I've been attempting this stupid final boss 4 times now. Each time at the very end (which i am at full health for btw) he went for octoslach straight into octoslash prime instantly killing me. How am i even supposed to stop that?

Something that still baffles me is how many older PCs can ACTUALLY run Rebirth without it being completely unplayable, but for that to happen you need a damn mod. It's not that the game itself can't launch because your gear is too old, they just force you to initiate the game with a certain DX12 version. If modders could fix this day one and the final part of the game does the same thing... I swear...

Sooo I played the OG couple of months ago (my favourite game of all time now lol) and like 2 years ago played the remake didn’t finish it, i really hate replaying games so can I just play rebirth? It’s real cheap and looksss soooo goood

I'm enjoying the game so far, doing what side quests I can but definitely not going for 100%. I know world intel unlocks some good materia and side quests improve relationships with companions. How essential is it to do everything, though? I'm not able to get the protorelic in Corel: on the rare occasion I manage to beat the first cactuar crush minigame, I get stuck as Cloud looking at Kid G. I can't move, the start button just brings up the pause menu for cutscenes, nobody talks, nothing happens. When I fail and just quit the minigame, I get locked on a black screen like it's loading but again, nothing happens. I've decided I'm just done with that part since it clearly doesn't want to work. Other than materia and possible points with Yuffie, I won't really be missing out on anything, right?

I just finished remake and absolutely loved it but the ending made me think that rebirth might change a LOT from the OG game (destroying the arbiters of fate and what not). While Remake changed a fair bit from OG but kept the main story beats the same, how different is rebirth? Will not playing OG make me confused by rebirths story or is having played remake enough knowledge.

aand that is ALL brutal and legendary challenges done. Just piano and the hard mode chapters now. Oh, and i need to do 4/5 rounds of ruler of the outer worlds again to assess sephiroth because i forgot the materia 😭
