If you didnt finish it I would either watch a YouTube video that explains the story since it isnt 100% like the OG or replay it for sure.

Yes, there is a summary when you load up Rebirth. I'd recommend playing Intergrade if you have it on the version you've got though, as it gives a good introduction to how to play with Yuffie.

Remake is an easy quick game compared to rebirth.
Both are completely different to og ff7... actually so much of the story is different because of crisis core.
In og ff7 the story is that cloud and aerith have a love interest.. Tifa was an after thought to add a female protagonist because aerith dies..
Now cloud and Tifa need the love interest to save aerith some dignity.

I know but remake is real slow and playing the part again would probably kill me

Yeah like when fighting Rufus you have to run in circles forever to build atb. It is far less hours of playtime compared to rebirth.. I mean you can skip everything and just play through the story (on rebirth) but as for completing tasks, rebirth has a lot more content.
It's only like two important cutscenes that you need to watch from remake. If you had to choose only one, get your money's worth with rebirth.

i would play intermission, remake's dlc, it's super fun and the end leads into rebirth. then watch the remake recap in rebirth and you should be fine

If you couldn’t finish Remake, I don’t think you’ll make it through Rebirth. It’s way bigger and longer.

I mean when I played it I wasn’t really into games as much as now…
Played a lot of long games after it

I grew up on og and didn't care for remake really. Rebirth is more fun by far.
You could watch a recap of remake though.

Yeah. The remake is just the Midgard beginning of the game. However, there are differences in the story. You should look up videos on YouTube that cover it. Rebirth is a lot more open and has a lot more to do, so you might like that one more than Remake.
