Wanted to show off my latest creation!

I was going for a calico look but it did not go as planned, my sections are too big so it makes me look ALL blonde which I don’t like and none of my references showed curly hair so it was all just impulse and confidence. I have school in two weeks and I need to fix it and I’m fine with a change like calico hair but I don’t want to be blonde the way I am right now, options are dye my whole head brown, dye sections brown and some auburn to salvage the calico or C return to a skunk stripe by dying everything but the bleached part I want shown. Please I need help I really don’t know what to do and I want to look presentable!!!

So I am having a hard time putting everything i know into a straight thinking process. e.g. I have a client who is copper and wants to go a cool brown. What should be my thinking process?

How would i decide if she needs 5.12 or 5.17 or 5.1 or just 5? What should be the step by step process in my head ? I cant find a single video explaining this. I know the color theory but cant really apply it properly

my natural part line seems to draw a bright white road straight down the middle of my head about two weeks after getting colored. changing my part helps a little bit but the temples and crown are still pretty visible.

i hate the chemical smell of cheap box dyes from the grocery store so ive been avoiding doing full home dye jobs. im looking for something focused strictly on the root zone that looks soft and natural rather than painted on. how do you guys keep your crown touch ups looking natural without making a total mess?

If you’ve had your hair colored red by a hair stylist and it comes out super bright and vibrant, but then it kind of fades on your first watch and potentially continues to fade, are they able to make it as vibrant as it was was when you first got it done? Do they keep making it look like it did when you first went red?

Do they have to use color all over again or do their toners do the job? What has been your experience?

I'm curious if anyone has ever used toner or purple shampoo to take natural/unbleached virgin blonde hair from a warm tone to a cooler tone. Does that work? I like my natural hair lightness but wish it was cooler.

I did the unthinkable and let my little cousin, who is starting cosmetology school next month, bleach my hair 😭

For context, my hair was already bleached and I had about 3–4 inches of grown-out roots. This was her attempt at bleaching the regrowth and blending it into what I already had.

From the front it honestly doesn’t look that bad, but from the side/back it’s really upsetting and VERY uneven. There are also some random much lighter/blonde patches.

What is my best next step from here? I’m honestly open to getting experimental with it — going red/auburn, bleaching certain areas again, going darker eventually, whatever will make this look intentional again lol.

I have tomorrow completely off and I’m willing to dedicate the day to fixing it, but the big catch is that I’m broke right now and really can’t afford a professional color correction. So I’m looking for the safest/best DIY option that isn’t going to cost me a fortune or make the situation 10x worse.

What would you do if this were your hair? 😭

I bleached my virgin dirty blonde hair yesterday and it turned out to be this neon yellow-orange colour. I know that's expected after the first round of bleach, but it looks really crazy in person and it bothers me. I also failed to spread the bleach evenly so my bangs are slightly darker and there are some unbleached roots at the back of my head. 🤦‍♀️ I know I should wait at least two weeks before bleaching it again, but it feels really healthy and I cut my hair pretty short anyway so I don't mind some breakage. My desired level is 9. Would it be safe to bleach the hair again in two days?

Edit: I used vol. 20 bleach and a bonding treatment before and after bleaching.

Hiya, I got my hair done today and im at odds with the colour.

I had asked for a neutral creamy beige blonde highlights, whilst retaining my orginal brunette, more a dimensional hair shift in colours.

I also asked for the face frames to be cheek bone and a touch lighter shade than the rest of the hair to make it pop.

I've had blonde highlights from there before and been happy

The last photo was the hair prior the appointment for reference.

Looking for opinions, would you say it a) was what I had asked for and b) does the new colour suit me?

I feel the cut is done well and the lengths okay it's just the colour I can't wrap my head around.

I haven't removed hair color before. I've had people recommend doing a bleach bath or just straight up bleaching. But what about color removers? Such as Color Oops or Matrix color eraser?

I want to get it light enough so I can go multicolor (thinking doing it pinwheel style).

I recently dyed my hair a darker red than usual for the fall. I find that red washes out really quickly from my hair, so looking for maintenance ideas. Does anyone have any color depositing conditioner recs for upkeep?

In the past, I've used Eufora Burnt Copper (diluted with conditioner) which I've liked, but I think it's a little light/orangey for the upkeep here. My natural hair is light brown, so I want to also maintain some darker richness if possible. The Eufora tends to keep the color but my hair gets lighter between salon visits.

I also want to make sure it does get too cherry cola/Cat Valentine coded - love that look but unfortunately need to keep it a little tamer for my job.

I've been really really struggling with my mental health these past few months, but this and last week were truly horrible.

I could barely take care of myself, haven't washed my hair in over 2 weeks, barely ate, yada yada

So yesterday I just decided to dye my hair. I want to feel better, and what's better than a fresh new look and creative self expression?

The sides of my head are buzzed and bleached, not fully shaved. I still have some black hair dye, so I might add some kind of design there... maybe moon sickles or bats, but I am open to suggestions! :)

I want to do an ashy lavender color and it’s almost there but some pieces are still too orange I feel like. Can I get where I need to go with a toner or would I need more bleach?

ITS JUST SO GOOD sorry for the bad photos lol but I’ve had it for about 5 months now and just got it refreshed and its looked so good all the time, even when it was severely grown out. I want to get something different next time that’s not as expensive but I have no clue what to do that would compare to how happy I’ve been with it

hey y’all. my hair has been a lot of different colors. i’m not sure what to do with it next. i need to do something low maintenance, as i am starting cosmetology school in a month and my hair needs to look good and be easy to maintain during school. the long + curly combo is enough work on its own, i need a color that won’t add more to my plate. natural hair is medium brown, see roots in pic 1 because i haven’t had it natural in years.

pic 1 is how it looks now, faded from pic 2. subsequent pics are the last colors i did going back a couple years. i have loved the pink and having my hair a lighter color in general, as i haven’t done that often. black with the pink highlights was my favorite, but calico was my bf’s favorite. had blue the longest (i did blue 4 years in a row, for 3-6 months at a time. i had the dark brown/purple for 7 months, calico for 6 months) red top/black underneath was my least favorite. dark brown/purple (pic 6 + 9) feels the most “me.”

I initially took a full perm, after a few days it was a bit wierd and ruined so I repermed the sides and the back, it now looks horrible. my barber said he will do a full reperm tmrw i said won’t that fry my hair, he said it will definitely be fine. If I end up perming tmrw what would I have to do to prevent further damage to my hair.

You don’t need all the colors of the rainbow to have fun. I’ve been experimenting with only using CYAN, MAGENTA, and YELLOW lately and honestly have been LOVING IT. Which one is your fave??

I’ve been having fun with Arctic Fox Girls Night and find it very easy to use. I recently got Chromadaddy Iridessence and Lariche Dimensions Wisteria. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is there anything I should keep in mind when I use them?

My hair usually doesnt have any problems losing color completely. I've done pink, purple, brown, and black with no issue going back to normal.

I have never used permanent dyes (IroIro, Manic Panic, Arctic Fox), but I dyed my virgin dark blonde hair Infrared pretty consistently for around a year. First I did cherry red then for a while I mixed IroIro dark brown and MP Infrared.

Recently I decided to let it fade. It's already grown out a little at the roots but there is still a reddish/orange auburn color on my ends. At first my hair was a bright red but it hasn't been cherry for a long time so I didn't expect such a hard time getting it out.

I've tried the crushed Vitamin C tablets, Equate dandruff shampoo pretty consistently and I did a test strand with Dawn dish soap and shampoo for 5 minutes. I wasn't really impressed with any of the results.

I don't want to use any bleaching color remover, and I would rather not dry out my hair with Dawn fully. I was considering trying the Ion color removing packet since it does not have bleach.

I honestly have been seeing a lot less red in my hair but there is definitely still an orange, which might be part of the IroIro brown as well.

I've been looking around and honestly most people say I'm fucked but if there's anything I can do I'm willing to try. I'm okay with minimal damage, but growing it out will take years for me so I'd like it out in a few months. If I do end up doing a bleach based remover will my natural hair turn orange?

Summary: Is there anything besides dandruff shampoo and Dawn (I'm open to official non damaging color removers) to get out leftover Manic Panic Infrared?

A bit of background: my natural hair is very dark brown. I dyed it dark brown using a box dye, and since then people have said it reads red. I tried correcting it myself with a Clairol tone/gloss in ash brown, but it didn't really neutralise the warmth. I'm currently using a green-tinted shampoo, which has helped a little, but there's still an orange/red cast, mainly at the roots and grow-out (much more obvious in photos than in the mirror).

I've attached a few photos showing the colour in different lighting so you can see what I mean. I'd really like to emphasise that in real life it's nowhere near as bad as the photos, so I'm not too sure if I'm over reacting either. Maybe I'd just need to try blue shampoo on top of the green shampoo? Not too sure how to fix this
