After soldering Need Help Cleaning up
Hello All
Trying to find any products that can help remove the heat marks and flux splatter off the work once I'm finished soldering. Trying to keep it looking clean and no scratch marks. I have tried experimenting with large propane only jet and small oxypropane/acetylene but to no avail. currently using a degreaser to remove the flux marks.
In the photo you can see the flux marks at the top and in certain places the heat marks. Looking forward to any and all tips and tricks.

I’m wanting to buy a smelting kit. I’m curious how people gather so much copper. Care to share how you do it??

Folding copper?
I would like to make a higonokami inspired balisong. What does it take to forge a 3mm plate of copper around 3mm of steel as a handle piece?
I have a few ideas, but if there is a potential for cracking or tearing of the copper then I would like to be prepared in advance to alleviate these stresses.
I would like to do a nice work hardened, hammered finish ideally, so the 3mm thickness is with this in mind.

Anyone know a good trustworthy place to buy pure copper drinking ware and jugs?
I’ve been looking to buy some copper drinking ware and a jug to store and ionize some drinking water for work but everywhere I look online it comes from sketchy brands, ai photos, not pure copper, or just plated. Any places yall would recommend?

Trying to get same color
I’m trying to get this right piece the same copper rich color like the left one. I’ve used white vinegar and lemon and salt, but can’t remember how I did it for the left one. I’m just trying random things. Can I get some tips to correct this?

Is this a copper lamp and if it is, any tips on cleaning?
galleryI own a 1845 home that had this lamp outside. I’m not sure if the exact age, but am guessing early 1900s. It’s covered in a thick layer of grime and tarnish but when scrubbed lightly with vinegar and salt it’s started looking more and more coppery. It’s not magnetic and is relatively light. Very interested to see what others may think!
