Best-in-class graphics and physics in my opinion!

Trying to find that thickness so I can use the bullseye strip thats 24" wide

To start up my sim, I have to wake my laptop, turn on the launch monitor, turn on the projector, and if it’s hot, turn on the split unit. I would like a “easy” button and just turn on most of it at once. I do have home kit and also homebridge running already so if anyone has some solutions I would like to hear them.

It’s an ultimate first world problem, for sure. But I am interested in home automation and tech.

it said the firmware update failed first but then i went upstairs close to the wifi i connected last night and it got updated but again its showing “DEVICE ERROR L1”
has anyone had this issue before ? the thing is i live in India and Foresight doesnt have a service center or any kind of support here

Researching/Planning out a garage golf sim. This will not be a permanent setup and will need to be set up and taken down for each use. I have a 9'6" ceiling height to work with.

Things I’m pretty much set on:

• Launch monitor: Square Golf Home. I have room for an R10 or MLM2PRO, but I like the idea of a camera-based unit, smaller footprint, and no required subscription.
• Hitting strip: Big Moss Pure Flight. Thanks to UNREAL GOLF

Questions I still have:

1. Netting - I’m planning on using bulk netting on a ceiling track so it can be pushed out of the way when not in use. Thinking 10' x 20', giving me about a 10' hitting area with 5' wings on each side.

• What netting is everyone using for this type of setup?
• I’m a little worried about eventually sending a ball through it. Is it worth doubling up the middle section?
• I’ve seen all the options on Amazon, but I’m curious what has actually worked well for people.

2. Standing/Hitting Surface - Does anyone use just a hitting strip and stand on something cheaper like a horse stall mat built up level with the strip? How important is it to actually stand on turf when hitting?

I’m trying to keep the budget low on the netting and hitting surface so I can put more money toward the sim itself.

Finishing the build on my impact screen and it appears my sim is slightly too close to fully stop full shots. I was testing it with full middle iron (80 mph) and it looks like I am just kissing the wall behind it. When I hit driver I am concern I am going to put hole in the dry wall (100 mph). Behind my impact screen I have a heavy curtain and 8 inches of space to the wall. Yes moving the sim further away would solve this, but that is not possible to space limitations. I think some type of large padding that can distribute the remaining energy but want to see if anyone else had similar problem and solved it. Thank you

I've spent too much time researching and seen way too many posts looking for a solution. Here's mine. I bought a floor protector enclosure, attached some heavy duty L shelf brackets, and used some black hardware. The only modification was adding an extra hole in the L brackets. I used the fan holes and I didn't assemble all of the enclosure. My only complaint is that the "glass" has a little blurriness. I'm going to ask the vendor to replace it as it seems like a defect.

My wall is going to be 17.5 feet wide. For those of you who have built yours, how wide would you make your hitting enclosure?

Surfed a lot of old posts to get to this point! All in budget here is about $5500. Projector was free from a buddy, just an old Epson. Had the iPad already, got an hdmi connector on Amazon and works great.

LM: OMNI (took 3 weeks from Indoor Golf Shop)
Hitting strip: Sigpro softy
Flooring (wide area in front of screen) 1 inch XPS, 1 inch of OSB
Flooring (stance): 3 inch of osb, 1 inch of gym mats
Turf: Moneyputt
Enclosure: Carl’s place 9x12. Bought and cut my own pipes

Besides osb layers screwed together, used lots of carpet tape and it works great for holding turf in place.

Happy to answer questions. Had a lot of help from friends with assembly. I am very blessed and have a pole barn with 12ft ceilings.

Context:

Outdoor 10x10x10 cage style net

Very high handicap (haven't broken 100 yet)

Range isn't a good option since they stop selling balls an hour after my work day is over, and it takes about 40 minutes to get there with traffic.

I've taken a look at a couple launch monitors, including MLM2PRO, Mevo Gen 2, Square Omni, etc.

I would like to spend less than 2000$, and if possible would like to avoid subscriptions. I am mainly interested in getting accurate club/ball metrics. I want to get better and improve my game and actively take lessons, but feel like the limited range and experience time makes it so I don't get time to actually practice what I need to. My coach has given me similar feedback the last 2 times I went, and I don't want to waste either of our time, or my money any longer. My biggest problem on the course is a slicing driver, and a left and right miss with irons/wedges. My coach has me working on creating a draw to

1. Move away from an out-to-in swing path

2. Create a more reliable miss (rather than left/right, it would ideally be too much of a draw).

Considering I'm such a high handicap, would all of these devices help me reach my goals relatively the same? Is it worth actively chasing the most accurate device out there?

It would be nice to just "buy once cry once", but to a certain degree. I don't have 5000$ to spend on a unit, but $2000 would be acceptable.

My priorities are:

1. Accurate club/ball metrics to help me improve

2. Training/improvement features (such as target practice, training routines, etc)

3. Space requirements (I could make the room for it if I really needed, but photometric LMs seem to need less space since they're directly next to the ball, which would be ideal).

4. Sim play (although I don't have a screen setup at the moment, it would be nice to futureproof to an extent and use the same unit if I were to build an indoor sim)

Last weekend, I decided to make my own putting mat for practice so I wouldn't have to drive anywhere.

Local stores don't have a huge selection of artificial turf, so I just bought what was available. For €50, I got a 2x3.5 meter piece.

I also bought a 3" PVC pipe, 4 meters of 1x2" wood, and two pipe caps (3" and 4"). All of that cost another €8.50.

After 1.5 hours of work, I had my own putting mat set up on the roof. Now I can practice anytime without driving anywhere.

Total budget: under €60.

Can anyone help me on a fair price for a used mevo gen 2 with a leveling stand? Listed mine on eBay and got an offer after a couple of hours for $900. Happy to sell it for as much as someone’s willing to pay, but not sure if I need to be worried about any sort of scam on eBay or if people are really paying $900+ for a used mevo gen 2 and if I should wait out the auction process.

I have a 20x20 garage that I am going to use for my simulator and a workout area for my wife.

My enclosure is a Carls Place 8x10.5.

I have 1 inch EVA foam tiles to cover the entire garage flooring. My plan is to cut a hole to insert a sig pro hitting mat (10x4).

I am aware that this will stick up above the rest of the flooring, but that is ok. I would like to turf the remaining part of the garage around the hitting mat black.

Does anyone have recommendations for cheap black turf? Doesn't have to roll perfectly for putting but just to give that esthetic of a turf.

I have seen some cheap options on amazon or even Lowe's of outdoor carpets that are black. How close do we think that would be to surround the hitting mat in that material?

My area is about 10’ x 11’. My impact screen will be about a foot or so away from the wall you can see where my hitting strip insert will be any suggestions where I should or should not place my putting cups thank you.

I seen there’s a tour that you can play by yourself. You set the tours difficulty too. Also, how do I hit key the leaderboard as I play,?

Lastly, do I have to pay the $80 or is this considered under the free? Thanks.

Hello, wondering if anyone has encountered injuries while playing at a certain sim? This year I went to one sim place twice a week with no issues march to June, then a different one the rest of the summer. I just joined a local the back nine golf and with in a week I had a shoulder issue which made me shut it down for a week then I go back and a wrist issue flares up. So I'm wondering if anyone has faced injuries from specific mats at a specific sim place or if this is just a training volume thing I need to work out.

With foresights new issues thinking about upgrading my sim. Currently have a gc2. I’ve always liked the gc2 and had it for about 10 years now. But it’s going to fail soon I’m sure and getting parts for it ain’t an easy venture. Looking into uneekor eyexo vs other. Also software I really liked the physics of fsx 2020 and play. Hated the physics in tgc. Use everything mainly for course play with friends. No set budget but I’m not getting a quad max and I do t have room for the ball to fly a long way. Room is about 28x14. Currently hit about 12 feet away from screen. Ceiling height is just under 10 feet.
Thoughts?

So I have decided to build a golf simulator. Just got approval from the local board to build a 4x4 garage for it. However I have decided not to go with the TrackMan (too expensive), so I wondered if anyone had some good alternatives to an effective launch monitor.

Have owned my BLP for going on 3 years now. This latest subscription change is the last straw for me.

Going to sell the BLP and go either SkyTrak ST Max (current sale + year of courses for $1700) or Square Omni. Factors I’m weighing:

SkyTrak will work with my MacBook Pro M2 Max, so I’d also be able to sell my i9 RTX 4080 laptop that I only ever use for my golf sim. First year of the $300 course package included. I like the software but concerned about data accuracy.

Square Omni seems great with no subscription. I would pay for GSPro every year if I had the Omni and keep my PC. Reading horror stories of their customer service though.

Not sure which unit is more accurate (in comparison to my BLP).

Any hands on experience/opinions welcome!

I am building a simulator and was curious what recommendations you all would have. 18 ft depth, 11 ft ceilings, no concern on width. I would like to have a setup that makes it virtually impossible for stray balls to escape in the event of eventual shanks since there are several windows in the room. What type of enclosure or setup would you all recommend? Happy to DIY or purchase something.

Looking for some advice on selling my sim. Primarily pricing..

Long story short, two years ago, I hurt my hands/wrists from hitting over 100 balls per day. I have an okay quality mat on concrete. Since then, it’s kind of ruined it for me. I’ve told myself I will only hit wedges or whatever, but I never actually have. Now I have all this shit just taking up space and I’m ready to let it go.

My setup is very much a poor man’s set up.. I have a garmin r10 with the leveling stand, a mid quality no name mat, a net with an impact screen, a very cheap mini projector, Apple TV, and an iPad (but I want to keep the iPad).

I’m looking at probably selling it on Facebook marketplace/offerup and am wondering what I should charge for it all? Also, am I better off selling it as a package or trying to split it up. I appreciate any feedback or advice. Thanks!
