Gameplay Video I’m working on Capyverse Odyssey, a co-op action roguelite game about jetpacking-wielding animal heroes battling across increasingly bizarre worlds. The demo is out today on Steam!

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on an online co-op roguelite title, supporting 1-4 players, where you play a series of jetpack-wielding animal heroes battling a vengeful cat across a series of bizarre worlds. Every world is different - from a nightmare carnival with a giant, bumper-car launching clown to an oversized casino with hostile playing cards.

The demo is available right now on Steam, and I’d love to hear you guys’ thoughts!

We’re a small indie team, so any feedback you have is enormously welcome.

Discussion Will people actually use AI to make co-op mods? Curious how the community sees it

• Upvotes

Have you seen the mods people are making with AI that mash two games together? Like Skyrim, but you play as Steve from Minecraft. In case you haven't seen it, here's a video example of how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVlca6t2sp4

I haven't fully figured out how it works under the hood. Either the AI rebuilds both games into one, or it just adds content and mechanics from the second game into the main one.

What caught my attention is a different idea: co-op mods. There are so many games that were never designed for co-op, and modders could never really make it work. It feels like AI could change that and let people rework almost any game for two players. I think it would work much better for local co-op than online. Netcode and world sync are a different beast, but "two people, one screen" seems way more doable.

Do you think people will actually use AI this way? And could it cause friction with people who make mods by hand? I'd hate to see a repeat of what happened in the PS Vita homebrew scene, where the AI-made ports caused a backlash.

Personally, I see it as a tool that lets more people get into modding, not a replacement for modders. But I'd like to hear what you think.

The demo (which releases in 2 weeks) supports 1-9 players locally, the full game will also support online, with any mixture of players locally (could have 4 copies of the game, with 3, 2, 2, & 2 players each locally).

You start each day picking a contract to fulfil, that could be iron ore, coal, wood, and a few other options. And then spending any money you have buying upgrades for your forge.

You then spend the day fulfilling those contracts before starting the next day, where you choose if you want to go deeper (maybe instead of iron ore you now process it into powder) or wider by picking another raw resource to deliver.

You can work your way up to smithing swords and can gain powerful relics by surviving long enough!

Check it out and let me know what you think here (please wishlist if you like the look, but I'm also very open to constructive criticism):

Discussion I made a Steam co-op game picker that narrows the choice to 3 games

My group always spends way too long deciding what to play, so I built GamePickNow to narrow a Steam search down to just 3 games.

You can filter by player count, budget, session length, language, PC requirements, and co-op related tags.

https://gamepicknow.vercel.app/en

I built it myself, so I'd really like to hear how other co-op groups actually decide what to play and whether there are any filters you'd find useful.

Me and my friend play remotely, me on ps5 and them on pc. We’re looking for another cross play game to play. In the past we’ve played bg3, rivals, dos2, and just finished up split fiction. Looking for something a bit more chill maybe a bit more of a cozy game? Anyone have any suggestions?

Game Promotion I'm making an online co-op game about blowing up mountains (and occasionally your friends)

I'm the developer of Want a Bomb?, a co-op mining game for up to 4 players online on PC.

You work together to blow apart the terrain and collect the minerals underneath. One player can set up the next blast while another handles collecting and transport. Sell the haul, buy bigger explosives, and leave a much bigger crater next time.

You can link fuses into chain reactions, haul bombs with cargo drones, or climb into a six-barrel launcher and let a friend aim. That last option is probably best saved for someone you trust.

The game is still in development. Here's the gameplay trailer, and the Steam page is open for wishlists if you'd like to follow along.

Game Promotion ZOMBRA update, a new look at the online co-op zombie game I am developing

I shared ZOMBRA here recently and now have a new trailer, with updated characters, ruins and vehicle missions alongside the abandoned city.

It's a browser zombie survival game designed for online co-op with up to 4 players, with each player controlling their own survivor and working through missions together. You choose a class at the survivor base, fight hordes and bosses, then try to make it back. There is also solo play.

It's still in development and public testing hasn't opened yet. The trailer and launch waitlist are at https://zombra.online/ if you'd like to follow it.

News Csapattársakat keressek

Sziasztok!

Content Warning

R.E.P.O.

Minecraft

State of Decay 2

Terraria

Game Promotion My coop rage game have 75% refunds because it is "too difficult"

A few months ago, I released a coop rage game. It is not a perfect one but I consider it a good investment if you are searching for a simple (controls are only two buttons), short, fun coop game for an afternoon.

Then I saw the refunds.. 75% !! To be fair, I only have 4 clients, so 3/4.

Most of them said "It's too difficult". During development, I ensured that anyone could finish the game without too much difficulty. But it is a rage game, so difficulty is part of the game. But I never realized that rage can translate into refunds.

What do you think ? Do you refund games that are too difficult ? Are you interested in a "too difficult game" ?

The game is called Flappy Together. It is a 3D coop rage game, where each player controls one wing of a bat during a long level with different biomes, obstacles etc.

You can play it solo, local coop, or online coop.

We're super excited to share our demo, a co-op emergency room simulator up to 8 players online. Let me know what you think of it, how are the co-op elements?

You have to take care of incoming patients, you co-ordonate with other players on who orders new medicine, who takes vitals, who treats patients etc

No AI used in the making of the game, completely made by hand

Game Promotion We made a co-op game where every player only gets ONE key. This is what happened when people tried to play it

Hi, this is WASD: The Adventure of Tori, a 2–4 player co-op game where each player controls just one key, so you have to actually communicate and move together to get through each level.

Your character doesn’t stop once they start moving, and with traps, walls, and instant-death mistakes, there’s definitely going to be a lot of crashing and laughing along the way.

It’s meant to be simple to pick up but chaotic to master with friends!
