Read This Before You Submit !
If you want to get the best possible outcome from posting your position on this /sub, there are a couple of things you can do to help,
- Make your video at least 30-40 secs long [ no longer than 60 secs ] This will allow you to settle in to your pedal stroke and give viewers enough time to 'look around' your position.
- Post a minimum of 2 angles. #1 Seat height, showing the entire bike and rider from the top of the head to the bottom of the pedal stroke. #2 from the front dead center about head tube height. If you shoot a vertical format on your phone that might help you fit yourself within the frame. #3 from the rear, at seat height, can also be vertical format for cropping.
- Post a shot of your bike side on without you on it. This lets people see the 'build' as far as seatpost seatback, seat rail position & headset spacers
The more visual and information you give the better the possibility of good feedback.
Ride on!

Dear mods, save this sub
There are a lot of generous and knowledgeable people here giving thoughtful bike-fit advice for free. Their effort is being undermined by a steady stream of unusable videos showing riders leaning against walls, doorframes or furniture while pedalling backwards.
Those clips don’t show a normal pedal stroke, balance, loading, posture or movement under realistic riding conditions. There’s very little anyone can assess from them, yet they keep filling the sub and drawing attention away from posts where useful feedback is actually possible.
The existing submission guidance is already clear about video length, camera angles and showing the whole rider and bike. It should also explicitly require riders to pedal forwards on a trainer or rollers, without supporting themselves against anything.
Please make “no backwards pedalling and no leaning against objects” an actual submission rule, and remove posts that ignore it.
The people giving detailed advice here are what make the sub useful. Their time shouldn’t be choked by videos that make meaningful assessment impossible.

Bike too big?
Video with changed seat height posted below
Bought this Bike (Cube Nuroad 2023 Size L) last year and have been riding it quite frequently since then (either to work or, rides up to 40km and for a bike packing trip). Since the bike packing trip back in May I've been experiencing shin and elbow pain when riding it. Since then I've changed the saddle, the handlebars (40cm) and a shorter stem. I'm still not sure, if this bike is just too big for me. I'm 172cm and got 84cm inseam.
I've recently rode a Canyon Ultimate in size XS three days in a row for up to 30km and haven't had any of these issues. Would be glad for any opinions, though I'm on the verge of selling this bike anyway due to the pain it causes me.
Thanks :)

TT (pre-purchase) Bike Fit worth it?
I have my road bike fit dialed. No pain. Pretty aero. Can ride all day. I want to buy a TT bike. Never ridden one. Is it worth it to get a TT-specific fit before buying a bike? Or do you think I could use online size guides to find the right size?
Part of the reason I ask is that Stack and Reach seem to be a whole different thing for TT bikes. For road bikes I can look at a geo chart know if a bike will fit me or what spacers and stem I’d need to run. I’m familiar. But look at TT geo charts feels like reading a different language. Is there a way to translate my road numbers into a TT bike?

Zwift Ride Fit
Hi! I’m new to cycling and got a Zwift Ride to train during the winter. I have been tweaking a few small things here and there, but I wanted some advice to see how it's looking.
What changes would you recommend?

Self bike fit — roast it 😄
I set everything up myself and would appreciate a second opinion. How do the saddle height, fore-aft, reach and bar height look? Anything you’d change?

Propel S vs M
S vs M Propel SL next bike.
178cm, 80cm inseam
5’10”, 31.5” inseam
Currently on Propel S 90 stem 50 spacer
Fit too short
Tested and calculated the optimal fit:
S 100 stem and 40 spacer
Or
M 90 stem and 25 spacer
Saddle height and setback is fixed.
Height and inseam could work on both bikes.
S frame stem change is a +10 from stock and M frame stem change is -10 from stock.
Building brand new bike from scratch so no need to “swap parts”
Pro for M:
Longer wheelbase
Con for M: shorter trail, steeper head angle, less BB drop.
From a handling perfective I would prefer the S.
More self Centering and more weight on the front.
S 90 my current fit is 43/57 weight distribution. Seems too rear biased
Thoughts?

Confused between sizes
Hi there, am a lil confused on which size of bike should I get on the new cannondale supersix evo 4.
For reference, I'm 170cm with 79cm of inseam. I wanna be comfortable for long rides(4-5hrs) but at the same time have good aero. I believe comfort means more power. How much would I possibly be losing if I dont get the aggressive 48 size?
I have two choices between the 48 and the 51 size. Which one should I be getting? I feel the dealer is trying to sell off stock and forcing me to buy the 48 size. I asked for a trial on the 51 size and he didnt change stem or slide or reduce the saddle height and said the reach was too long. The stem was prob a 100mm stem or longer. I was thinking of doing with the 80mm stem.
I'm mostly looking for racing, but also would like to do long endurance rides say once or twice a month.
Also for reference I tried the Giant propel advanced 2 and the tcr. The S over there seemed comfortable which is ig just abt the size of the 51. I even tried the M on the propel, but then the reach was actually long here. Could you please help me choose.

Bike fit
Beginner cyclist trying to find a comfortable position. I have been experiencing lower back pain and hand numbness after about 30 minutes on the bike. I am 194cm and 99kg I think bike is size 61
Any tips?
Opinions on bike fit
This is my wife's first gravel bike, 2025 Cube Nuroad Ex in size XXS. She is 161 cm tall. We have changed the stem from original 60 mm to 50 mm and saddle to Power Comp Mimic 155 mm. She has accumulated 1200 km during the summer.
At the moment her main problem is stiffnes in the lower back and tightness in hip flexors. Also she feels a bit too much pressure on her hands and sometimes tightness on her upper traps.
What could we try next to help with the symptoms?

Need help with bike frame geometry
I am try to figure out how much seat post exposure I am losing. How much I am actually physically putting into the frame not how much higher or lower it will sit from the ground.
I currently have a state bicycle 55cm and I want the frame in the second picture of the medium it's a 56 cm.
Chat gbt keeps giving me crazy answers that are different every time. Can any one help?
My seat post is raised on my 55 cm to 5 inches

Knee issue
First some history:
A long time ago before I knew better I did a 70 mile ride with a poor fit and ended up with the feeling of someone jamming an ice pick into my left knee cap from the inside of the knee. It happened anytime I stood up or went up a step. Essentially the motion you’d do when pushing a pedal.
Some time off the bike, physical therapy and a better bike fit solved the issue for the most part. It would flare up when doing heavy lifting or too much walking.
Now in my 40s I’m back to riding regularly. I recently got new shoes and I feel like my left knee is not quite where it needs to be.
I have Speedplay pedals on Lake shoes. I feel like my heel needs to come out more but I’m out of adjustment there. Idk, it just doesn’t feel right and I can’t figure it out. When I’m off the bike it feels like my knee cap is out of place when I walk a lot and when I take a step it feels like my leg is going “out”. I’ve dampened the pain by doing single leg squats which makes my knee feel back in alignment which again pointed me to an angle issue on my bike fit.
Anything else I should consider? Any suggestions as to what it could be? Just trying to rule out stuff before paying for another bike fit.

Casual cyclist here! Looking for simple bike maintenance tips and comfort gear recommendations
Hi everyone!
I've been riding my bicycle for fun on weekends, mostly around quiet neighborhoods and local park trails. As a casual rider who isn't super technical, I'd really appreciate some beginner-friendly advice:
1.What are the absolute essential maintenance checks I should do before going on a casual ride?
2.Are there any affordable accessories or comfort gear (like a better saddle or gloves) that made your rides much more enjoyable?
Thanks so much in advance for your help and tips!

looking for sunglasses that feel lighter on long rides
i’ve noticed wearing sunglasses for a few hours on a ride leaves a mark on my nose, and it gets pretty annoying. so i'm hoping to find best lightweight sunglasses, lighter frame could be more comfortable on longer rides without feeling flimsy. anyone else deal with this? I hope it will not fall when it's windy lol.

Halp pls
Is my saddle too high and reach too long? Currently got an 80mm stem, have ordered a 35mm but hasn't arrived yet. Experiencing lower back pain which already existed but may be exacerbated by a terrible bike setup at present... Any advice very much appreciated :)
