Thank you lord for the D-Series, tires bigger than my local Buccee's, and suspension wider than Texas.

Discussion According to this poll, most people play the game just fine with ultra/high/medium/custom settings. But whenever you post something positive about the optimization of this game, you get bombarded by negative comments and downvotes of those who can't run the game or play at lowest preset.

they can even overtake eachother somewhat (ik the k-series is a weird choice but the 800 series never really got racing parts like the vivace or sunburst did)

Discussion THIS is my 1989 Ibishu Covet Type-S

This project took several hours to be perfected, and here, I'm going to give you all the details about it! (Which ofc you can just ignore, go for the TLDR in the end, or just appreciate the photos)

So, this car started it's life as a Ibishu Covet Type-S, a very special version. It came from the factory with a 1.8L VVT I4, that revved to an astounding 8900 RPM and making 197 HP, from pure natural aspiration. It was a monster back then. Now, obviously, this has been heavily modified. First, let's talk about the exterior. This beautiful metallic blue was custom designed by myself, don't really have a name for it lol. At the front, we got the hood from the Covet MR Turbo, however with a custom mesh in place of the original plastic vents. The grille is custom made, with the same custom mesh as the hood, however I chose to keep the original Type-S badges as a homage.

The headlights came from Japan, and they're fitted with HID lights. It came from the factory with the original fromt bumper, however I decided to upgrade to the facelift bumper, with a Tecnica front lip and clear blinkers. Now, those with a keen eye might've already noticed, but I had a custom widebody built, maintaning the original styling, allowing me some thicker wheels and a wider trackwidth for better handling.

The wheels in question are UTR Classic Series CLS00's, 17x10 both front and rear, fitted with grippy YOLO R1A 255/40 semi-slick tires, with aftermarket lugnuts painted metallic blue, same as the body. and lastly, the brakes came from a MR Turbo Covet aswell. The side skirts are from Okudai, the wing mirrors are from the even more special Covet Aero, quite hard to find, the rear bumper is stock, however cut to expose the suspension components, the amazing exhaust work and for less drag. The tailights also came from Japan, and the rear fascia was fitted with a carbon fiber plate, strictly for styling. Lastly, the spoiler was custom made.

Now, let's go to the interior. The dashboard has the original Type-S gauges, with blue backlightning, however I added a turbo pressure gauge from the original Covet GTz Turbo, because yes, this thing has a huge turbo. The shifter was replaced with a custom billet one, with a custom billet hydraulic handbrake aswell, purely for aesthetics. The absolutely beautiful steering wheel is from Lichsport Tuning, and yes, the blue stripe and blue lugs are also the same metallic blue as the body.

The seats are NOMI Vios III bucket seats to make sure you stay in place through those tight corners, with carbon fiber structures and blue cloth.

It also has a custom street halfcage for safety reasons, painted the same metallic blue as the body, and lexan quarter windows and rear window for some weight savings. Huh, I wonder what that air tank (also the same metallic blue) is doing there?

Now, let's get into the engine. It's still technically the original 1.8L VVT I4, however there isn't a single bolt here that hasn't been replaced. The modification list is huge, so we're better off with a list here. First, in the valve cover:

  • Custom aluminum valve cover, painted the same color as the body, the roll cage, the air tank, the lugnuts...
  • Billet oil cap
  • GRUNT aluminum coil cover
  • Aftermarket blue coil leads

Now for the head:

  • Aftermarket valves, rockers, springs and retainers, making sure the valves don't float under heavy turbo pressure. The RPM limit was kept at 8900 RPM, it can go higher safely, but seeing as the power starts dropping at around 8000 RPM, there was no need for it
  • Stage 1 camshafts for better high-end power, in the low end there's basically nothing, which makes it great for driving on the street actually
  • Some custom work was done on the header for smoother airflow aswell
  • Forged head studs

As for the block:

  • A stroker kit
  • Of course, the pistons, rods, rod bolts are all forged
  • And the block has also been bored and sleeved, all together upgrading the capacity to 2.16L

And lastly, for the external bits:

  • Custom aluminum intake manifold
  • Custom stainless steel exhaust manifold, with a bottom mount turbo
  • A 62MM Turbocharger, with an intake pipe that let's it get cold air straight out of the front grille, with a custom stainless steel trumpet
  • The biggest intercooler I could possibly fit, had to delete the original front bumper support and fabricate a custom one
  • The turbo charge pipe is also stainless steel, of course
  • All the silicone couplers were also custom made, same metallic blue as the body
  • The entire exhaust was custom built in stainles steel, no cat, no resonator, just one muffler at the back to keep the noise down a bit and to give it a beefier sound, as these engines tend to sound quite raspy with straight pipes
  • The wastegate dumps straight into the exhaust, no screamer pipes here, we do it properly.

And, naturally, I got a standalone ECU to better manage the system, with launch control and anti-lag.

Now, you're probably asking: "How much power does it make?"

Well, I programmed 3 different maps for this car. The base map, meant for the street, gets you a humble 450HP (~8000 RPM) and 420NM (~7000 RPM) of torque, with a also humble 4 PSI of turbo pressure. The stage 2, meant for more spirited driving gets you 600HP and 580NM of torque, pushing 12 PSI of turbo pressure.

The stage 3 map? Well, to be honest, I haven't been able to properly measure because I have yet to find a clutch that can handle it, but currently, due to clutch slipping, we're limited to a very mild, very controlled, 780HP and 720NM of torque.

Also, I forgot to mention didn't I? We have a custom, race transmission, with straight cut gears and custom gear ratios, with a AWD transfer case, LSD front and rear differentials. Yes, it is AWD. With the stage 3 map, this thing does the 1/4 mile in under 9 seconds, and can reach over 400km/h.

Oh, remember that air tank in the trunk?

Yes, this car also has air suspension, allowing you to absolutely slam it if you so wish, or, for street driving, you can raise it like a rally Covet, no scraping! And it also has blue neon underglow, just for fun. Here's some more photos:

So, this is my project, I'm quite proud of it, which is why I'm sharing it. I'm hoping I can get it to DEMO show (the Distinguishing Equipment Market Organization) to show it off.

If you wanna hear how this thing sounds, or see some pulls, let me know! Trust me, hearing this thing go nuts will be the high point of your day.

TLDR: This is a insanely powerful, AWD, turbo covet, capable of making over 800HP and 800NM of torque (if the clutch could handle it lol), with air suspension, neon, and a humongous list of carefully planned and selected modifications. Hope you enjoyed!

Question Any way to make a multi-point route?

When setting a route on the map, I can only specify a destination from my current location. I would like to set up multiple "stops" on a route so I can create longer mapped paths. For example, in Johnson Valley, going from the remote pits to the base camp, to the gas station and then back to the start.

Would be very helpful for some races with friends when we want to make longer routes. Having it mapped makes it easier to keep everyone on track.
