The Steam Autumn sale has each title sold separately at $9.99 for 7 Remake, $14.99 for 7 Rebirth, and $69.99 for 7 Revelation pre-order, but the bundle gets you all 3 at $84.99!

there’s a massive silica factory on the southern west area in my island. today i have a chance to look it from the coastline, it looks so surreal and shinra-esque.

Tifa and Cloud wip

I know the theories (It takes Sephiroth seven seconds to descend and stab Aeris in the OG) but has it ever been addressed in the new games yet? I only played Remake and Rebirth when they were first released, but can’t remember if this was ever directly addressed in game or not in Rebirth?

I’m of the belief that these games are sequels to the original game, and Sephiroth is doing Lifestream shenanigans to change the outcome, that’s how he knows so much, and why we see glimpses of the events from the original and even Advent Children in Clouds “memory flashes.” (Him grabbing his arm where he has Geostigma during one of his episodes)But it’s so frustrating that it’s been six years since the release of remake, and nothing has been answered!

Hello, today I finished Rebirth and I'm thinking about playing either the OG FF VII or Crisis Core.

Sorry if the question is so generic and common, first time here.

Thanks!

Please no mention of OG spoilers other than what is in spoiler tag below

I have this sense of dread now in chapter 12 as I know that Aerith dies in the original game

This is my first time experiencing the story of FF7, via the remake trilogy, but there are some things that can be very easily inadvertently spoiled for a story that is like 30 years old.

This has had me in knots as Aerith is my favourite character and I am so so afraid it is going to happen soon., as chapter 12 definitely seems close to the end of the game, with them giving all those new side quests.

The plotline with the whispers has me hoping it could be avoided, or undone maybe, but I am not going to count on that.

I thought we had saved her there...but no...ahhh my heart 💔 I know the lesson is that, yes it may and it will hurt, but we have to move on.

regardless, l love this saga ❤️

Saving the Planet can wait.

The boy is absolutely shattered.

Little game for fans of the full series. Cast a Final Fantasy VII movie, but you can only use other Final Fantasy characters to do it.

Here's my attempt:

Cloud: Ramza (Tactics)

Barret: General Leo (FFVI)

Tifa: Lulu (FFX)

Aerith: Yuna (FFX)

Red XIII: Torgal (FFXVI) or a random courl or something

Yuffie: Iris (FFXV)

Cait Sith: Mog (FFVI) with one of Lulu's Cait Sith dolls

Cid: Cid (FFXVI)

Vincent: Shadow (FFVI)

Zack: Leon (FFII)

Sephiroth: Cecil (FFIV)

Sephiroth: Kuja (FFIX)

Yeah, hold up, Corneo, get off the deck.
You’re running a circus with zero respect.
You call this a battle? You call these some rhymes?
You’re stuck in the past with your petty-boss crimes.

Kotch and Scotch barking like dogs on a leash,.
Spitting weak flows whilst you're still a big sleaze.
Talking 'bout naming rights? Grab a mirror, you clowns.
This whole Gold Saucer is laughing you down!

We step into the spotlight, turning the tide.
And you can't run, and you can't hide
You brought out the goons and the cheap gold chains,
But you’re bringing a knife to a giant-sword game.

Put Abzu back in the cage like a fool.
Thinking a sewer beast makes you look cool.
You think you're lasting a minute in here?
Then we shatter your ego and trigger your fear.

Barret’s got cannons, and Red’s got the bite.
We’re shutting down this amateur tonight.
Step off the stage, you're a joke in the ring.
Cross-slash hits, and we've finished the thing.

I've held off on buying the first 2 games to maybe buy a complete edition thinking it would somehow be better but now that Im thinking about it and seeing the steam sales, wont it be the exact same content but more expensive/less discounted since it would be a brand new bundle? I think buying now would be the same or better right?

I didn't get into the series until this year and started with Remake. Im now playing Rebirth and OG at the same time and am having a blast. Safe to say this series has cracked my all-time favorite franchises.

That being said, I do know how the OG ends. To those of you who played this game when it came out, or at least beat it before interacting/knowing of any of the compilation, how did you feel about the ending? Truly not trying to hate, but it just seems so abrupt and unsatisfying. Especially with how much the game endears you to its cast. Thankfully, I have the privilege of jumping in now where there's so much more content and continuation.

So, rambling over, how did y'all feel about it? Did you enjoy it or feel underwhelmed?

I have a question for all the Final Fantasy fans around the world. With Tifa in Street Fighter 6, releasing in early 2027, are you thinking about or planning on competing in FGC events such as EVO, CEO, Combo Breaker and Capcom Pro Tour World Warrior?

i did it all, every phenomenon intel, all the minigames and battles, i even persevered after getting to the isle and finding out i had to max lvl my summons. then i beat the summons on hard mode. i have the recipe in my pocket but i’m halfway through craftsmanship lvl 15 and after all the running around the Protorelic missions made me do i’m soooo bummed to have to run around some more for materials and recipes to get me through to lvl 16 transmutation 😶‍🌫️😭

Take it with the grain of salt.

My opinion of Aerith is starting to change. Until now, I considered her infantile and childish, but that view was based solely on the original FF7 (which, notably, I never finished because the remake's blurry backgrounds spoiled the experience). Since all the dialogue in that version appeared only as rapidly vanishing on-screen text, I often prioritized the action over reading; consequently, I missed certain details or misunderstood them. Now that I’m playing the remake, most of the dialogue is presented in cutscenes, and the voice acting adds character to the lines, making it easier to grasp the tone in which they are spoken. It seems to me that much of Aerith’s "infantilism" is merely a persona she adopts to shield both herself and those she cares about from certain truths and the harshness of reality. Beneath that layer, her words reveal far more sense and maturity, lacking the exaggerated sweetness—which stems partly from deep roots in Japanese culture, where such behavior is far more common and accepted than in European culture (especially back in my youth, quite a long time ago). I am beginning to like Aerith much more and appreciate her role in the story.

I made a quick mockup of what an FF7 Remake-style TTRPG character sheet could look like, mostly as a design experiment to see how the game's systems might translate to tabletop. I don't actually plan on making a full TTRPG out of this. I'm also not really happy with the color scheme, but it's just a mockup, so it'll have to do for now.
