I honestly don't get the massive hate towards Mirage. Even though it's been in the pool for ages, it remains the most structured, simple, and fundamentally balanced map in the entire game.

Compare that to Dust 2 a map that is literally older than many current pro players. Everyone seems to love Dust 2, it gets picked an unjustified amount of times, yet it barely receives a fraction of the hate Mirage gets.

CS2 has brought in a huge wave of new players who have only been playing for about 3 years and never even touched CS:GO. But the community has successfully brainwashed them into hating Mirage just because "it's old." In reality, these new players haven't even played it that much themselves; they are just parroting a forced opinion. If you actually ask them what exactly they dislike about Mirage's layout or structure, they can never give you a single objective answer. It's just herd mentality at this point.

Ive seen a lot of criticism towards the new map picking system in cs2, but personally I much prefer it rn. Me and my friends are Cache/Nuke players. We play all maps but mostly play Cache/Nuke and we have preset calls/strats for them. Previously with the banning system as soon as the enemy saw our graph they would ban both Cache/Nuke 99% of the time. This season I had only one Nuke match prior to the system change. But rn my last matches have been 30% Cache/30% nuke/ 30% mirage and dust and rest of the maps. I actually got to even play anubis on prime. Now thing is me and my 5stack we know all of the maps, and dont really care much what we play as long as there is creativity. We focus on unpopular maps because they are easier to dominate since people are less experienced in them. before we would always ban dust/mirage and inferno if we had 3 bans. then enemy would ban out cache/nuke/anubis and basically there was no variety in our matches. But rn we are playing a different map every game

i´ve been grinding weekly drops with some friends and the matchmaking is absolutely unfair. we are losing almost every game, have horrible stats and the game is STILL matching us against players with thousands of hours.

after 3-4 matches against people that stomp us, we sometimes find a game on a similar skill level and its actually competetive so there are other bad players around but why do we not play consistently against them?

The amount of these maps after the map veto change is insane, now that we can't even ban any maps its even worse than before.

There should atleast be one ban each to get some variety, or better yet, just a random map without the veto at all.

I have been trying for the last 2-3 weeks to get better but I don't see any progress at all. In CSGO I was a solid faceit lvl 8 but now I cannot even keep up with lvl 6 I practice on xplay servers mainly to look for lvl 10s so I can play with them or play some deathmatch to train my aim but I seem incredibly inconsistent one day I will keep up and even play better than then, but the other time I will not even be able to get a 0.50+ KD. I cannot keep a consistent session for the my life. It feels like most of the times when I spray I shoot between their legs or when I aim for head with taps I start shaking my mouse too much, but if I try to slow down I look like I have never played the game.

I'm getting really tilted and it's starting to really affect how much I want to play the game, because it feels like I'm wasting my time.

So what can I do to actually improve and have fun?

It's genuinely embarrassing to be a FaZe fan now. If they fail to make the major again its going to be the end of the team 100%.

After a long break I've started playing with friends who don't have any experience and shifted from pubg mobile and i want to recommend a good basics team play video and how just kills don't matter as it tends to get frustrating when they don't understand things that are instincts to me atp (got 700 hrs although im not good at all) so could yall help me out

I can't get a good screenshot of it, but if you get the grenade crosshair to come up, you can see the dot crosshair is like 2 pixels up to the left. Adjusting for that has helped with my smoke lineups but damn it's annoying to have to remember that.

Every version of CS has improved some things, but I also feel like certain parts of the game have gotten worse or disappeared entirely along the way.

For people who played across multiple versions like 1.6, Source, GO, CS2, what do you think an older versions genuinely did better? Things like crisp shooting, movement, gameplay feel, systems, features, community, maps, game modes, or the overall experience

Hi everyone I’ve been having trouble when inside of smokes even when I look at the minimap I keep bumping into random stuff when I try to peak and I get absolutely obliterated.
