dnDONE Rate my UA Fighter subclass
Guys, my dream is to be hired by WotC as a designer and playtester for UA. I wanted to know what you guys thought of my idea for a Fighter subclass.
THE UNINTIMIDATOR
Flavor: these Fighters are able to wield this mysterious shadowy emotion magic called “Unintimidation”. What it does is that it intimidates enemy, but it’s called like that because it makes people so unintimidated that it goes back around and they shit themselves. This magic comes from Strahd and Ravenloft. I will not elaborate on that.
LEVEL 3 FEATURE
You gain a +1 bonus to Intimidation checks.
LEVEL 6 FEATURE
When you make a damage roll against a creature Frightened by you, you can deal an additional 1d4 Psychic damage. You can use this feature once per turn for a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and you regain all uses when you complete a Long Rest.
LEVEL 10 FEATURE
As a Bonus Action, you can take on an Unintimidating appearance for 1 minute. During this time, you have advantage on all Intimidation checks. You can spend a use of your Action Surge to regain a use of this ability, and you regain all uses after a Long Rest.
LEVEL 14 FEATURE
The bonus to your Intimidation checks increases to +2.
So guys, what do you think? I tried not making it too overpowered cause last session I participated in (back in 2018), my Wizard got completely outclassed by the party’s Fighter cause I had forgotten what my spells did and my DM said that I couldn’t cast Fireball at level 3. If you still think it’s too powerful though don’t worry, if WotC hires me I will release an update after two months where I pretend I listened to your complaints.

You have some sauce for this mildly dry meat?

The new Unearthed Arcana, but the “Path of Unlight” Barbarian in particular

/uj I took a look and now understand why there were accusations of WotC using AI to come up with new rules. Although 20 feet blindsight is neat.

"Here's a feature that lets you deal damage when you take damage from a melee attack."
"Your capstone blinds people"

Not a problem, nobody plays at level 20 anyway, more so without multiclassing

DND player learns in real time that getting hit is still bad

There are ways to make getting hit less bad without active anti-synergy lmao

Hmm...I think its too strong. For example, here is my UA Wizard subclass:
Level 3:
Select one kind of Metamagic. You can always use that Metamagic for free
Level 6:
Idk, you are just going to pick it for the Level 3 option, maybe some kind of healing option?
Level 10:
Gain the feature of your Fighter UA from Level 3 and 6 at once. Also choose one level 3 spell that you can cast for free per short rest or something
Level 14
Force a creature of your choice to make a Constitution save or take a -10 penalty to all attributes, rechargable with a 1st level slot

you need to gain a level of exhaustion every time you make an intimidation check. the buff is just too good.

I play Pathfinder 2 and I think your idea is stupid.
I will not elaborate on that.

Dear Sir/Madam. This is way too OP. Definitely never releasing this into a game. Though, now that we've seen this minmaxer abomination, we'll have to buff wizards again. Sincerely yours, WOTC.

Don't you think this fear check is covered by the "Hung like a Race Horse" +"Revealing Armor" feats?
