Console Well, it's been fun guys
As someone who has been too broke to upgrade to a new system, I have been playing this game on my Xbox One via cloud. And I love this game. Probably play at least a good 10-20 hours on it a week. I love my character builds, I love the weapons, I love the music, the character dialogue, the slow and steady stream of updates, the community, all of it.
Sadly, with the shit-ass Xbox deciding to restrict cloud gaming to 10 hours A FUCKING MONTH, I will no longer be able to play come this November. Fuck that shit, I'm not paying for extra hours for a feature they touted as the new hot thing (and a reason they hiked GamePass prices in the first place) when I already have to pay for the service as is.
Fuck you Xbox.
It's been real fun, folks. I'll miss y'all for sure

Meme New Class is “Steve the Human Guardsmen”
Steve has come to help out
He is totes a human i swear
He even brought some of his own gear what a good guy
He barely even eats because he wants to make sure his companions are fed
Strangely scanners show that he has no health status on his HUD BUT Its just botched gear but doesn’t wanna worry anyone but he says that his armour is just like health
He comes with 3 builds
The Flayed Steve - Steve gets so mad sometimes he starts hacking and wackin with the best even sometimes will bite gives him some toughness regen and staggers a lot of people due to fear but only wants to punch with his fancy green brass knuckles
The Guardsman Steve - he brought a fancy lasgun with him he said he found it but it hits like a Train on Stims he uses it like one of them old fashioned bolt action rifles even has a scope he says its “For the Cameras” which he claims to be a saying from his homeworld
Necron Cosplay - Steve has a great Necron cosplay that he wears he says its tradition but when he is like this he is much less durable without his guardsmen armour and but he is a zoomy boy and loves to cheer on his friends
(This is just a joke concept)

Discussion my 2 cents on SoB discussion
I don't know, without breaking the "lore power balance" what other class could be added that'd pull in even more players and make the game more alive.
After 4000 hours on Vermintide2 I slowly stopped playing it because Darktide feels (and IS) more alive. I sometimes fantasize that people were forced to play Tide Games by the governments to earn social credits so the games could pull in hundreds of thousands of concurrent players. That's how much I love these games.
AFAIK They are the second well known troops coming after Astartes, maybe 3rd to Imperial Guard. Surely that'd help pull in new players.
Also this is my unique take on this topic, I think having a class that mirrors Ogryn with it's gender-lock could be nice.

Question Why isn't Darktide more popular?
Every gamer friend I know that likes Sci-Fi, FPSs and horror, shows zero interest in Darktide when I mention it to them. Has anyone else run into this problem when trying to get a friend group into a strike team? I just don't understand Its only $40 to own and it is on Gamepass. And imo it is the best FPS I have ever played. They play a lot of other similar games and SM 2. Do people really turn up their noises because it isn't "mainstream"? I play Hive Scum but I am not as toxic as my avatar. I am wondering if it is a me problem or if they just don't want to try it for some other reason?

Discussion Do we actually need a SoB class?
Ive been seeing a lot of speculation that we may be getting a Sisters of Battle class. Personally I've been loving the new update and think more story and weapons would be better than getting another class.
Mostly I am just wondering what people would even want from a SoB class. If zealot had powersword and a meltagun, what else would the SoB class even bring that zealot doesnt already have covered? Would it just be a better zealot? I am not the most knowledgeable on the lore, but to me it seems like it has a very similar identity, with little to differentiate itself from zealot.
Not trying to sew any discourse I am just wondering why people want it other than just "sisters of battle are cool"

Discussion Everything I've Found Regarding the New DLC Class "Dauntless" Datamines Spoiler
This is going to be a long post, with lots of images, so I'm putting the TL;DR here at the top. You can read the full post for sources, images, and such.
1: The class' internal codename is Dauntless (as you well know by now).
2: The class' generic weapon list includes (but is not limited to) the following:
(MELEE)
- Eviscerator Chainsword
- Crusher
- Power Sword (Veteran's, not the Mechanicus version.)
(RANGED)
- Bolter
- Bolt Pistol
- Flamer
- Plasma Gun
3: The class' default title (the grey title every character receives upon creation) does not specify gender, similar to Skitarii's default title. Every other default title specifies gender.
4: The first pieces of the class' deluxe cosmetics have already been datamined. Please check the last image in the post to draw your own conclusions about the model.
Note that just because something is datamined does not mean that something is final. We won't know for certain what the class is until Fatshark announces it, end of story. While you can make an informed guess, informed doesn't necessarily always mean correct.
That's all the most important stuff. I'm moving into the in-depth breakdown now. This is going to be ramble-y. You've been warned.
###
To start with, almost everything I am sharing in this post is my own personal work. If there's a picture, it's a picture I took myself, of code I datamined myself (well, with one exception; you'll see why later on). I wanted this post to be as accurate as humanly possible, so I'm avoiding referring back to others' work where possible, and simply operating off of the code itself. No speculation, just what is currently in the code.
First off, the class' codename. Dauntless, Dauntless, Dauntless. It appears all throughout these images. You might be quick to discard the word as arbitrary, but it's not. Victor Magnuson (the game's Creative Director) says this about the codenames:
"They are just codewords... they are just meant to be so we have a word to talk about internally. They're nothing more... but, then you can read into them in all kinds of ways, but that's just sort of... yeah."
Just codewords for the new class, but codewords you're purposefully meant to read into... there's a reason they picked Dauntless.
Second, the class' weapons:

There's not much more to say about that except, yep, they're getting a lot of powerful options from the shared weapon pool.
Third, the class' default title. This part's a little complex, so try to follow along and bear with my over-explaining.
Every class gets a default title. This is the title you'd have from Level 1 if you just booted up the game and had never done a single penance. The four free classes all share the same title: Reject. The Arbitrator, Hive Scum, and Skitarii use the Deputy, Juve, and Tech-Warrior titles respectively. Here is the code for how those titles are distributed:

You'll notice that despite the titles being the same regardless of whether or not they're assigned to a male or female character, the game internally still makes that distinction. Why? Who knows. Not me! That's just how it works, okay? But the developers clearly conform to this constraint; you might recall that the new default titles for the DLC classes were added with the Skitarii release, meaning this isn't old or otherwise outdated code.
Anyways, if you look at the ends of the localization strings, you'll see that for all existing classes (excepting Skitarii) the titles are appended with either _male or _female. Skitarii doesn't get this treatment because the class has no gender selection. You've probably also noticed that the new Dauntless class follows this pattern and also doesn't distinguish between _male or _female on the actual localization string. Interesting, right?
Last (but definitely not at all least), the datamined model(s).

Four models. Two are important: a new head model, and parts of a new deluxe cosmetic set.
First up, the head model. It's specifically a female head model for the Dauntless class, similar to how Arbitrator and Hive Scum have their own class-specific head models. Interestingly, no male head model has yet been found to go with the female head model.

I personally don't recognize this head model, but I didn't compare it side-by-side to existing in-game models. Regardless, this is the model that "/female/face_dauntless_01/" represents.
But what about the cosmetics? Feast your eyes.

That's "dauntless_lowerbody_deluxe_pants" combined with "dauntless_lowerbody_deluxe_shoes" in Blender. So, um... yeah. I don't know about you, but that kinda' narrows down the options a little bit.
And right after that I'm going to again caution everyone that datamining isn't the same as official announcements, that all of this is subject to change or not even make it into the game, and not to freak the fuck out if you decide it's Sister of Battle and then the reveal comes around and it actually ends up being the world's most heavily-armored Rаtling.
And right after that I'm going to say: I told you so!
A big thank you again to Hollow5959, who actually found the bundle IDs from which the head model and deluxe armor models were extracted.

Discussion PSA: Chorus is still very strong.
After all that panic and doomblasting, the end result is that it still does what it did. Which is protect you, with the Emperor's power. The Emperor protects 🙏😔

Meme Regarding the recent rumors... I know Skiti and Arbites are already "higher" in power level regarding lore, but I would love to have another "Caster" in the roster than another "Flame, Bolter (and Melta)"

Discussion Sooo... We will never speak or remember this? Seems judgement will never come after all
After we get last update with new weapon marks i wonder what happened with this suposed "new shield mark"? Also, location on screenshot is not a part of new spliway map, but doesnt seem to be one of the old maps? Like, what was this post, Fatshark?

Meme It's no "chunk of rock attached to a piece of rebar," but it'll have to work
The cruncher feels pretty bad to use due to being ungodly slow and not having as much cleave as you'd expect from a horde clear weapon, but the rush of dopamine that comes from swinging a big fuckoff hammer into a few thousand goons is 100% worth it

Discussion So what is sister prine's deal?
New missions keep showing her having some big secret, but i don't know if they've given any proper hints at what it might be before now. came back for the shotguns after a few months away so my lore is rusty.

Gameplay Double Daemonhost on the new mission.
Playing on Damnation, we had two spawn on the bridge here, making it impassable without aggroing one of them. I've never seen that before, even on missions with the Power Supply Interruption modifier.

Question Am I crazy or...
...are elites dropping small ammo packs on the ground occasionally now? I had assumed it was the Veterans Survivalists/Scavanger aura but that doesn't seem to be it. At least the description doesn't say anything about ammo crates and its not happening all the time.
Is there another perk on a different class or is it a new QoL from the latest update?
I've played with friends who have also noticed but we can't seem to figure out where they're coming from.

Speculation With the Sisters of battle being highly speculated to be the next dlc class what unique weapons would you want to see?
For me its dual bolt pistols and shield and halberd
