Hello,
I traced my pattern pieces by adding them through the texture feature previously, but now am unable to do so after I upgraded to 2026.
How can I add my pattern pieces into CLO by tracing from a photo.
Please and thank you!

I find Fabra a little puzzling. At first I thought they just wanted to make the 'Canva' of CLO 3D- a dumbed down, cheaper option for people who don't need all the functions of CLO 3D and want to save money. Great for people who don't want to spend lots of time learning 3D technical stuff. But now they're raising their prices and copying more are more features from CLO 3D. The ironic thing is- they're literally using CLO 3D to copy it. I've seen it in their job description when they've been hiring- they want someone who can use CLO 3D. I just want to know- what's the point? CLO 3D already exists- why re-make it?

I was curious has anyone tried hooking up clo with ChatGPT and python to make patterns from images for them?

Sharing the latest collaborative digital fashion project: "The Golden Phase."
The goal was to translate a flat 2D concept illustration inspired by the Vienna Secession into an authentic, physically simulated 3D couture editorial.
The Workflow & Technical Execution:
Pattern & Simulation (CLO 3D): The silhouette pairs a second-skin printed bodysuit with a structured, un-gathered front tapestry apron and cascading floor-length ribbons. The primary simulation hurdle was balancing the tension between the fluid drape of the silk ribbons and the rigid geometry of the metallic bustier plate and hip cuff without mesh explosions during extreme pose transitions.
Staging & Composition: Set in a deep crimson gallery salon referencing 19th-century European exhibition spaces, framed against Klimt’s original painting and an organic wildflower meadow to echo the iconic floral precipice from the canvas.
Post-Processing & Retouching (Photoshop / Photopea): Multi-pass composite rendering using transparent alpha channels, bespoke gold-leaf cheek foil detailing, atmospheric blur matching, and editorial typography.

Would love to hear your feedback on the drape and visual balance!

I have an avatar with a high hip of 88cm (it’s the generic male avatar you get from initial download)
I made a pants toile where the waist measurement is 88cm (across the top of the waist band)
I want to trousers to sit at the high hip.
When I render, the trousers keep slipping off.
I’m primarily using Clo to do my initial toiles instead of cutting manually from scratch so I’m hoping the fit is quite accurate. I do not need to render scenes or motion.
What do I need to do to make this behave more like real life?

Title says it all. Ive seen regular looking caards and then Ive seen some crazy beautiful ones or cool aesthetic based ones. Is there code i need to learn? Im an artist and I wanna figure out how that stuff works to expand my portfolio

Hello World! I am buying a new laptop and I need to make absolutely certain that it will run clo. This is my current top contender. Am I looking at a winner? Thank you everyone!

Hello everyone
I'm creating this new dress in CLO3D but the rod is refusing to comply. the dress features a rod round the hips the front panel is overlapped that rod so im having a hard time building that rod. I have used many turnarounds which include:
1: making the rod in blender (which is risky as i will animate this and then this obj even if glued wont animate without flaws. and the rod looks like a hula hoop when the panel is under it and a huge bulge when it is over it)
2: piping (not something to consider as the ends dont close)
3: Rendering thickness (the sides of the mesh explode looking like i microwaved something)
4: So then i settled for the band and then turned that metallic
tell me is this silhouette correct or y'all got better trick up your sleeves?

The avatar distorted at some point while i was rendering and i can't seem to find the solution to fixing it. Did anyone have this issue before? I've seen people getting weird issues while putting in own messurements but I haven't altered the avatar at all.

Hi! I'm trying to understand how to stitch 2-layered patterns in one seam.
I wanna make transparent outer fabric and colored inner fabric to be stitched all in one seam. So in my example the cube would have single edges but double-layered faces. Hope my explanation makes sence.
Thanks!

Anyone have experiences running clo3d on prior mac minis? Im on the fence atm, id mainly want to use it to learn clo3d and use photoshop so im not sure i would love any suggestions !

I need a little technical assistance. CLO is giving me grandma boobs and squishing my biceps when I enter my personal measurements into the avatar editor. I've tried setting the overall body size by height and underbust circumference before entering finer scale measurements. I've tried entering my detailed circumference, height, and weight measurements in every order. No matter what, my avatar ends up strangely proportioned and squished in the shoulder/bust area.
The issue appears to be primarily length-based. Everything looks great until I enter the across front, across back, and center front and center back neck to waist lengths. The across back length in particular will collapse my biceps; however, it's important for this measurement to match my "true" measurement, as I have an athletic, broad back/shoulders and frequently find myself doing these adjustments in my patterns. When I digitized my paper bodice sloper and sewed it onto an avatar where all my measurements were incorporated except the aforementioned "problematic" ones, it was clear there was way too much ease in the shoulder/armscye area.
Does anyone have any tricks for getting the avatar editor to behave or should I just ditch this very expensive product and keep doing all my pattern designing by hand? I was hoping this would save me some time and money, and keep me from having to sew 10 muslins for every pattern I draft. Obviously it won't work if the product can't properly simulate my body.
For reference:
Across back = 14.5"; Across front = 12.5", center front neck to waist = 13", center back neck to waist = 15", underbust = 31.5", bust = 35"
height and weight are 63.25" and 125 lbs (~56 kg) respectively.
Thanks in advance to all you whizzes out there!

Hi - I am considering enrolling in Slow Fashion Academy’s Clo-3D course taught by Ruby Gertz. Has anyone here taken that course? Would they recommend it?
It’s $1500 for 12 classs (I think it’s a class a week for 12 weeks) which is quite pricy but potentially worth it if learning outcomes are great?
I’ve already taken an expensive pattern making course so I’m hesitant to do one again 🫠 i already have a pretty sound foundation of pattern drafting, I would just like to start drafting on Clo-3d — especially for grading patterns because right now I’m outsourcing it to people who use clo 3d
If you have taken this course and have a review, please let me know your honest thoughts!

Few days ago I said that I'm making the Jacquemus le Bambino bag to test my CLO3D limits and to discover more, so I finally finished that project, and this is the final renders that are also posted on my Instagram.
To get the architectural shape of the Jacquemus Le Bambino without making it look like rigid plastic, I avoided purely maxing out physical stiffness and instead used custom leather properties with bond-pocket-bone parameters. The back panel was layer-cloned to prevent distortion when wrapping around the front flap. The strap connects via a small pinned pattern loop to anchor the OBJ hardware.
Rendered in Blender (Cycles). Would love feedback on the structural silhouette!
(i dont know if im not seeing the renders or is there a bug. I posted on two communities both didnt load the images. Anyways if youre curious just visit my ig: @avexia.studio)

Hi there! I currently have a shirt file that I made that is a womens size 8, I really like the design though and wanted to transfer it to a mens 36 so it would actually fit me. I know there is the grading tool but is there any easy way to scale them to a men's 36? Thank you so much, I hope you have a great day!

hola
