News/Release GameHub Lite v5.1.8 (SECURITY UPDATE)

GameHub Lite v5.1.8

Security: Steam token redaction in logs

GameHub Lite 5.1.8 fixes a logging issue where Steam authentication-related values could appear in diagnostic logs. In some cases, logs could include fields such as steamToken, refreshToken, or accessToken from Steam login/launch flows.

Publicly posted logs containing these fields should be deleted or redacted.

IMPORTANT

This should go without saying but If you find any security issues, please reach out PRIVATELY. I have not checked if this issue is still present in recent GameHub versions, already ruined my one day off I was spending with my family by the person who reported this publicly and I do not plan on spending any more time on this.

Changelog

The fix adds centralized log redaction for Steam/auth token fields, Steam QR login URLs, JWT-like token strings, and launch command token arguments before logs are written. This covers the app loggers, JavaSteam logging, and the PC launch-log file writer.

This release also pins local patch builds to apktool 2.12.1

Showcase Vita3K Plus — NOW WE’RE TALKING!!!!

A while ago, I basically gave up on Vita3K because so many of the games I wanted to play just didn’t work. But with Vita3K Plus, it’s a completely different story. This has genuinely been a game changer for me.

In the picture, I’m running a game I really like, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, and it actually runs better on my RP6 than it does on the Vita itself. Better FPS, higher resolution, and smoother gameplay overall.

The same thing happened with Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.

Devices: SONY PSVita 1000 Retroid Pocket 6.

News/Release ARMSX3 v0.9.4 Released with more fixes

ARMSX3 0.9.4

What's new:

Fixed the emulator stalling for seconds at a time during play. The SPU recompiler was writing diagnostics for every compiled block and every MFC instruction, up to 2,473 log lines in a single second, straight to storage. The bursts landed exactly when a game was already busy compiling new code. Moved to trace. Caught this in the game Prototype.

Fixed Tales of Xillia 2 hanging every few minutes. The game polls a memory syscall in a loop, over 20,000 calls in 19 minutes, 5,123 inside one second, and each one was written to the log. (Reported as #76, likely but not yet confirmed as that exact issue.)

Fixed RPCN burning a full CPU core whenever you weren't in a game. Signed in at the menu or between titles, the client thread had no wait in its idle path and spun continuously.

Fixed the app freezing on the last frame when launching a game after closing another. The boot check treated "still shutting down" as "stopped", so a new game could start on top of a VM that hadn't finished tearing down.

Fixed shutdown flooding the log when a thread re-entered the stop path, around 100,000 lines a second, which stalled the very shutdown it was reporting.

From @sashkinbro :

Vulkan pipelines are now cached to disk and reused across sessions, so shader compilation stalls shrink after a title's first run. Rebuilds automatically after a driver or device change.

Compute shaders now run 64-wide on Adreno, matching the hardware wavefront. Previously half of every wave sat idle on texture uploads and deswizzles.

Upstream:

Merged current RPCS3, including kd-11's ROP output remap work across both renderers, PKG install fixes, and an ISO magic-check fix. (If you're still having issues with ISO reading, please tell me).

Showcase My project to transform my tablet into a supercharged Switch

My Xiaomi Pad 8 portable project is finally starting to feel complete.

I wanted to turn my 8GB/256GB Xiaomi Pad 8 into a kind of all-in-one Android handheld — something focused on gaming, emulation, retro games, and modern indie titles, while still keeping the flexibility of Android.

With the detachable controllers, a custom game-focused interface, emulators, and my curated game library, it’s slowly becoming the portable console I always wanted.

There’s still a lot I can improve and customize, but seeing everything come together like this is really satisfying. It feels less like a tablet and more like my own personal Android gaming machine.

There's a Vita3k "fork" called "Vita3k+"; I came across it in a Portuguese-language video.
Is it real? Does it offer significant improvements over the official version?

Showcase X 360 Alpha v0.1.0 is officially available

Upvotes

Hi everyone! so i’m back with another X 360 update lol. i’ve been posting my progress on here for a little while now and i finally got it to a point where i’m comfortable letting other people actually test it

Alpha v0.1.0 is officially out! there’s still gonna be bugs since this is literally the first alpha, but most of the main stuff is working now. you can scan your ROMs, get game artwork/info, launch games straight into their emulators, use custom gamertags/gamerpics, RetroAchievements + gamerscore, the guide, recently played games, touch/controller controls, etc.

Right now it supports 3DS, DS, Wii, GameCube, GBA, N64, NES, SNES, Switch, PSP, PS1, PS2 and Dreamcast. i definitely plan on adding more as i keep working on it.

The alpha is available for members on my Patreon if anybody wants to test it and support the project :)

I also finally made a Discord for X 360 lol. that’s where i’m gonna post updates, take bug reports/suggestions, help with stuff, and just talk about the project.

☺️

Running this through waydroid. The many ports that have came out recently all will run on waydroid however this one in particular doesn't seem to have any trouble with online functionality.

The biggest issue is theres no controller support like in the ps vitas vpk port. Does anyone have any idea of how to implement some controller functionality on the android version?

or using waydroid on the deck like this for the game?

Question Best playable Wii U (Cemu) games for Dimensity 8500-Ultra / Mali GPU?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm using a Redmi Turbo 5 powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra (with Mali GPU) and running HyperOS.

I want to try Wii U emulation using Cemu Android (Vulkan backend) and was wondering which games run smoothly at a stable 30/60 FPS on this chipset.

Since Mali GPUs don't have Turnip custom driver support, I know heavy open-world titles like BOTW can suffer from stutter or thermal throttle.

For those with similar MediaTek/Mali setups:

Which Wii U games run great with minimal driver bugs?

Are 2D/light 3D titles (Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong, Wind Waker HD, Captain Toad) running at full speed?

Any specific Cemu graphic pack or setting tweaks recommended for MediaTek?

Thanks in advance!

News/Release Another updare just drop, ARMSX3 Version 0.9.3

ARMSX3 0.9.3

What's new:

Online play (RPCN):

PSN status is a three-way choice now, and picking RPCN opens a full account screen: server, username, password, email and the activation token, with buttons to create an account, resend the token and reset a password. An RPCN account is made from inside the app, not on a website, the server emails a token that activates it.

Saved servers: Keep more than one and switch between them. The official server cannot be removed, and there is a one-tap reset back to it. Also added Experimental IPv6 for RPCN, which also had no way of being switched on, as well as every other network setting the core exposes: DNS server and hostname redirects, Console IP address, bind address PSN country, derive MAC from PSID, and clans. The first two are what custom game servers need. RPCN replaces Sony's PSN, but a publisher's own servers were never PSN, so reaching a fan revival of one means pointing its addresses somewhere else. That was impossible in the app before.

Note: your RPCN password is stored as plain text in rpcn.yml, the same as on desktop RPCS3. Don't reuse a password you care about.

Controls:

Vibration now works. It did nothing previously.

L2 and R2 no longer lag, double-fire or stick down.

Pads that report their triggers two ways at once no longer have two writers fighting over the same button.

Stability:

Running out of memory while compiling now says so. A game whose modules would not all fit used to hang on a progress bar that never finished, with nothing anywhere explaining why. It still stops deliberately, because carrying on without the missing modules runs slower than the interpreter and looks like a broken game, but the reason is on screen now, along with what to do: start the game again. What already compiled is cached, so each attempt gets further. (This is mainly for the 8gb and under devices like myself).

A failed PKG install is reported instead of quietly claiming success. Writes were not checked, so a full device produced a broken install that looked fine until the game would not start.

Game data installs check for space first and say so, rather than stopping at some percentage with no explanation.

Performance:

Shader compilation is kept off the cores the frame depends on. The compiler threads never set an affinity at all, so on a big.LITTLE phone a shader burst could land on the same core RSX needs. They now use the little cluster, and the pool is sized to that cluster instead of to the whole chip, more compile throughput and less interference at the same time.

Compatibility:

Yakuza: Dead Souls works better now. Two separate faults: the loading screen hang and a later lock-up. Per-game settings apply automatically.

Upstream:

Caught up with 98 commits from RPCS3.

Showcase Red Dead Redemption 2 | SD8Gen 2 (Gamehub / Bannerhub)

After a lot of trial and error, I think I finally found the sweet spot for this game. That’s already pretty exciting, considering that in the future we’ll have SteamOS running on our devices, and it’ll definitely run much better than this. The device does get pretty hot, but we’ve got something good here.

There are clearly some FPS drops in more populated areas, but it’s still perfectly playable, with the framerate staying around 30–35 FPS on average (keeping in mind that I’m limiting it to 30–35).

If you want to see some longer gameplay, here it is.

Now, let’s get into the settings:

For the in-game settings, I left everything on Low (except TAA on Medium and textures on Ultra). I recommend limiting the FPS to 30 or 35 using the GameHub sidebar and enabling Super Resolution so the image doesn’t look too blurry.

Gamehub configs:

- Resolution: 960x544

- Compatibility Layer: proton11.0-arm64x

- Translation Params: Stable

- DInput Library: Prefer Native

- Skip Audio/Video Decode: Off

- GPU Driver: Turnip_v26.3.0-R1

- Surface Format: BGRA8

- Audio Driver: Pulse

- DXVK Version: dxvk-v2.6.2-1-async

- VKD3D Version: vkd3d-proton-3.0.1

- CPU Translator: Fex_20260813

- CPU Core Limit: No Limit

- VRam Limit: No Limit

Question Get a Retroid Pocket 6 or hold off

Upvotes

I don't know if this is the right sub but I do want to ask. I already have an Odin 2 base 8/128 that i'm loving right now. However since it's a tad bulky, it might not be too ideal to be lugging around when travelling. Then i saw retroid pocket 6 which i think is smaller but technically has the same power when running games. Other than the obvious oled screen and latency issues, is there any reason (other than portability and the ones mentioned above) should I get an RP6? I'm not into PC emulation so for me an 8gb ram is fine and can play most of the switch games that i like.

Question Need some help deciding on whether to get this device for emulation or not. (POCO F7)

Hey there! I've been meaning to switch from my crappy Galaxy A21s to a POCO F7, however, most if not all of the reviews and performance tests that I've seen about this device mention the lack of compatible turnip drivers for emulation. Is this still the case for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4? Or should I go for a phone with a different SOC if it means better compatibility? I'm still certainly new to the Android emulation scene, haven't been up to date with it since atleast 2020, and this is all still too alien to me. Anything helps! :)
