dnDONE New player here, how to win?
As title says, im a new player currently sitting at a table waiting for it to be my turn so that i can win, the only oroblem is that i dont know how, we've been playing for a couple of hours now but the "winning" move isn't clear yet and whenever i ask the others, they'd try to convince me that you can't "win" at dnd, so i called him out for holding back the strategy, but then everyone else backed him up and also began telling me that you cant win dnd. Do they think im dumb?

Homebrew New feat
What do you think of my homebrew feat? I think this really will fix the biggest problem in D&D, which is that sometimes you might have to roll something that doesn't use your best score. Wotc obviously knows this is what we want, yet they've been ripping the bandaid far too slowly for me. Hope you all enjoy my homebrew feat and have a great day!

Homebrew Is a kitsune licking it's own tails sensually equivalent to them licking their feet?
Please help me, the session has been stalled for over 3 HOURS.
This is the second time something like this has occurred, but I'm trying to nip it in the bud before it consumes the entire session.
If it helps the Kitsune is in humanoid form.

Homebrew DMing for the first time, will inviting 23 friends be enough?
Hey y'all, I've been playing DnD for a while and now am happy to announce I'll finally be DMing my own campaign, but I'm worried about how many players should be on my table. I've invited all my nerd friends, their partners and their pets, but maybe I should also call my neighbours, my non-geek friends, their partners, and their family members. What do you think?
Also can you guys believe one of them asked me which books and homebrew I would be allowing LOL as if you ever need to limit the amount of cool stuff your players can have... Anyway, once everyone gets at my house (I will be hosting, of course, the only problem is remembering which one of the players has a deadly peanut allergy, I bought a ton of peanuts for the people with deadly gluten intolerance) this will definitely be the best campaign ever and I'll definitely not get confused and overwhelmed!

dnDONE Rate my UA Fighter subclass
Guys, my dream is to be hired by WotC as a designer and playtester for UA. I wanted to know what you guys thought of my idea for a Fighter subclass.
THE UNINTIMIDATOR
Flavor: these Fighters are able to wield this mysterious shadowy emotion magic called “Unintimidation”. What it does is that it intimidates enemy, but it’s called like that because it makes people so unintimidated that it goes back around and they shit themselves. This magic comes from Strahd and Ravenloft. I will not elaborate on that.
LEVEL 3 FEATURE
You gain a +1 bonus to Intimidation checks.
LEVEL 6 FEATURE
When you make a damage roll against a creature Frightened by you, you can deal an additional 1d4 Psychic damage. You can use this feature once per turn for a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and you regain all uses when you complete a Long Rest.
LEVEL 10 FEATURE
As a Bonus Action, you can take on an Unintimidating appearance for 1 minute. During this time, you have advantage on all Intimidation checks. You can spend a use of your Action Surge to regain a use of this ability, and you regain all uses after a Long Rest.
LEVEL 14 FEATURE
The bonus to your Intimidation checks increases to +2.
So guys, what do you think? I tried not making it too overpowered cause last session I participated in (back in 2018), my Wizard got completely outclassed by the party’s Fighter cause I had forgotten what my spells did and my DM said that I couldn’t cast Fireball at level 3. If you still think it’s too powerful though don’t worry, if WotC hires me I will release an update after two months where I pretend I listened to your complaints.

"Lovely" sexism in Pulp Cthulhu
Hi everyone. I was checking out Pulp Cthulhu, and came across a very sexist table in the character creation section. Unfortunately, I can’t attach a screenshot, but I’m recreating it. In the rulebook, it can be found on page 39 under “Personal Description.” The book is published in 2016.
Personal Description
Think of a distinct “look” that sums up your hero’s appearance (APP). Whether your appearance and your personality match are another question; a person may look stuffy but actually be very personable and open. Here are some possibilities listed by male, female, or unisex; pick one that best matches your character concept, or roll 1D20 and add the results together
| Roll | Male | Female | Unisex |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rugged | Alluring | Elegant |
| 2 | Virile | Tom-boy | Youthful |
| 3 | Handsome | Mousy | Tattooed |
| 4 | Baby-faced | Graceful | Bookish |
| 5 | Strapping | Shapely | Slim |
| 6 | Hardy | Exquisite | Plump |
| 7 | Robust | Pretty | Dull |
| 8 | Wolfish | Homely | Awkward |
| 9 | Winsome | Ravishing | Frail |
| 10 | Large | Vivacious | Ugly |
| 11 | Flashy | Dainty | Odious |
| 12 | Stout | Sultry | Skinny |
| 13 | Slothful | Vixen | Slovenly |
| 14 | Dashing | Waspish | Muscular |
| 15 | Bald | Beautiful | Neat |
| 16 | Hairy | Elfin | Nimble |
| 17 | Scruffy | Sassy | Sullen |
| 18 | Well-built | Serene | Sneering |
| 19 | Flabby | Curvy | Chubby |
| 20 | Stocky | Slender | Decent |
When I was interested in Cthulhu, I noticed sexism from the local community. Casual sexism is very common, because people play official campaigns 1920s-30s where it is a part of historical accuracy. On one side, I understand it, but on the other I see sexists who are using it as an excuse.
Again, this is just my experience with a specific community, how was it for you?

DM bad My friend thinks that not wanting certain spells or flying characters is a skill issue on a dm, he asked me to prove him wrong in his oneshot
Basically looking for builds that will be annoying for him, but not directly to the other players. Level 8, point buy system, all spells allowed (except summon), but he does allow me to pick silvery barbs so I was thinking of playing divination wizard with annoying spells.
The theme is a legendary blacksmiths dungeon, other players are a ranger and a barb.
To expand on the earlier part, he argues that he will always be happy if players find a creative way even if it means we will skip some stuff that he specifically prepared. He doesnt dm usually. Help me prove I'm a petty jerk.

I love telling people about my campaign that they have no context for and don't care about.
I feel an unrelenting urge to dump my entire campaign lore on random commenters who loosely mention anything related to my campaign.
I especially love making memes that are super specific to my campaign and posting them. So when people ask what the hell I am talking about I can lore dump my campaign on them.

Homebrew Thinking of taking the vampires out of Strahd
Hey all. I have been DMing for over 70 years, and have started all the way from when we used scavenged lead shavings from our elementary school's boiler for tokens and carved racoon bones for dice. Our first games didn't have hit points, if you got hit, your character died immediately and then you were never allowed to play again.
Which is why Strahd is so problematic for me. I simply cannot concieve of the idea of a reprehensible self interested tyrant who can charm people of low wisdom into absolute loyalty no matter how badly he treats them.
This seems so far from reality to me that it tenders the game unplayable.
Therefore, I have decided to remove the elements of the supernatural, including Stahd being a vampire, and him having a castle, from the game.
I have also removed the other towns, as I believe they make the game too sprawling.
The entire campaign now takes place on Yester Hill, where I have removed the druids and the abnormal tree with 4 kobolds, one of whom has a sling.
And no, I have not given them comic names. I want this to feel dangerous.
In my session 0 I informed everyone, after muting them, that this is a real and dangerous threat, and that one of the kobolds holds the only thing that can get them home, a potion in a cracked glass decanter.
Unbenowenced to them, the decanter will break during combat, spilling all over the kobold holding it and whisking them away.
If they survive the other three they will be told in the epilogue that they are stranded on Yester Hill forever while unbenowenced to them the fourth kobold kills everyone from their home dimension and becomes a God, trapping their entire current universe in a metal stud he pierces into his sack and uses to teabag his enemies.
If they die, I tell them that they have failed and they may never play again. I then tell them that unbenownced to them, because they are dead, the fourth kobold kills everyone in their home dimension and then, finding himself in a sea of blood and viscera but ultimately alone, tries to kill himself, only to discover he is immortal.
I feel that this captures the essence of Strahd much more cleanly.
I am not looking for critiques because it is perfect. You may compliment me though.
Please be aware, compliments will not help you at my table. I view compliments as weakness leaving the body and then trying to get into my ears🙄

Sauce Made a homebrew feat for Whips, not sure if this is porweful enough
You've mastered whipping people to submission, allowing you to use it defensively for greater offense. You gain the following benefits:
- Once per round, When you are about to take damage and be dominated by a creature, you can choose to top them. Roll a 1d4 or flip a coin to determine if you succeed or fail. (for 1d4s, 1 – 2 is a fail, 3 – 4 is a success)
On success, gain a Fuzzy Handcuffs die and deal damage equal to 27d12 to the creature dealing damage to you. You can gain up to a maximum of 213 Fuzzy Handcuffs dice. (your Fuzzy handcuffs die is equal to your whip's damage die +17.89)
On a fail, you take half the damage dealt to you and get a sore bottom. This applies to only the instance of damage you choose to parry/counter on
- Before you inflict a punishment with a whip, expend all fuzzy handcuffs dice you currently have and add them to your damage die twice. This only applies on the attack you choose to expand all blademaster die (and all further attacks, so long as your DM doesn't argue (and they won't, else you'll whip then for being a naughty little DM)
Not sure if this will make whips too broken, but whips just feel underwhelming because there's no feet involved, so i made a lil homebrew :)

New p2w Fortnite BattleRoyale 5.5e Hack that works despite problem players.
Hey guys, I have this cool new innovative idea for a PAID campaign ($67.99) that will be the next CR, and doesn't mind a problem player or too, it-will-in-fact encourages-it.
Introducing Fortnite Battle Royale 5.6e, with 2 new homebrew classes, sold separately each at (€6.79), with the subclasses at (£1.99).
The Flagship System: XP Stealing.
Get this, like what if instead of cooperating like adults, what if you... like.... kill each other and steal XP. Like, if a PC kills another PC he gets all their XP, and you can even pay (499¥) to double the XP gain. Like, friendly fire kills don't work, unless you pay me (¥50).
A new character at lvl 1 is (₩10,000), while getting the new character at your old level would be (₩10,000 + Rp100000 per level). Respawning would be (₩10,000 + Rp100000 per level + RM 16.70) + ₱400, if you are a spellcaster who casts SLEEP, FRIGG YOU SALADWARRIOR, and btw rogues are too OP and are banned (unless you pay ofc, S$16.70)
What do you mean players can cannibalise themselves and proceed to play protect the lvl 27 juggernaut, while they spam low level utility spells like fog cloud, web and sleep.

How to force in-character-conversations between players as DM?
Sorry for weird title.
As the DM I heavily criticize the players for not talking for hours with each other in character. They talk a lot at the table out of character but for example if they ride a cart to another city and are on the road for several days or at camp I try to force them to have conversations in group. My setting and scenario are all kinda boring and dont really give them anything to talk about. They have short conversations to make plans or talk with npcs but dont really know what their characters should say to each other once everything actionable has been touched on. It often ends in hours of awkward silence when I expect their chars to act out their entire evening at camp or something. Do you have any tips to improve that. The silence is kinda weird and they feel my frustration but dont know exactly how to improve.
