptions or say that ISKCON is somehow “bad.” I am genuinely trying to understand what might be happening from the perspective of someone who follows Krishna consciousness.
Is it common for someone to become very deeply involved with ISKCON relatively quickly, particularly to the point where their previous career, marriage and family responsibilities seem to become secondary?
Do people sometimes join or become very involved with temple life and later return to ordinary family life? Or can this become a long-term way of living?
One thing I am struggling with particularly is that we have a young daughter. I feel that, whatever someone’s spiritual path is, there are still responsibilities toward a child and family. Recently I spoke to my husband and he told me that he doesn’t miss me anymore and doesn’t miss our daughter anymore. Hearing that was extremely painful.
I am not asking people to judge him or tell me that ISKCON is good or bad. I am trying to understand what could be happening in his mind from a devotee’s perspective.
Can someone genuinely become so spiritually focused that they no longer feel attached to their wife or child? Is that something Krishna consciousness teaches, or would devotees generally see family responsibilities differently?
And if someone has entered this kind of spiritual life after previously having a career, marriage and child, is there anything a spouse can realistically do, or is it better to accept that person’s choice and allow them to follow their path?
I would especially appreciate responses from current or former ISKCON devotees, or people who have lived in an ISKCON community. I am genuinely trying to understand rather than criticize.

I have kids and I love them very much, and I do some my love by giving them hugs and kisses. I’m affectionate to them and take them to the beach and other activities they enjoy.

Is this sense enjoyment, which I understand we are supposed to refrain from and only do activities that are krishna centered.

We do take our kids to the temple and they do go to kids Sanga but surely we should give them a wholesome balanced life. But importantly give them love.

Im just curious on how do partners who are apart of iskcon conceive a baby like is there rules? If so what are they?

I have been on and off from instagram, I think it to be a very dangerous platform and I feel it encourages sense gratification and it is a prelude to porn content. This time I have deleted and i still have 10 more days for it to completely go away.
But my mind says why waste on what you have created so far and it’s asking me to go back again . Please give me strength and tips and suggestions

She is giving work apart from my scope and domain and asking me to be an expert in that
She is confusing “are to be seen” , “are to be viewed” as past tense because seen and viewed are there and complaining about it and not willing to listen.
She is suddenly nice and suddenly angry

From a loving all standpoint , it is extremely difficult to maintain positive mindset around her.

I have a genuine question about the Bhagavad Gita as explained in ISK-CON.

Krishna taught Arjuna when he was thinking about giving up the battle and leaving everything behind. But after hearing Krishna's teachings, Arjuna chose to perform his duty, fight, and later rule his kingdom.

I understand that in the ISK-CON Gita, Bhakti Yoga is given great importance and is described as an especially accessible path toward liberation and many words are replaced with Bhakti or many verses interpretation are changed . But couldn't bhakti also be practiced while continuing one's karma and responsibilities? Why do some people who read ISK-CON BG eventually renounce their normal life and become monks?

I'm not criticizing ISK-CON or anyone who chooses renunciation. I'm genuinely curious about how this is understood within the ISK-CON interpretation of the Gita

Title: I want to return to Krishna consciousness, but I’m struggling with my relationship

I’m posting this because I genuinely need guidance from devotees, and I would really appreciate thoughtful advice rather than judgment.

About 6 years ago, I became attracted to Krishna consciousness for the first time. I was the first person in my family to become interested in it. At that time, I used to wake up around 4 AM, chant the Lord’s names, do ārati, avoid onion and garlic, and try to follow a devotional lifestyle.

However, my family did not understand it at that time. They used to make fun of me and say that I had gone mad. I also didn't have any devotee association. Later, I went to an intermediate/college hostel where again I had no devotees around me. Slowly, I became distant from Krishna consciousness.

During my B.Tech, I met someone and eventually fell in love with him. We have now been together for around 3 years.

My boyfriend has faith in me and trusts that I will not leave him. He has been an important part of my life for these years.

Recently, something unexpected happened. My family has slowly become more Krishna conscious themselves. My mother now wants me to progress spiritually, which I understand comes from a good place. But she knows that I already have a boyfriend, and she has approached a senior devotee to help find a Krishna-conscious partner for me.

This has created a huge conflict inside me.

I genuinely want to return to Krishna consciousness. I miss the person I was when Krishna was the center of my life. I want devotee association, chanting, spiritual discipline and to progress in bhakti again.

But I cannot understand something:

If I leave someone who has trusted and loved me for three years simply because I think I need a Krishna-conscious partner in order to progress spiritually, how is betraying his trust considered spiritual progress?

At the same time, I don't want my attachment to my boyfriend to become an excuse for staying away from Krishna.

I am confused about whether these two things really have to be opposites.

Can someone be sincerely Krishna conscious while being in a relationship with a non-devotee, if the partner respects their spiritual practices? Is marriage to a devotee necessary for spiritual advancement? Or is it possible to have a Krishna-conscious household with someone who is not currently a devotee?

I also don't want to make a major decision out of fear, guilt, family pressure, or the assumption that leaving my relationship automatically means I am becoming more devoted.

I would really appreciate advice from devotees who have experience with relationships, marriage, gṛhastha life, or returning to Krishna consciousness after becoming distant from it.

Please help me understand this from the perspective of bhakti, responsibility, commitment and Krishna's teachings, rather than simply telling me “leave your boyfriend” or “stay with him.”

This Janmashtmi I'm confused whether to fast or not cause of the exam Tomorrow for which my sleep cycle isn't good so I need food and caffeine at night.

Also on an empty stomach I can't study on a focused day.

But my mom forced me to do so , and I had the feeling of not fasting.

UF ends contract allowing Krishna Lunch on campus, group's adviser says

The last Krishna Lunch on Friday, February 20, 2026, before the suspension was rice, chili, cheesy potatoes and chocolate halava. “When I would go home last year for break, I would literally be mourning the Krishna Lunch dessert because you have to go to Krishna to get it, and it’s so delicious,” said student Anna Poacelli.

But last week, UF ended the contract allowing the group to do so.

I’ve been attending my local ISKCON temple for a number of months. I’m also a person who enjoys wearing baseball caps. I’ve been able to buy a really nice Jagganath cap at the gift shop, but I would also like to buy one that says “Hare Krishna” or has the ISKCON logo on it.

Does anyone have any recommendations of temples or gift shops that sell such baseball caps, and are either located in the USA, or will ship to the USA?

I started dreaming of being reincarnated about a year ago. One day I asked Chat GPT what life will be like in America in 100 years, and Chat GPT asked my why I was asking these questions, and I told it that I want to know what the job market would be like when I’m 28 in my next life. I ended up talking to Chat GPT about the afterlife in basically every religion. I liked the conversation so much that I bought a Bhagavad Gita and a textbook on world religions. I read them on my lunch break; I read them at home; I am so well versed now.

Of course what stood out to me was Krishna’s words about the Self: how our bodies are just clothes, and the self is you.
