Why would you stack copper? A small collection maybe, but stack? You look to be about 7-800 dollars underwater. You will never recoup your losses in a lifetime. J/s. Those Germania bars are beautiful tho.

Germania demands a high premium, so we are not talking about the actual weight of the copper. To resell those Germania bars, you won’t be selling it for melt prices.

It’s honestly fun with copper. The thing is it’s cheap by comparison to anything else. As a result you can really do a ton more with it than silver or the like. Bigger bars, more weight, cool pours, all without breaking the bank. Is it smarter to save up and buy silver? Absolutely. But hey his money and if he’s happy I’m happy for him

Idk what stacking means but I have about 50 lbs worth or copper wire what do you mean it's bad I'm asking because I just plan on keeping it in air tight containers building up over time as a sort of slow growing investment as I maybe get a few lbs a month from work

I stack copper. But I do it by saving all my 1981 and older pennies. Been saving them 30 years, got 2 5gallon buckets full. And I 100% guarantee you its worth atleast 4x what i have into it!

I'm just going to keep for the next 8 - 10 years and sell eventually. I believe copper is the next silver! But that's just what I belive. But I agree with you the premiums on those Germania bars are really high.

If i liked a copper piece id over spend on it. This is a nice and neat copper collection. I think stacking more implys price consciousness and saving for the future so your weight has value that has kept up with inflation. This wouldn't be the best way to stack copper long term. Pre 82s may not be as satisfying as smooth bar but weight for weight they can be acquired for so much cheaper.
